Great work, Tom. Not nearly enough reviewers focus on Infotainment setup and usability. So many cars are basically computers on wheels these days, I hope this kind of review becomes the norm in the future.

Tom, wow! So much great information.. 👍 information overload .. Ford put so many very useful technology in the Mach E! Truly impressive! and I truly don’t know how you are able to cover so much of it! Amazing contact for anyone looking to understand most of what the Mach E can do! Just a few things, Tom I use the backup start and the door pin code so many times, it’s most useful if your phone die and your key fob is at home, you can use the door pin to open the car driver door and use the back start to start and drive the car home without any phone or key fob! Very useful, even when at home and you don’t have your phone or fob on you .. The EV Driving history reset is only in that area, it does a true history reset it’s not a trip history reset, when you press it the car defaults back to factory base range numbers. The remote windows open/close is for the app btw .. also when you search for chargers in the car you can filter for DC fast chargers, however that just filter out level 2 chargers and put any speed DC fast chargers . And yes I truly like the volume nub! I never use the volume buttons on the steering wheel because most time I need to turn up or down the volume instantly! can’t do that with the steering wheel buttons..

I use the backup code a few times, this is for when the car does not recognize your phone as the key. Or if you Phone is dead, broken etc. You will still be able to use the door code to open the car and that backup code to start it up.

@Tom Moloughney - Excellent review of the option-rich infotainment system. This will be helpful when I take delivery of my Mach-E in a couple of weeks. Please consider a Table of Contents added to video description. That would greatly improve the usefulness (and repeat watching) of the video. BTW Tom (or anybody else), do you recall coming across a setting that would be similar to Tesla's "camper mode?" I didn't see one in this video but maybe I missed it or was in some section not covered. My understanding of "camper mode" is to have all systems off except for the HVAC and a limited time of the display/music.

That Elephant died. Go check the forums. The Mach-e has lots of software issues and bugs. There are build quality problems as well mostly related to the glass roof. This is to be expected with a new model, although it seems to be a wider range of issues than I'd expect. Anyway, the real problem seems to be how Ford is responding to them. Some folks are beginning to feel like they're not prepped for dealing with the software-related bugs.

I've never driven a Tesla, but I do own a Mach-E Premium 4X and I have zero issues beyond a slight dash display screen whine which is only noticeable with the vehicle in park, in a quiet setting while not moving. The one thing that drew me to the Mach-E vs the equivalent Tesla Model Y is the fact that the Tesla feels like Tesla skimped out on any extra costs and gave you one screen and and a steering wheel and zero buttons, combined with an ugly faux wooden dash (on a tech vehicle)??🤔 I'm not going to lie that turned me right off, but I do know some people love this. For me personally it's really not for me at all. Love the curves, the materials, the attention to detail and the hardware buttons I get with my Mach-E, not to mention the REAL WORLD RANGE that is actually better than the Model Y despite being officially EPA rated less than the model Y. Which if u ask me, I don't care about the advertising or the stickers.. what I care about is real the real world, with that said the Mach-E delivers more and is a much better value if u ask me! Absolutely love my Mach-E, and it has absolutely ruined me from ever driving am ICE vehicle again. My wife drives a 2019 Kia sorrento, and when I drive that car it honest to goodness feels like I'm driving a horse and buggy in contrast! Lastly I'll say this, I can't drive my iconic silver Mach-E anywhere without people pulling out their phones to take pics and video, even while driving! I honestly feel like a celebrity in this car, and if we're being honest here no one is giving the model Y that kind of attention!

I am really disappointed in your comment about how well the lane keep assist works. This is a key safety feature that many reviewers don't actually address. IMHO, on the MachE this works rather poorly compared to at least some other cars. It is really rendered inoperative by bright sunlight, any shadows on the pavement and slightly faded lane making lines. Also, the car has to be going at least 38 mph and almost perfectly centered for it to activate. Also, it is unable to steer you around anything but a mild corner and had no ability to adjust your speed. This is a MAJOR fail, and I have no faith in Ford to correct. This and several other major issues sadly eliminate the MachE from my purchase list.

Hey Bob. I used it on my 70-mph highway range test and drove 285 miles using it and it worked great. There wasn't a single problem or time it shut off or anything. I can only report on what I observe. I didn't use it on secondary roads, only highways and it worked really well.

Come on, Tom. You state easy entry/exit moves the (drivers) seat back AND steering wheel up. Incorrect, steering wheel is MANUAL adjust and does not move when I open the door. Viewers need to be able to TRUST your review. What else is incorrect, other than the decidedly inferior LKA/CoPilot360 that you praised. You guys get the privilege of driving these cars for extended periods of time as opposed to most dealers only allowing people like me only a short test drive.
