Ya it was very cringey for me cutting this especially considering it was probably one of the cleanest shells I’ve encountered. The bright side though is he is actually going to use it for rally. So its for a good cause in the end

This Looks amazing. I’d love to do the WRC kit to my GD but it’s too clean. Can’t wait to see how this turns out

Hey I have a quick question. first off awesome to see this kit and nice job pointing out the good and bad on the kit. When it comes to the actual body of these rusty old subies. Once you cut and weld new metal in or grind off rust. What product do you find most effective at preventing the rust from coming back? Im working on my 02 wrx and have watched a million rust converter videos etc and was more curious to what you guys see work best from you experience for paint, primer and under coat etc LOVE THE CHANNEL!!!!!!

Thanks buddy! Most effective coating after rust repair or grinding off rust is a 2 part epoxy primer. We use CRE by PPG, it can actually be painted on with a brush or roller and comes in black, white and grey. Love this stuff

Damn, that’s going to be quite the build when complete. What’s the over/under on the number of total hours? 😀

Good question, i feel collectively between all shops and each of their time they’ll spend doing each aspect, body, cage, motor. Im guessing 500hrs overall
