@@bobtillman5769 uh yeah I do. It is published. Ace and Peter sold off their rights. They get NOTHING from the music and this deal. Peter sold his makeup persona, Ace licensed his "Spaceman" so he will see some money. Kiss corp has all these details published to universal, and pop just bought the artist share which is Gene and Paul's part.

Good for them...this is theirs to sell, they put in the work and paid their dues. and I suspect Ace and Peter will be very happy, Beth would certainly be included as would all of ACE's songs

David, they didnt sell the back catalog. Universal owns it. In fact back in 89 the publishing rights were sold . The intelectual property is the crux of this deal, logo, likeness

300 million for that bit of garbage that they say they wrote unbelievable what a joke I wouldn’t give them 300 pennies for their music

Some are saying they didnt sell their actual full catalog,but from what I read online they certainly did. plus theres no way someone would pay 300 million on the way to a billion and not get the whole catalog. theres just no way. people are talking about universal owning their stuff but from what I read thats not actually true,....Many seem to be conflating the sale of the publishing rights to HoriPro with the eventual acquisition of the record label by Universal. KISS has never sold anything to Universal. Universal is simply the successor in interest to the record labels KISS recorded for over the years and now owns the distribution rights to the recorded works, not including Sonic Boom, which the band independently released on KISS Records. Not sure how Sanctuary is involved here for Symphony Alive IV, but that album is now distributed by Universal, as well.

That would be a silly decision indeed, I'd guestimate $500,000 a year is earned in revenue from KISS' publishing/music, thats great profit to lose at spending at a dime matey :-)

300 mill isnt that much really between 5 or 6 ppl thats like 50 or 60 mill per person
