Thank you so much for this! You lit so many lightbulbs for me with your informative explanation of biomechanics and kinetic chain. I've been trying to understand what is going on with my right leg for years and this video wrapped it up so good!! I get it now and that is huge for me, thank you again!!! I went to a doctor and 4 different PTs, %99 of practitioners do not have this depth of understanding and therefore can't help heal your specific problems. Please upload more Wonderfull stuff like this!

@@sunfix991 Actually kinda good, I can walk normally but not for too long, when I go partying I just drink beer and take pain killers. Its fucked up because I like being as healthy as possible and that is total poison but yea can't complain when it was way worse. Still doubting if I want surgery.

Hi man, I'm in the same boat. I'm 47 and discover this thanks to youtube after pain since ever. Doctors are all ignorant in Switzerland. I you mix alcohol with painkillers you are not gonna make it out as a winner. Try to see if a surgery helps like the stent.

I would say the safe range is only when the achilles tendon is perpendicular to the floor.

I have hyperpronation due to a remote ATFL injury. Trying to get surgery to tighten up ligaments. Lateral ligaments are overlooked in role of pronation.

Thanks for this video ! I wonder how I can access your mobility program ? Maybe you sell this program ? live in Sweden and have really bad pain all along leg and hip from my overly pronated right foot. Whatever it takes I will do it.

You are looking at the WRONG end of the foot: the subtalar is where the eversion is noted and to what degree. FInd the medial and lateral boney facets of the joint while weight bearing. Have the patient roll the foot medially and laterally until there is congruence with this point margins and THAT is the neutral calcaneal stance position OR the midrange of the joint, i. e the idea midrange ...Supports try and return to that median position when successful

Love your vids! A query ; in Your pic at 3:10, doesnt the more hyper pronated foot cause the same side hip to be lower (not higher as in your pic ?) I’m confused

  • @Jackie-vw6eh

Ok to clarify - I’m taking about when standing, not walking . I think your pic is if the pronated foot side is lifted then the pelvis drops down on Opp side.

I have a friend who has bad foot pronation and a posterior tilt of the pelvis. You say ti will cause anterior tilt but I've seen opposite (and also the same). SO can't it be true that pronation of the foot can also coincide with a pelvis that is too posterior tilted? (my friend cant squat)

This video is excellent! My 2 year old has foot pronation, worse on one foot than the other. He has knock knees and just had an X-ray and doesn’t have any dislocations or fractures on his hips. Also had an MRI and no issues there. All normal. He wears Sure step orthotics and he’s been wearing them for about 9 months and those are helping slowly. I do stretching and massaging throughout the day. He does physical therapy biweekly! And we are starting Botox because he was diagnosed with Hypertonia. Do you recommend seeing a Chiropractor in his case? Thank you! This video is so helpful. Wish there was more information like this out there

No you don't. Work on your posture and wear Altra shoes. The provision has a design that keeps your foot from over pronating. Look into Squat University and follow the mobility programs. It helped me and my right foot was f*cked up

Nope . If it all possible ,it's only possible during childhood . Surgery is an option but we all know that there is a high chance that they can turn out unsuccessful and worsen the problem.

Yes it is. With lot of patience and exercise. You have to include these two every day for many years. Best part is, you will always be health conscious and aware of your body, which normal people ignore and suffer later in life.
