♡ What's in this video:
Let’s go BTS of my online flower business and here’s how I prep flowers in an online florist shop. 🎉
I know I find it helpful to see how other florists do things, so I thought this might be fun if I showed you a little behind-the-scenes of a real online flower business and you can possess fresh flowers with me.
Our flowers are shipped in a box, so let’s unpack flowers from the wholesalers together and you can see how to unbox flowers with a real florist. In my opinion, the process of processing fresh flowers from the wholesaler is one of the more integral parts of the floral design process and working as a florist 2023.
This video shows a real florist day-in-the-life and gives you a glimpse of what it’s really like working as a florist vlog and a modern florist vlog 2023.
At the end of this video, I’ve also included a list of the flowers I prepared so you can also add them to your next flower wholesaler order.
Thank you so much for being here and supporting my channel. I’m so grateful!

Those double pink dianthus are gorgeous. They are all so pretty but those were just WOW! I think I will need to do some research to see if I can grow those here in N. Texas. I have had dianthus in my flower beds, but they are smallish landscape varieties. On the roses, do florists only want long stem roses, or is there a use for spray roses also? Just mapped out my rose garden today, but unsure about types. I think if I want to be able to produce true long stem roses, those will need to be grown under glass, but there so many beautiful varieties out there that are sprays, etc. not just the hybrid teas. I am starting with 10 as part of my test garden. Thank you for sharing the unboxing. I had no idea that was how they shipped flowers. I didn’t even know about dry-packing them until a few weeks ago. I don’t know how I thought it happened, but that sure wasn’t it (without water). Also I thought as the grower that I was supposed to strip the foliage, etc. Good to know not to do that to extend vase life.

For me, it has so much more to do with shelf life + colour than stem length - I'd say as long as the stem is 30cm in length, I'd be open to buying them if the quality is good and the colours are right for the job. 😊 I'm glad you enjoyed the video 🥳
