Can you ask Jessica for me if they are making to sell that TRENCH knife? I am very interested in buying. Please contact me to let me know.
I liked the looks and design of the third teams. It looks like an old fashioned trench knife, and almost as if they got consults from WW2 vets. They designed it as a brass knuckle AND a knife which makes the most sense, whereas the other teams focused too much on the blade.
Will it ‘keel’ tho?

It’s also possible the sound quality of the original recording sucked or they stuttered so they just had the judges re-record it in post.
That 3rd trench knife was very well designed.
Anybody else notice the same monotone overlay they use when he says fuel cans
I wish they would link the other segments of this episode. I want to see what else they did!

Great show
I liked the second guys knife it was nicely made and very smooth!!!
David is always complaining about hurting his hand. While the ergonomics of the grip and comfort are important, he does it so much more than everyone else that he comes off as a pampered baby sometimes.
When they say it's all about what your blade does to the rope but then go ahead and judge your blade.
Love this show
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls
Just looking at the comments I can tell that everyone caught the obvious additions about the cracks in the third pairs knife, but did anyone else feel that the sound effects of the fire hose slice really bad?
indeed
but then i took an arrow to the knee
Tough luck gals
These judges probably sit in their basement an slice up carcasses for fun
When you listen for it the same sound being used for the fuel can is so obvious
They should let Wil do some of the strength tests

@zagorith14

@@Hunter-os5yx They aren't making the knives to actually be used against people. They make them to test their skills as blacksmiths. So, no one is going to use the knives on full plate knights or anyone else for that matter. It's just testing the knives to see who is the better blacksmith. That's it.

I would very much not want to surrender my blade
lul the editing to fit in the critiques on the surface cracks
That adr about service cracks was painfully obvious
I was hear for the will it kill then smile test
Yeah! Still not as good as with a tactical dummy, but still awesome.
See, Joe and Casey know the point of those destruction tests. What is the point of making these large hard use blades if you do not stress test them to their limits. Without doing that how do you know their limits?
Do they not have keel test anymore?
A WW1 trenchknife stabbing in to jerrycans invented in 1936 Hmm

That's not a trench knife. A trench knife has three sides. A triangle.
definitely stabbier

I always thought a trench knife was a triangular poker to stab through trench coats..... like the M1917 trench knife, or the french nail.....
@Badger32284
5 жыл бұрын
Trench knives can have any blade shape, it's the knuckle guard thats the big thing. And sometimes the pommel spike. But the triangular shaped blades were to cause wounds that open more and are harder to close.
@boss-anova
5 жыл бұрын
@@Badger32284 ok, so the knuckle guard is the key. It is a stabbing weapon though, so an actual blade is not required?
@Badger32284
5 жыл бұрын
@@boss-anova I guess. I mean its a knife and usually they're meant to cut but obviously a trench knife is also meant to stab, so in the end I guess its up to the maker and user. If somebody makes a knife and calls it a trench knife but it doesnt cut, its just a stabby thing with like a knuckle guard who's to tell them they're wrong? It's their knife and it functions how they want it to thats all that matters.
