My brother and I saw them in 2015- it remains in my top 5 concerts ever. Out of 200+ in my lifetime - my brother got lost so I was alone for the majority of the show but the foo fans made sure I was ok, it was an honor to be there and I tell everyone if you have the opportunity- see them. I am so lucky I saw Taylor too.

I've heard this song so many times and even once in MSG when the Foo's re-opened the Garden after the pandemic, and this song has always made me think about someone that means EVERYTHING for me. Tonight, I feel the pain behind these lyrics for the very first time with unwelcome tears in my eyes.

I met a girl at a REO Speedwagon concert (1981) when I was 15. I had ditched my friends. She had ditched her friends. We never talked. We just stood there on the floor in front of Gary, oblivious to the sell out crowd and sung our hearts out (when we weren’t trying to devour each other) She tasted like Jack Daniels. I was devastated when the lights came on and her friend whisked her away. I wonder if this song reminds her of me like it reminds me of her stunning beauty…

In 1984 me and my friends went to the centrum in Worcester, Massachusetts to see Bon Jovi warm up for the scorpions during the concert I had eye contact from afar with a blonde who was in the arms of her boyfriend. I kept asking her for her phone number she kept pointing at him, saying that’s my boyfriend, when the concert was over, she made her way towards me and gave me her phone number 40 years later we are friends we had a 15 year sexual relationship between Kingston, New York and Worcester Massachusetts. We are both married, but maintain a Facebook friendship.

This song is timeless, and I don't say that because Grohl has ties to my neck of the woods or he came from Nirvana. He built himself a legacy that goes far beyond that including playing with Tenacious D which was so great. However as great as all Foo Fighters music is and how much I love Monkey Wrench(his voice at the end gives me the chills still) I think Everlong is a masterpiece and it just stands completely on an island by itselt as just a song that cannot be compared its just so epic.

It was just a random Situation. It was a Howard Stern interview😊
