ℹ️ About the episode:
In this episode, we visit Acadia National Park and forget to make a reservation. So we quickly made reservations just outside the gate and surprisingly, it all worked out! We were so looking forward to hiking the Bee Hive Trail and it did not disappoint. Is it the scariest hike in Maine? You can decide, but if you're afraid of heights, it's right up there with Angles Landing. Then we made our way from Bar Harbor ME to Littleton Franconia Notch KOA Holiday in New Hampshire and found another great hike just 3 miles from the campground. Fall is upon us now (in the videos) and there is more to come from the White Mountains next Sunday!

Right? We were just there in Acadia. I feel like 90%of the people had never even been on a walk in their neighborhood! A HUGE pet peeve of mine when camping is people using their key fob to lock their vehicles. Car horns is the last thing I want to hear besides a dog barking.

Great way to capture how you adapt and overcome. Living in PA, we have ALL of the Fall colors, so I enjoy when people get to see something that we take for granted. Franconia Notch is awesome, definitely a recommended place to visit, and the Gorge, while touristy, has it's own charm. There are definitely better "natural" hikes, but I have as many pictures and memories from there as any of the others.

Another great video, stunning video. I love Trish trippin out on the leaves. I do the same with all of natures little bits and bobs... sometimes little agates on the shoreline or mushrooms you find along the trailway. Being a Midwesterner, leaves and 4 distinct seasons is life, never take it for granted. Snow will be here soon. I typically stick to WI and MI for my RV season but this video inspires me to head to Maine. Revisit a trip my parents did (now deceased). Thanks again for your great content. Be sure to take the time for yourselves and be safe out there! Peace and Love!

Beautiful views and a hike that isn't for the faint of heart! lol That hike would not have been for me, but it did look like lots of fun. The foliage was beautiful and the weather looked amazing...until it wasn't. lol Weather changes in a snap. But fall is a stunning time of year here in the East. I always love watching the leaves dance their way to the ground. Loved the hot pink leaf too! Hugs, Brenda

HI Trish! I so understand the need to take multiple pictures while on a hike, I do the same thing!!!

If you took Rt 3 from Belfast to Augusta, you practically went right by my house. Those traffic circles have accidents at them daily.

I have been hearing the term Leaf Peeping, since moving to the East Coast. You are officially Leaf Peepers! I now understand the term and what it means to be a leaf peeper as Trish is bending down to take portraits of leaves! By the way, there is no way I could have gotten back down that trail you went up! All I can say is the dizzies would set in and then I would be stuck holding the top metal rung!

Love Acadia. We rode the park including the horse rides on our tandem in 2004. Time to go back!

Love the hikes that you go on and that one was so awesome. Seeing the leaves reminded me when I lived in Maryland. Nothing like the plum, orange, yellow and red leaves. Having a blast watching your videos. Thanks and safe travels. See ya next Sunday.

My husband and I really enjoy your channel! Your scenery shots are breathtaking and we look forward to each new video In fact, you helped persuade us into starting RVing. We have a small couples camper, which is perfect for us right now. We will definitely be going bigger after we retire! Thank you for what you do!

Nice to see you guys getting out and enjoying the hikes. We were there, Acadia, last fall and hiked the Beehive, Precipice, and many other popular trails. A good way to use All Trails app is to use the maps and zone in on a 30 mile radius to filter on the most popular trails. It’ll sort by all the best/most popular trails starting from the top. It’s hard to go wrong when sorting by “most popular”. Mt Washington has some phenomenal hiking trails in NH.

Accessibility? A big, fat ZERO. This hike is totally inaccessible to anybody with a disability. Gaining entrance to the park, with or without a park pass, does NOT make the hike accessible!

@@beefraz9510 I get that. Duh. I'm just saying that this particular hike is not accessible. It was great to "go along" & enjoy the experience, but there's no way to know you can consider that trail accessible.

If you think the Beehive trail is a scary trail you should have tried the precipice trail in Acadia. It had my heart beating. Beehive is a great warm up trail with great views of sand beach. I could spend a month hiking all the trails in Acadia. Love it.
