    We just bought a new travel trailer, so I wanted to do some mods to my 2016 F150 2WD. It was either that, or go get a new F250 (stripped down model $40K+, no thanks!). Went with LT265/70R18 tires, a little more than 2” bigger than stock. Speedo was off 5 mph on the freeway. Followed these instructions, and now the speedo is dead on. Didn’t use the speedo and GPS formula, just the tire and rim size one. Also had the axle re-geared from the stock 3.31 to 4.10. Noticed there was a spot on the spreadsheet (right above tire circumference) to reset the BCM for different axle ratios. Went ahead and did that, keeping my fingers crossed I won’t screw something up. Worked great, speedo is still accurate. I heard you need to do that to keep the fuel economy calculator accurate, and I think it corrects the shift points on the tranny for the new gear ratio. Very happy with this, thanks Ricardo!

    Worked great on my 2019 F150. Calibrated for 285/75R17 (33.8" tires) and confirmed with GPS speedometer. Threw a DTC - PCM U0422. PCM relearn didn't work and couldn't clear code but nothing shows in the cluster. Seems ok so far, will update if any further issues come up. Thanks for this video!

    Not necessarily, but the speedometer will be off... you could really be driving at 60mph, but speedometer could show 55mph. And transmission could be changing gears at wrong intervals.

    Stock 18” rims and stock 265/60/18 tires on my 19 5.0 was 1 mph off at 85mph. I just did the flash for mine with a new 33x12.50R20 setup and it’s like 1.5 mph off. I’m going to play with it a little more and get it as close as I can, or at least back to only 1 mph off if possible and then I’ll upload the numbers to the forscan community document (if I can find out how to do that) I have nitto ridge grapplers btw. There was no 33x12.50R20 on the list.

    Hello Ricardo I just bought my car. Mondeo MK5 2015 2.0TDCİ I think the previous owner tampered with the software a little. He revised the instrument panel to vignale etc. My question is, my fuel gauge is not working properly. It decreases very quickly, even if I fill the tank full, the indicator does not show full. After the range reaches 0 km, there is another 15 liters of diesel in the tank. Can I fix this via Forscan? What are the values that I can adapt or correct? I would be very glad if you help.

    Doesn't work on the 2020 models. Tried this today on my 2020 F150 after installing 34 inch tires. Did all the resets for trans, pcm, etc, but kept getting a steady check engine light. Wasn't the P160 code. Think it was P0600 or something. ECM/BCM module configuration error. As soon as I set the tire size back to stock, the code was able to be cleared. Ford must have changed something that no longer allows forscan to modify tire sizes in the 2020 models. Chances are, the factory tire size is hard written into the ECM, and when you change the tire size in the BCM, it throws a configuration code. Will have to seek other venues for speedometer calibration as forscan is a no go for the 2020 models when it comes to speedometer calibration.

    @@WeekendWarriors87 I tried this today on my 2020 F150, 5.0, and it doesn't work. If you modify the tire size in the BCM, and you'll get a steady check engine light for a ECM/BCM configuration issue. This is not the P160 code that many people get and subsequently deal with by performing ECM and TCM resets. I believe it was a p0600, and no amount of reset procedures will clear it. I had to change my tire size back to stock to finally clear the check engine light. The ECM probably has to be re-written with the new tire size, and forscan can't do that. Chances are, an aftermarket calibration device is required.

  • @Sagittarius-88

    @Sagittarius-88

    @@WeekendWarriors87 I'm going to try a factory tire size code, and see if that takes. My truck came with factory 20 inch wheels, but I ditched them for aftermarket 17s with LT 285/75 R17 tires, which is about 33.9 inches tall. That tire size isn't on any factory Ford vehicle. A 275/65 R20, however, is. That's a factory F250 tire, which is only .3 inches taller than the tire size I'm running. I'm wondering if there's something in these modules that doesn't like non-factory tire size codes. I'm gonna give it a shot and see how it goes. If necessary, I'll fork out a couple bucks for an aftermarket calibrator and see if that gets the job done.
