What a legend. 6y old video and still saved me from a huge headache as i am using my current pc on an island with no repair shops. To repair it i need to ship it all the way home. Unplugging/replugging the battery solved it. Thank you Sir. Hope you are doing well with your life.

KeLe Worked for me thanks. I put it in the wrong ram slot and didn’t start up at all and put the ram in the original slot and my pc start up like normal.

Awesome....replacing the CMOS battery did it for me. Had taken it to a repair centre and was told the motherboard needs replacement. Came across this video right on time. You're a lifesaver, moneysaver, possibly also a marriage saver :)) Kudos

@@jaspersonhelnvillegas8165 I ordered a new CMOS battery but I'm not convinced it will work because I litteraly tested both my PSU they both fine and I removed the ram and the CMOS battery and got the same beeps after booting it up it was 2 together and one alone 2 kinda quick and 1 longer

@@ichaboi6643 there is a switch on the side of your battery, if nothing is blocking your hands or fingers from reaching it you should be able to push it very easy, but if there is something thats blocking your view then you'll need something to push the switcj

Your video helped me get my pc working after replacing the PS. It had the exact problem in this video. I applied the exact same fix, moving the 1 of the RAM sticks to another slot. It came on as before the PS swap. Thank you!

To all of you who suggested re-seating the RAM...thank you, it worked for me. Spent 3 days trying to diagnose and almost ordered a new 1000w PSU! Also make sure your graphics card snap-locks into its socket. If it doesn't make a snap sound it probably isn't seated properly and the pc will not boot or windows may suddenly restart

the affore mentioned brown can also cause static to build up in the PCI slot so removing and reseating the GPU can also help solve many problems.

For all people who have never installed RAM into their PC before, make sure that the RAM was installed correctly. do not be afraid to give it a hard push. Once the latch snaps onto the RAM, you know it is correctly installed. do not snap the latch yourself

You are an absolute life saver man, almost had to go out and buy a new mobo., turns out 2 out of 4 of my ram slots must've been dead, put my ram into different slots and the pc works like a charm.

This actually worked. I took the battery out for 1 minute, took out all the ram and put it back in, and it worked!

Thanks soooo much for this. Changing the ram slots fixed mine and the ram had a bit of dust on it, don't know if that can hurt.

I've watched these Help videos since nearly KZread started and none has ever worked for me.....however I ended my 14 year streak today and it worked for me. I tried switching Ram and even buying new Ram ($170) and this worked for free lol.

Hello sir my CPU Dell turn on and for sometimes turned off it self while it blinking orange light color

Just an additional precaution for handling your memory module chip is to hold the modules by the edges only not to hold it by the conductive area.

Thank you soo much man. I had the same problem. PC starts and then turns off after 1 sec. Took out the cmos battery took and out the RAM, waited for a minutes... put the battery back in and the RAM into a different slot and vuola... 😊 👌🏽 It worked.

Thanks man. My mistake was actually not keeping the cmos out for long enough for the bios to reset. I did not realise one has to keep it out for 30sec

Jan's Mind same thing happened to me yesterday I tried a new psu and that wasn't the problem it is most likely the CPU or motherboard. I am getting a new motherboard today hopefully it is not the CPU

Thank you so much for your suggestions. It works like a charm. My Dell desktop kept shutting down after restarting no matter rebooting from hard drive or USB stick. After cleaning up all memory modules and replacing CMOS battery, my desktop finally stop shutting down and windows 10 can run properly after rebuilding bcd.
