Happy to see all of you here! We're excited with the launch of our new channel and hope to help you with all things organic gardening, homesteading and woodworking! I'm Luke and I have been wanting to make some videos to help others be successful gardeners, homesteaders and woodworkers. Together with my wife, our family, and my father and his, we hope our videos are a blessing to you as you learn how we put food on our table, take care of our homesteads and do some woodworking projects together!

Great suggestion! We are planning on doing just that! 😊 So many friends have requested help with their starter... it would be faster to simply make a video 😊 Have a blessed day!

Just found your channel the other day. 😊I am new to the sourdough community and seem to struggle getting a strong starter going. The starter in this video is the healthiest starter I’ve seen! Look forward to a future video on her starter instructions. I enjoy the simplicity of your videos. God bless your efforts.
These look so awesome! I agree with the others, please share your starter recipe and how to feed and please please please do more recipes! I would love to see a recipe to bread for bierocks! Thanks...from Kansas

I love your roll forming technique!
I love the tip about keeping the flour separate, as I also have a busy household and have never thought of doing that! Also love seeing how she stirred her dough with a simple fold over technique- it’s so much more gentle than what I have done with a fork or spoon. You think you really have to dive deep into the middle for a good mix, but that’s not what she did at all! Lol she made it much less work!
Hi Anna, I love how you have the perfect size technique. Great video.thanks & blessings

Welcome to our channel!
Great job on the video. My breads turn out like weights so Ana’s tip is great to err on lesser flour than more flour. I also have lots of holes in my bread so I may not let it rest long enough. My dough is also very very sticky so I have to add more and more flour to it. Also when I dump it out my dough goes back down to the original size. I’m just learning but you’ve helped me so much! Thank you!

Sounds like you might be letting it rise too long(deflates) and kneading it too much(sticky.) 😊

I’m enjoying all of your videos. I’ve even started some Muir lettuce seed on your recommendation. Topics I’d be interested in are: Anything to do with preserving the garden harvest for use in the winter. Anything cooking related. I enjoy simple, beautiful, nutritious but delicious food. Those rolls are a great example of beauty and simplicity. Anything related to creating and maintaining a successful garden. More specifically “seed saving.” You mentioned in another comment that you use a similar recipe for a soft sourdough sandwich loaf. It would be great to see you do a demonstration and share that recipe with us.

Happy baking! Blessings!
Good lookin out homie
Just baked a batch of these this morning. They are so delicious! This is a recipe I will make from now on for buns. Do you also form this same recipe into the large round loaves? Thank you Anna for sharing your recipe with us all. Just wondering if you would have any recipes you love using cabbage? Thanks again and God bless!
@GardeningHomesteadingWoodwork

That's great! I do not use the same recipe for the large, round loaves you see in the video. That is a different recipe and method. I do use a recipe very similar to the roll recipe, though slightly different, for loaf-pan, sandwich-style bread as well as for cinnamon rolls. My favorite way to use cabbage is for saurkraut! But we enjoy it other ways too! (Anna)

Can’t wait to try this recipe! Do the rolls freeze ok?
@GardeningHomesteadingWoodwork
3 ай бұрын
Yes, they freeze great! That's how we store them long term. Make sure that you thaw them inside the bag they were frozen in, otherwise they will dry out. The other thing to remember is if you want them to be like fresh rolls all you have to do is run them under a water spray nozzle briefly or use some other method to dampen them, then you put them inside a paper bag and roll up the end of your bag to close it up, put it in oven for 10 minutes at 350° or so. When you pull them out they should taste and have the texture of fresh rolls!
