Greg Koch is an American guitarist from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Koch grew up in the Milwaukee area and began playing guitar at the age of 12. He was influenced by the guitarist and singer-songwriter Jimi Hendrix. In April 2012 Fender Musical Instruments Corporation named Koch one of the top 10 unsung guitarists. When Koch is asked about his abilities on guitar he says that it is all hard work and practice. Koch claims to have no hobbies, and he has said that he only plays guitar and procreates.

Update: I was not disappointed. More like, smiling from ear to ear for 15 minutes and 14 seconds. That was a clinic from two masters. So inspiring! That kinda playing makes me wanna practice.

I always forget just how proficient Greg is and then he sits down with someone as talented as Nathaniel and even Nathaniel is in awe a bit. What he can pull of on 6 strings is amazing. Let's get Julian Lage, Nathaniel and Greg all together for an afternoon.

Haha imagine being a huge greg koch fan. Then jamming with him. Then he just starts being himself with his hilarity incarnate excessive buffoonery. It’d be terrific. Completely would deflate the awkwardness. If you’re talking shop too he is probably the best at that. And of course he’s probably the best at just noodling around and sounding interesting. Probably the best bluesman out there right now. Also notice how little the presenter speaks. He’s definitely a fan. Or just really respects the gristlemaster.
