Multi Purpose Dough | Universal Dough Soft And Fluffy Recipe

Hello darlings! Today, we are going to make a soft and fluffy Multi Purpose Dough. I've been using this foolproof recipe in most of my breads. You can use this in dinner rolls, milk bread, sausage rolls, cinnamon rolls, pandesal, ensaymada, cheese rolls, pizzas, and donuts too.
Here are the ingredients:
1 cup milk (250ml) (room temp)
1 egg
2¼ tsp instant yeast (7g)
¼ cup sugar (50g)
3 and ¼ cups all purpose flour (406g)
1 tsp salt (5g)
1/4 cup softened butter (50g)
1▪️ In a bowl, mix together milk, egg, yeast and sugar. Add flour and salt. Mix until dough is formed.
2▪️ Cover for 20 minutes then add butter and mix until butter is fully absorbed.
3▪️ Transfer to a lightly floured counter and knead until smooth and elastic. Dough is ready for proofing when it's not tearing when stretched. Form into a ball and place in an oiled bowl.
4▪️ Cover for 1 hour or until doubled in size. Punch dough to release gas. At this stage, dough is ready for any recipe that calls for this kind of dough.
5 ▪️ Transfer to a floured counter and divide into 16 equal pieces. Roll into a ball. Line an 8 inch pan with parchment paper. Place each rolled dough into the pan. Cover for 30 minutes or until doubled in size. Preheat oven for 15 minutes at 180ºC/350ºF.
6▪️ Bake for 18-20 minutes or until lightly golden.
7▪️Serve and enjoy!

YOU are my darling! I just finished baking this dough and I followed your clear, detailed instructions as well as leaving overnight in fridge. When I took it out this morning it was so dense and stiff I thought I had goofed somewhere in the process. I cut it into 3 pieces and let it rest. Then I made 2 braided loaves and 12 cinnamon rolls. That was at 8am, by 11 am these fat little beauties were doubled in size. In the oven they again rose and are eggwashed so are just beautiful. There is no other bread dough needed, EVER, people try this amazing dough, just have patience and do the recipe as described. Thank you 'my darling'.

@@LuhhKrawasxf It will be solid rock without yeast because theres no carbon dioxide build up for increasing dough size.

Hi, I have tried this recipe a couple of times and for some reason, my dough ends up really tacky and I’ve spent upto an hour kneading it with no results. However, the baked products have always been delicious! Could you please point out where I may have gone wrong with the dough? I’m in no means saying that this recipe is wrong and I would genuinely love your advice here.

I followed the measurements but the dough was so sticky on my hands. I kept kneeding but it was annoying and in the end I gave up and threw it in the foodprocessor. It was kneeded for at least another 20 minutes. It's now rising but I am dead tired and only hope I did not work my bum off for nothing. Its not easy to kneed a good dough. Hard labor lol.. I want to make cinnamon rolls for my children. Hopefully this time they wíll be fluffy. 🙄😔

Put flour on your hands and the counter or w.e you sitting the dough that will make it way easier to do

Use 230 ml of milk only...not 250 ml. Try it...

If it's humid in the least outside add 2 tbsp to 4 tablespoons extra flour

RIP OFF! IT WAS SO HARD TO GET IT TO THE “ELASTIC” TEXTURE. I WAS ALREADY DOING IT FOR 30 MINUTES AND IT DIDNT BECOME THAT TEXTURE. UGHHHH. AFTERWARDS I PUT IT IN THE OVEN AND IT WAS THERE FOR OVER 30 MINUTES, AND WHEN I THOUGHT IT WAS DONE AND CUT INTO IT, THERE WAS RAW DOUGH! I ALMOST FED THAT TO MY FAMILY.

Sounds like you're just a really bad cook.. 🤣 It might be your yeast. Make sure it's still active.

Tried making twisted donut out of this recipe and rolled it on cinnamon sugar and it's so good.
i made this twice and now my bread is soft not rock hard and the inside is soft not chewy! thank you dubei!
