It’s amazing how much water there is, the waterfalls are beautiful 😍 please forgive me for being a worry wort but I have to mention it. some KZreadrs in France called moulin rouche lost their beloved dog in strong waters, it was so tragic and especially little sausage could be swept away so easily. I know you probably watch them so carefully 💗

Hewing, (to hew), I think is correct, and you can say they are hand-hewn by you! I'm a gardener and geologist so all that stone is so gorgeous. (Did you know that all granite, by definition, formed as molten lava in a volcano, but didn't erupt and cooled underground.)

Winter time is the time to clean up the property and the walls . I would put a good size pipe down for the water to run in to cross the road but bury it some where it crosses the road . I hope that y'all are going to clean the walls of all the trees that are growing the wall and all of the other weeds. Loved the lightening show at the beginning of this video.

Our expression for "it's raining cats and dogs" is "Está a chover a cântaros" meaning it's raining like when you pour down a lots of big pitchers of water to the floor (massive amount of water).

I’m thinking about weather as well. I’m in Littleton, Colorado where today it will be a high temperature of 23°f (-5°c) and a low of 13°f (-10°c)🥶 We’ve had about 10+ inches of snow in the last 36 hours. It feels like January, not October. I hope this isn’t a portent of the winter ahead. I try to imagine what is was like for people before there were weather forecasts. What you’re doing, even in the rain is amazing. What the stone masons are doing is incredible. Again, I ’m thinking about how all of those stone houses and walls were built before heavy machinery was invented. Thanks for sharing your week, missed seeing the children. Endless rain here too if that’s any consolation. Our village in Suffolk was completely cut off at one point. I’m in awe of those fabulous stone walls - they’re stunning. And making your own beams is so satisfying- and fun to watch. Hope you all have a good week

Sooo happy for you guys….it looks fantastic. Great time to see where water accumulates and put the pipes in the right spots instead of trying to do that in the summer when everything is dry so it’s working out great. Can’t wait to see next week’s episode. Love from Chile where Spring is here…our turn to get some nicer weather after getting trapped for over one month without being able to leave the property as the gravel road was totally impassible after getting over 300mm of rain in 5 days…the road was totally washed away and we had over 2 feet of mud where only huge tractors were able to come through. It’s now been fixed by the city thank God. Have a great week. Is that little dog yours now? ❤

Hi there you happy frogs! You should be happy you have all that water! Nature is! Here in Greece, in mountain villages they don't enclose the water in pipes, as it's flow is restricted and there's great danger for the roads and houses to be flooded. So, they dig streams along paths, roads and if the waterways go towards the building or through it' s garden, they dig streams they coat in cement and they leave holes for the hose which waters the vegetable garden. In the olden days they even used to build water damps with stones ,where they collected water from the stream or spring and led it to their fields again in streams.Wherever they've used piping the water floods in the winter.
