Thank you, James! This is just what I needed to know. You are a great teacher!
Thank you so much James 😊 my toilet has finally stopped trickling and its all thanks to you👍👍👍 subscribed
Love the video. I'm an odd job man, (not a plumber or electrician) and get asked to fix loads of things around offices and I'm expected to be able to fix everything. You saved me a load of headaches to simply fix this toilet and they think I'm a magician! I wish all the 'fix it' videos were so to the point, I just want a fast honest clear explanation so I can get on, do the job and get onto fixing the next thing. I fixed my own toilet in 30 seconds which has been running for 2 or 3 years because I was too busy and it looked too complicated for me to bother with until I was forced to research how to fix one for a client!! Many thanks.
Brilliant thank mate your always straight to the point with the simple troubleshooting first. Thanks so much.
Thanks for this! I have watched several videos about over-filling loos tonight, and so far yours was the only one to suggest tightening the valve under the loo which appears to have done the trick! I must have unknowingly loosened it when I recently did some deep cleaning round the back of the loo! Also, thanks for having such a straightforward, fluent and clear video to watch. There are so many out there done with wonky phones or cameras, it drives me nuts trying to get any info out of them when I'm already pissed off and frustrated by something thats broken.
Hi James, Brilliant clear demonstration of how to fix trickling after flush. Keep it real!
Brilliant! Thanks for taking the time to post this!
Great explanation and helped me solve my never ending dual flush trickle. Reversed the seal and applied a little Vaseline, adjusted the float and stopped back the isolator valve a bit.
Very good video. Very helpful. Thank you
Excellent vid mate. No BS and presented like a pro with lots of energy. Wish all youtube vids were like this.

Great tip about simply reducing the water inlet pressure a touch. Worked a treat for me! Cheers!
Great video thanks. Your first tip worked for me. Our flush was running for about 10 mins after pressing. I tighten the valve slightly and this seems to have solved it. The cistern takes approximately 20 seconds longer to fill but it's far better than the flush continuing 10 minutes later!
Bradley Cooper. Truly a multi talented individual
So useful. Thank you for these videos, I'm just starting to get myself trained and these give some much needed context I can refer my learning to
Right on man, keep it up! Fun to watch, informative and clear
Really helpful. Covered all the possible reasons for the constant flow - including and it was a piece of lime grout beneath the seal
Brilliant thanks for your straight to the point videos hitting the simpler troubleshooting steps first.

Yay! 😎
Thank you....very well explained
You ROCK! Simple fix! Thanks for the walk-through!
Fixed my toilet! Thank you so much. My springy outlet hole valve thingy wasn't springy, so I added a DIY spring to make it shut after flushing. Your video explained how it worked, so this helped me bodge it.
Awesome James - with the help of your fab video I’ve just fixed my running toilet...THANK YOU!!👍😊🙃
Fantastic video mate, very clear and easy to understand, saved me from calling out a plumber during the festive month have a wonderful Christmas and New year mate.
Thanks plumberparts! Problem was exactly as you outlined. Bit of plastic from those toilet blue got jammed in the plunger seal. Cleared that and presto, problem solved. Though the connecting steel hose from the mains to the cistern also decided to give way at the same time. Had to change that as well. So aside from a strained back from all the bending over, everything is good. Thanks again!
Thanks for your all your tips
Job done. Slight nick on rubber would have never found this out without this tutorial. Great job saved me a ton of work (been driving us mad for weeks)
Thanks. Worked well...
Good tips, love the energy, good lad, its simple but mostly people dont even think to fix whats there, they just replace and pay more than required, experience and knowledge are valued, many thanks 🎉👍👍
Wow!! thanks for the tip about reducing inlet water pressure. Solved the problem . Thank you!!!
Absolutely brilliant mate. Thank you.
Amazing. I grabbed a screwdriver, followed the instructions and hey presto, problem solved. Thank you so much!
All sorted, thanks for advice
After 2 weeks of toilet running all day and night I watched this and fixed it in seconds🤦🤦 thanks for a great video. Well explained and easy to follow 👍
You nailed it thanks really helpful!
Thank you. Your advice to half close the valve worked perfectly. Stress over. What a great video
Thanks very much for that.! Looked at a few videos before yours and not one mentioned tightening part behind the toilet. Thanks again 👍
Thank you so much!! Saved me calling plumber out 👍👍👍
Brilliant. 2second fix and full bragging rights, thank you.
Awesome. Bit of cistern block got stuck in the plunger. Fixed in seconds thanks to you. Cheers.
Worthy sub, absolutely solved my problem, I’m by no means a handyman and would never have thought of checking the washer, nice one fella, very appreciated

Thank you so much. I watched your video and with a simple tweak I fixed the problem. An invaluable KZread if you're somebody like me who hasn't a clue about DIY or plumbing.
mate your a legend .useful info saved me about three hours work .thanks mate
I never thought I could enjoy a video teaching plumbing so much that after I identified the problem, fixed my flusher (thanks to you), I came back and watched the rest of the video simply to watch it and learn more. If there was ever a sign of extraordinary teaching abilities, that would be it.

Thanks for the tip!
Many thanks for this video. Out loo started doing this and I've fixed it for zero cost.
Thanks for the tip, I reduced the filling rate and it worked.👍
Thanks mate. Took out WC while renovating house. Water running straight into pan , cistern not filling. Took your tip about washer not seating. Noticed the washer was curling upwards slightly. Took it off turned it upside down. Mow curling slightly downward. Fully sealing . Thanks mate. Really helpful. 👍👍👍👍
Just had it happen to me followed your advice and fixed it, thanks so much mate great video so helpful

Thank you so much you are a life saver :) you are a great human being!
James, thanks for the advice on the video. Nice style and presentation (like the ronsil ads of old). Managed to stop my toliet trickling too. As you said, check the water pipe serving the cyctern and adjusted it. 6 flushes later and still good. phew!
Just had this happen to me for the first time and i called the first plumber i found, he told me i had to replace my entire toilet! i said he was having a laugh! Thank god i found your video, only had something stuck under the rim. cheers mate!
Great job sir keep it welldone said..👍
Thank you
That first tip nipped it right in the bud! Thanks so much for the no fluff video. That running noise was doing my head right in! ;)
really helpful stuff - fixed my problem after watching just 4 minutes (removed some grit)! THANKS
very useful thanks
Excellent video, solved my problem in 20 mins by simply cleaning a tiny bit of scale from the rubber at the base of the large tube that should normally seal - it was hard to twist off the tube in the first place and the plastic seems so brittle it seems likely to break forcing it off when twisting the tube anti-clockwise - maybe I was using the wrong technique getting the tube off to get to the seal attached to the bottom of the tube to clean it.
Brilliant! The lid had come off the flusher and was blocking the valve coming down - thanks so much.
Very nice 👍🏼 information
Thanks for sharing! This helped us to sort this problem in seconds - cheers!

Good video. I replaced the full flush and still had the same problem then worked out the water was escaping UNDER the flush system. I hadn't tightened the big plastic nut underneath the cistern tight enough. Once I did this it's perfect. Still like the video and the way you've explained all the components - and love your little test system in the shed!
Fantastic! solved my plumbing problem in less than 2 mins. Very much appreciated 😊

thanks James! a slight turn away from fully open with the screwdriver and its sorted!! thank you!!!!!
Top man!!! Thanks mate 🙏👍
Good advice. Nice one.
Thanks mate , worked a treat by turning the water off half way to allow it to fill up 👍🏻
Seven years later ! Thanks for your great advice , managed to fix my loo today . I am a very happy bunny !
Great information. Another idea if you don't want to take it all apart first . I got a paint brush and ran it around the base of the unit pressing the flush constantly(low level water still in the unit). This action dislodged the muck from the seal area. Now fully working again. Thank you for the help and information.
Good explanation - well presented!
