    Woke is about tags for people who have no freaking idea on how to have character and personality. It´s not easy to say "i´m a recovering alcoholic who turned his life around and is contributing art to the world", as that entails years of insight, hard work and recognizing your own failings. It is easy to say "I´m a bipoc polyamorous non binary apache helicopter" None of those things mean crap but suddenly you have "identity" and a bustling community ready to welcome you and ready to destroy the world alongside you. It is the extremist brain at its best. Can´t evolve? can´t create? can´t become something on my own? I´ll just take it, and play victim when I´m called out for it.

    Hero meets villain, villain gets the better of hero, hero goes on a journey, meets some friends, maybe falls in love, hero faces off against villain, villain gets defeated, hero prevails! Throw in a few jokes/comic relief characters. It’s literally that easy!!!

  • @Krunchtastic727

    It's not that easy. If you are making a story for women they have an aversion to seeing women struggle. It's also why the hallmark channel sucks. The only way you can depict the struggle of a hero is if it is male. Women can accept that, except that's patriarchy or something. So enter Mrs. Marvel and Rey.

    Blackwashing real characters is an absolute audacity and should be legit pointed out as rewriting history. Depictions of Cleopatra, Atilla, Isaac Newton, Anne Boleyn and many more for better ESG score should not be allowed. Making biopics about famous people is always terrible, they are always lies, simplifications and even when done very well, like in Lincoln, they leave out very important layers, like the fact Lincoln was an awful racist, just less racist than most at the time. so all depictions are terrible. People need to just understand that their "heroes" are fake characters in the first place, and a person with any basic historical backgrounds finds movie depictions of any single human as disgusting. Therefore they should have no problem with any other inaccuracies placed on a famous person, because the movie is itself fake. That is why they should be fantasy, or at best metaphor for a fake representation we have been sold of a famous persons life.

  • @codinghusky5196

    @codinghusky5196

    9 күн бұрын

    @@user-tp4ii6hs3l that's... childish. Look at this: "Lincoln was an awful racist, just less racist than most at the time". This is a reaction of a young child that just figured out what momma and dadda do when they say they're "wrestling" and thinks it's "icky". It's like "I had 5l of copium and I STILL can't deal with the fact people are HUMAN". While movies aren't meant to be taken as documentaries; they ARE meant to depict someone's life with a "best foot forward" mentality because this is HELPFUL to the society; this shows us what heroes are and teaches us - no, compels us - to possibly emulate this. Lincoln didn't have to abolish slavery, has that ever occurred to your childish mind? They could've done like the arabs did at the time; castrated the slaves to keep them docile and the population under control; and we could've had that society today. The ONLY reason we have a free society is because these "awfully racist" people decided slavery was wrong. Churchill, the awful rude narcissistic drunk, didn't HAVE to stand up to the 3rd Reich, he could've joined and we could've had the Third Reich now. Tesla, the introverted insaniac with debilitating OCD didn't HAVE to invent all of the awesome stuff that built our civilization, but he did. Einstein, the dude who married his own cousin, didn't HAVE to give us a revolution in physics, but he DID. You're not ENTITLED to heroes, you GOT them because they *wanted to make the world a better place*. Have you ever wondered what being a hero even means? It's not "being perfect, virtuous and godlike in every way", that what a little undeveloped baby would think. Being a hero means "going out of your way to do the right thing in spite the difficulties and your own flaws". Biopics are meant to inspire. And why is it necessary to be correct about the VERY PERSON? Because nations they belong to are inspired by that person and they DO NOT get to have that inspiration taken away. AMERICA abolished slavery first. AMERICA. Lincoln was a white American. You do not GET to depict him as a Japanese trans woman, because Japanese trans women don't GET to take that away from America. Just like Tesla was a Serbian man, and you do not GET TO take that away from Serbia by depicting him as a mongolian lesbian. Now, I understand it's very painful to hear this, especially if you're young. Today's young people can't suffer to be inspired, because they absolutely refuse to be exposed to any incentive to better themselves. They created a "fat acceptance" movement to not ever have to lose weight, they claim mental illness to not have to study, and percieving all the heroes as worthless scumm is a part of that. Because if Lincoln was an awful racist who did nothing worth any mention, and might as well be replaced by a Fillippino grandma, then you can feel great about doing nothing worth while yourself. We get it. We despise it, but we get it.

    His basic is argument is people love fresh, different, and original. He is right. But he ( intentionally ) left out the new IP. Things are, Disney aren't creating new IP. They're milking on established IPs, and that's bad, because ( I can also tell him the same way that I can represent "the people" as much as he claimed ) the people don't want fresh new classics. And not to mention no classics based movies can be considered as "original."

    One question for Ernest: how is a majority black cast diverse but a majority white cast isn't? Me thinks that's very racist. No one can have a real discussion with him- it's all race or s*x. Men admiring beautiful women is not mysogonist. It is indeed a culture war...and he seems quite happy to insult and attack people different from him. It's also extremely difficult to take an adult seriously who makes all those goofy faces when other people talk. Esther: they went beyond preaching to attacking their audience and targeting families and kids. I was a big Disney fan, I walked away and will not return to their products again. Plus, Black Panther recycled the plot from Lion King, it wasn't a flop because it had decent writing, they stole their writing from an already popular source. I'm so glad to be watching a video on this. I've noticed an alarming drop in quality in the Disney Star Wars content in the past 18-24 months, with increase in quantity of poor storytelling content. I thought I was in the minority in my observation, but now I see the numbers show it at the box office. It was upseting to me some 18 months ago, but now I don't care anymore, they should reap what they saw. It's sad because I was a big SW fan. I used to be a huge fan of Pixar. But now I don't know wtf, seriously. I think it was their GREED that killed their profit, it's that simple. They take a great premise, they create a great number of content from it, with very little proper research that quality content needs. But instead they focus on quantity and scale, adding in as much identity politics in like theyre adding chilli in a dish, thinking it will bring them profit, but it wont. Content can't ne just quick and shallow copy paste and tape it all together. PS: The comments about breasts were so gross and sexist. Yeah, let's objectify women and cheapen our entire point. smh

    Did this guy seriously call the black woman Candace Owen Jr? For someone who claims to care about diversity, he sure was willing to put black women in a box.

    Why is that surprising? Just think of all of the slurs that leftist blacks have for free thinking blacks who hold other positions.

    They're not about diversity. That's the problem, people keep thinking that woke is about diversity, it's not. It is a racist ideology hell Bent on destroying society. If they were really worried about diversity, they wouldn't have fired Gina carano, And isn't it funny that every diverse character is always woke, we have diverse characters that can be conservative too, but they never use those, they always use the far liberal lefts

    They don't care about diversity, they really don't. That's why Disney should get sued. If they actually cared about diversity, why is it always people who are woke are the ones representing diversity?
