Thank you for this, friend. For anyone else in a similar situation, my pc, only 3 months old, had a crash and then went into an inescapable boot menu. Powering off and on again produced no video out of any of the gpu ports across multiple monitors/tvs. Disconnecting and cleaning the RAM got things back to normal. Just pay attention to the orientation of your RAM sticks, ha!

I struggled with this issue for several days trying different solutions. Almost gave up and sent it for fixing. This video saved me and my money. Who knew it would be this easy. For anyone who is as skeptical as I was TRY THIS before anything else. Don't be like me...

Bro, I even bought a new RAM but still the same old issue persists. Sometimes it turns on, sometimes it doesn't.

I just want to say I thought it was a bigger problem but THIS IS THE SOLUTION lmao. It totally worked and saved me hundreds of dollars of trying to find out the problem and maybe buying new parts. My computer was lagging occationally and then blue screen. With going on to Chrome and watching KZread the quickest to crash. And it got worse and the screen wont even turn on one day. After some tests I feel like it's either the GPU or Memory. Then after trying this method by just cleaning it. You'd think oh the RAM doesn't look dirty it doesn't need cleaning, IT DOES. All lkinds of black stuff I rubbed off with an eraser and IT HAS NOT CRASHED EVER SINCE. Thank you so much.

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was cleaning my pc and suddenly it stopped working lol, like it booted up but no display, even the keyboard didn't turn on, i removed the ram and cleaned it with a cloth and now its working again! Thanks dude!

So this didn’t work with my ram but my graphics card!! This is an amazing idea and once I did it to the graphics card and got all the dirt and stuff off of it. It’s been working wonderfully

Yoooo, I had the same issue! The fix didn't work on my ram but worked on my graphics card, had to clean the card itself and the riser it was on, but it worked!

my gpu was the problem and so I cleaned it just like your ram sticks but with rubbing alcohol instead. can't believe that worked. thank you so much for saving me a headache!

Bc sometimes ram contain carbon on its pin to remove it he use eraser bc it doesn't harm the pins

I was incredibly sceptical, I didnt believe that you could just rub the RAM pins with some rubber and have it spontaneously work. Before using the rubber method I switched my gpu with a spare, didn't work. I took out my ram and resat them in correct positions, didn't work. I changed the HDMI cable in case there was a fault with that or the monitor, didn't work. I took out the motherboard CMOS battery and let the BIOS reset, still no display, didn't work. Suddenly i come across this video, take the end of my toothbrush (didn't have an eraser) and rubbed the RAM pins. It worked, it booted up instantly. Thank you kindly.

What should i do if my monitor didn't open. It has color indicator red light when it is off and has blue light when it is on, but now it does not shows the blue light indicator even if it is on. All my cpu units, keyboard and mouse are perfectly fine, also the capslock and numlock is working, but still has blackscreen. How to fix it, TIA.

I'm wondering if I should do this for my sister's computer. Her's was kinda of unique problem. If you press the power button on the PC on it will power and but will not boot. One day I gave up fixing it (CMOS, replacing monitor, changing/reseating RAM slots heck I even reseated the CPU) but when she tried booting it the next day, it booted up and used it for a few hours then same problem again. It's like it boots up just a few hours a day for some reason. Could this fix it? :O

I tried doing that and it didn’t work for me… like my computer has been working completely fine and it’s brand new and last night trying to wake it up from sleep mode it wasn’t working to I restarted my computer and the pc turns on but the monitor doesn’t and my mouse won’t connect but the keyboard does

@@dontworry5149 You probably did it but make sure that every cable is plugged in properly. Take everything out and replug it. If it doesn't work make sure the monitor is displaying the right channel (e.g HDMI 1 and not 2 if your cable is plugged on HDMI1). Basically try to eliminate as many probable cause as possible. Are the GPU and CPU fans working when you turn on the PC?
