I'm massive fan of the change in the channel from a football channel to an "Interview with John's" channel.

I’d pay ridiculous money for a weekly Roger, John Oliver, and John Green football podcast.

I am so glad that the Men in Blazers show keeps popping up in my YT feed. While I record and watch the show on TV, it is much easier to consume it straight off YT. I only wish that I had 10% of the ability at sarcastic humor that Rog (and John Oliver) have. Brilliant show. Funny, insightful, and therapeutic even. Never a boring moment. I absolutely love it.

this show is beautiful. As someone who loves football as a reflection of the human condition, i cant express how nice it is to have people love the thing i love, for the reasons i love.

On simple beauty and the Firmino song, possibly my favorite memory from the Champions League Final in 2019 was the video from the RedmenTV youtube channel when the recording of that song by a small local Liverpool band done for charity starts playing "Si Senor" at the Wanda Metropolitano. RedmenTV had been pretty heavily involved in promoting it and the joy from Chris when he realizes what it is and then hears half of the stadium singing it in unison, it's just such a nice moment of the totality of footballing culture.

Love to see the two of them talking about Liverpool but they could talk about absolutely anything and I’d listen. John’s earnest, emotional, open approach to life is so refreshing. He’s got a City fan getting emotional about Klopp’s influence on the game and on his boys ❤

So gratified to hear you mention Ange in such glowing terms (what manner of monster would do otherwise?). I am a now-suffering Celtic fan, and we loved him. If he had stayed for another year or two, and gotten us out of the CL group stage even once, I can't express what it would have meant. Millions of ruddy, pasty-faced Scotsmen and Irishmen would have marched en masse to the Vatican, and demanded that he be the Greek since the Great Schism and the first living person in history, to be canonized a Catholic saint. Unfortunately, our board reverted to form - hiring a man who had left us mid season, but whose accent and religious background were palatable to the Auld Fenian Garde. They went on to take the millions they reaped from the sales of Giakoumakis, Jota, and Starfelt, and subsequently buy....... (crickets chirping). John Oliver said it well on your podcast - being a true football fan, is to live in a perpetual state of " *WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SILLY SODS THINKING* ?!?" I'm paraphrasing Mr Oliver, but I doubt he would mind the editorial license.

That's it for all honest fans...we love to hate our rivals and rub salt in their wounds and we allow this in ourselves because it's footy...delightful and terrible footy, the one arena where faux hatred is actually called for, not that hooligan shite who take it all too seriously where people can actually get hurt...no, no, none of that but seriously enough as fans, we love to hate them across the way who we ask in ridicule can they support that awful club? And we should allow this in ourselves for the sake of the catharsis that comes from letting ourselves be acceptably terrible and cruel to our "enemies" on derby day where this is kind of insane nonsense is and should be actually acceptable.

the other day, did I hear that the goalkeeper deflected a shot with his firm onanistic Dutch wrists? I must have been hallucinating, but then again I did hear a couple of times that footballers were self emoliating. Not immolating. Does this mean that they lost their lives in a barrel of vitalis? Love the interviews Rog. Boxer would be proud
