Excited to see this think move next season. I work in the solar industry, but aspire to open my own shop one day. With that being said, as an aspiring fabricator, I’d love to see you do some welding tech/education videos in the off season! I’d love to get some tips and tricks from a skilled welding vet like yourself. Might not be the most exciting for some I guess. But I’m sure the real car guys would appreciate

Meticulous Metigulous pays off in the end! Maybe do a compression test to see if that happened on any other pistons. Hopefully that issue has not replicated in any of the other cylinders.

You unlocked a new secrete. If there was a gnarly vacuum turbine on the block you could blow more air through the thing with the gap. Itll be more like a jet engine with your massive turbo.

Damn Hayden, I can't believe this thing made 990 whp on a piston with cracked ringlands! You definitely lucked out that it didn't warp or score the cylinder wall. I would've figured that you would've had to re-sleeve that engine.

So I am building a 62 Falcon with a single turbo LS. I was thinking of going motor plates instead of solid motor mounts. If you go motor plates, how did you match the thickness of the motor plate and move the balancer out to keep the belt aligned? Awesome build and awesome car!!!!

The more oil you run the worse it is for the windage, it hurts power big time. Just call Moroso and get one of their pans. My buddies work there, they sell the cheap China pans but with their own pickups, and they make really good fabricated pans with full baffles. Watch the engine masters episode about oil control, they picked up big power just by switching to a Moroso pan, plus better oil control
