I have a 2018 ram.1500 and same things is starting to occur on mine. Panels on Rams are not sealing anything as so many gaps between panel and wheel arch. From factory there were panel tabs missing at top or not out by design and that's where rust starts.

An issue I heard about with the dodge drainage is that it's to small and doesn't let the junk out like bits of leaves and stuff letting it rot the steal. I'm attempting to make a large drainage port 1/2 inch by 4 inches to try and fix the rot issue. Probably just passing ING the wind

Every truck brand seems the same. I have never seen an older truck that doesn't have rusty rear fenders

Hey great video man and very informative. I am new truck owner just got a 2017 Dodge Ram. I noticed under the vehicle there is some light rust starting to form on the axle and things like that. Any suggestions?

Thanks for watching. Unfortunately, the rust on the axles, frame and control arms under the truck, is going to be a part of life. If you get all the flaky loose bits off and use a good oxide primer and then a rubberized top coat, it will keep it nicer longer, but unless you are under there every month, it's a war you are gonna loose. I would just concentrate on the parts you can see from standing back.

This rust will return and be even worse as it can do its dirty job now under the raisin and fiberglass. The only way to cure it properly: Cut it out and weld it in new. Then flood the cavities with fat and close the holes in the inner fender with rubber plugs. All else is just temporary.

Good thing I called it a quick repair so it doesn't get worse. But you're right. Been almost 2 years and I think I can see a little bubble starting at one of the corners again.
