Was great hearing you learnt so much from the guitar magazines in the 90’s. I used to love seeing what was on the cd’s each month! I lived in didsbury for years, Manchester should be adding you to the born and bred guitar legend list mate

One of the first videos I saw of him (I don't remember which one but obviously it was brilliant), just before he turns off the camera he wiggles his hand like saying "I'm sorry I can't do any better, this will have to do, I tried".
I've just watched Nathaniel on Rhett Shulls channel playing the B Bender Dove acoustic. What a player. What a humble guy.

If it’s him playing Kashmir mate I’ve seen it…it was that good I did consider throwing my guitar in the bin. Best thing I’ve ever seen (along with Pete Townsend doing Magic Bus on Jools Holland…check that s**trout dude it’s amazing)

Bonamassa invited him to play with him on his gig in Chicago when they crossed ways in CME. That tells a lot, for sure
Nathaniel taught me how to play many years ago in Manchester. It's safe to say the pupil has not surpassed the master!
I'm here in April 2024 having just watched Rick Beato's interview with Nathaniel!
You know a guitar player is good when he plays music you don’t normally listen to and the sheer skill involved just grabs your attention.
He was my old guitar teacher before he moved to the US, awesome guitarist

Nathaniel is an incredible inspiration. I have never had a guitar teacher,.. self taught except for a few teachers online, Truefire,.. things like that, but I would absolutely freak out if I could be one of his students.
Queen sent him into beast mode!!!
You cannot really help but smile at Nathaniel and his guitar playing. Deserves every success
Nathaniel is an amazing musician and person! Kudos for having him on the show!
I'm on a Nathaniel Murphy KZread tour after seeing him in Rick Beato's recent "Kashmir" video. I may be gone for quite some time! 👏👏👏
It’s that awesome guitarist off of Instagram, and he’s in my local guitar shop. The captains face while Nathaniel was playing out sums up how most of us feel.
Nataniel is really brilliant. I am such a fan.
So lovely to see you on here mate. Thoroughly enjoyed the interview. Phenomenal player and a lovely guy. ❤️
My days this man is something else. That Beatles bit is so nice, crazy little thing is awesome. I love this man. How humble too.
Credit to the captain for providing a platform for up and coming greats. Also credit to the current greats who show up as well.
So glad you’ve finally had him in the chair, incredible guitarist.
Great to see Nathaniel on here! Incredible ability and so modest. I can't be the only one who loves how he plays all the parts classic songs like 'Crazy Little Thing' flawlessly, blows everyone's minds and then casually stops as if it was nothing. Thanks for making this! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Easily one of the most insanely talented guitar players that every lived !!!…. Period .

Great interview very entertaining 👏👏👏👏 Nathaniel's unique style of guitar playing sounds so good 👍👍 I know this video is two years old, don't mind me I'm a little late to the show😝🤙
Best chat ever this guy has more talent than most and without ego. Well done showcasing his amazing musicianship. Tell him to do TPS!
Him and Michael Lemo are so cool, those guitar shops are very lucky to have these guys.
One of the most unique and technical player I’ve seen. Just an awesome player. Love the way he plays 100%
What a Legend. I was so happy when you posted that you were doing a video with Nathaniel. Its mind boggling to watch him play like that. So inspiring...

Amazing. My family are from Erris (Black Sod) so I love the Bar na Tra reference.
I agree with pretty much everyone, Nate's talent is mind boggling! But I must say that I think that he and Les Paul would have been a great matchup and would have been a blast to watch them together. Amazing!
Nathaniel is a super, super guy, as well as an amazing guitar player. Love his videos for CME.
This is 1,000x over the best tone you’ve ever had, Lee- whatever you’re doing here, do more of it!!!

What an amazing player. He comes across as being a wonderful guy as well.
I love it when great players are so humble.
Never heard of Nathaniel until this. WOW what a talented guy, brilliant.
That snappy part of CLTCL had me grinning like a damn fool😅 Cheers guys!
I love hearing people's stories about their first guitar. I was blessed to have a guitar-playing dad who knew what good gear was. He bought me my first guitar and amp in 1973 - a 1961 Fender Duo Sonic (still have it) and a 1960 Fender Princeton (sadly, don't have it anymore).
I JUST discovered his amazing take on Ramble On today and here he is with the Captain 🤘
Well that was 32 minutes well spent. Great program, thank you Nathaniel that was a treat, thank you Lee top job 👍
He's one of the most humble musicians and also one of the most talented. That is insane. Love it
Great to see you both finally meet and learn a bit more about “Mr. Barnatra’s” background.
I've seen many You Tube videos. Seems like a good guy, great guitarist and fun friend. Always a pleasure to watch, listen and get a free lesson. Thanks
Murphy is exactly what I am “on the guitar”, as per learning others music. I never had a BIG yearning to write my own although I have along w/instrumentals but I get it!
So glad you made this video Lee and didn’t let the opportunity pass! Really enjoyed it, been watching Nathaniel on Insta for a while. Great to see he is actually a mortal like the rest of us, just way more talented!
Only just heard of this guy. The most inspiring player I’ve heard in ages. His feeling comes out so full on it sends the hairs on the back of my neck standing up.
What a fantactic humble symphatic musician, thank you for having him at your show! Thanks a lot, I enjoyed watching this video!
My favourite guitar player! Got me back to this channel after a long time, great to see the content quality, right back into healthily obsessing about guitars I guess!
This guys is really special ❤
First time I'd heard your voice... Totally thought you were American until today 🤣 Your guitar playing is phenomenal and so unique. Always love hearing you play
How could I have missed this video?! Love the casual conversation and guitar style. Nathaniel, such a cool guy
Fantastic! Very cool seeing you two jam together, Captain Lee! Been following Nathaniel for quite awhile. He ROCKS the CME Band, they are just PHENOMENAL! CME is the closest we have to ANDERTON’S! ⭐️⭐️🎸⭐️⭐️
Nathaniel Murphy is a fabulous musician. It's so awesome (and very cool) that you had him on here.
So awesome you had Nathaniel on! He is absolutely incredible! Very cool to see that such an awesome musician is also a nice humble guy too :-) Great video!
Nathaniel's the Man. Manchester's loss, Chicago's gain......
This was awesome. Love that today there are more ways than ever for talented guitarists to find an audience and share their stories. So inspiring and communal. Wish you the best of luck in 2022 on the band front Nathaniel! I’ve been a long time follower and used to live by CME. Great group of folks there. Can’t wait to get back this spring when Ariel Posen plays in Chicago.
He's the best! great catch getting him on the channel
absolute monster player. love he’s channeling guthrie and joe pass. i have that old tuck andress record. dude makes me wanna play my guitar and buy whatever one hes playing. said same on cme site. they’re lucky to have him funny enuff id just spent the day working on Travis picking then turned on youtube and here’s Nathaniel talking to the capn
This guy doesn’t have a “real job”. It’s all fun and game and doing what you’re passionate about and really enjoy. I’m super envious.
Nathaniel MURPY is the MAN!!!!!! I’m hooked on him so bad after the “Kashmir”, bit that I’m still in awe of him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME & TALENTED MAN!!!❤
HENDRIX. PAGE. MURPHY. GUY IS JUST MAGNIFICENT.
I've been waiting for this episode for years!!!
Mr Murphy is such a master! thank you for sharing this moment with us
Awesome! What a nice surprise! Love Nathaniel's playing - so amazing and inspiring. Cheers
Guitar stores are home to many an unsung hero among there staff and incredibly gifted people who will never be famous I know a couple of guys personally in Birmingham ,Gary Morris at fair Deal was utterly brilliant guitar player when I first met him in his twenties and could literally bring the shop to a standstill every time he picked up a guitar I learned a lot from him !!
What an incredible player! Crazy! Been following Nathaniel for a while but this was a great talk! Thanks Andertons!
This just made my week!!! What an insane talent, thank you for doing this interview...oh my god, I have just thrown away my guitar :D
His IG videos are pure gold! This guy is fantastic!
Mind blowing playing, Nathaniel is indeed a musical genius
This was BEYOND a treat!!! WOW!!! Nathaniel Murphy and The Captain. Nathaniel is such a talented yet humble guy. He’s always be so impressive on the CME videos but this video gave a new insight to this incredible musician, The ONLY thing I wished had happen was a three way jam session with The Captain, Nathaniel Murphy and Danish Pete. I do hope you made one and are just getting it ready to post. I so love these Anderton’s videos. I wish Anderton’s was my local music shop. Instead I’m stuck a few blocks away from Guitar Center in Hollywood, Ca.
Great interview with a towering guitar talent. Thanks Captain for continually stuffing my brain with such great videos, info, and most of all...world class players.
Great video. Love Nathaniel's playing and what a lovely bloke too
Whoa, Captain, that Tele is extremely classy mate. I love the work you all do at Andertons. You should be proud of the “buzz’ and quality you have created on KZread. Thanks for the time and effort.
You have inspired me to keep going , not just because some one told me I have to play other artists music but to play my own stuff in the way I like it Thank you 🤘🏻
Nathaniel is my absolute guitar hero. Discovered him about a year ago and have been RE watching all of his stuff ever since. Crazy little thing called love is an insane arrangement. Probably watched it 20 times now. I can’t imagine the amount of work and practice involved in honing your craft to this level. Can’t wait to see what he does next !!!
Thankyou so much Nathaniel Murphy champion. Cheers
Only came across him recently - what a brilliant player! 🤟🏼
I cant tell you how long ive been waiting for this.
Nathaniel plays guitar better with 1 hand than I can 2 hands!
Nathaniel is just on a whole different level. Great stuff 🤘🏻✊🏻✌🏻
Another cool vid from the captain! Tommy Emmanuel needs to do a tour with Nathaniel! It's inevitable...
Been waiting for this!
Beautiful snippet of “In my life.” Nice video and interview. Keep them coming. 👍
Brilliant guys! #AndersonTV kicking into overdrive in 2022 what a hero @zeppelinbarnatra is! #turnyourSoundonHigh
Hi, I didn't knew anything about Nathaniel, but I deeply respect and admire, when a talented musician and person, is so humble, simple and modest, and as a bonus, still with a simple rig, he is and outstanding, innovative player. Thank you very much indeed, glad to meet him. Take care.
Thank you captain, thank you Nathaniel!!! Another great show! I had to laugh amid to night loudly, such a great play telling us he might mess up the song. I laughed tears, I was so touched. This very day, started so badly, now I very happy, just thanx! All the best
Ok... this is me showing my appreciation. I have just discovered Nathaniel Murphy and am knocked out by his ability, musicality and tastefulness. And Mr. Lee, you're certainly no slouch when it comes to playing guitar! I've been very impressed with many of you younger cats that are making names for yourselves these days (and I say that as an elderly gent who is still fortunate enough to get on stage and spank the plank on a regular basis). The guitar world is certainly still very much alive.
Amazing style and talent 👏, Bravo !
Nathaniel is one awesome musician! Very enjoyable video!
Crazy little thing called love was mind blowing.
What an incredibly gifted man.....outstanding.
Mr. Zeppelin Barnatra I have become a fan over the past while. Surprised that I missed this video on Andertons for a year. Captain looks starstruck - love the realness of it. Billy Strings up next...?
I bloody love this guy.
high level playing and what a nice guy , no nonsense and feet on the floor. Like it!!!👍👍👍👍👍
Great guy, great player, “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” version……..mind blown, fantastic!👏👏👏
Really impressive player. A top guy too. Awesome in the truest sense.
So down to earth.Great work!👍💚
What an amazing player and a great interview. I could never hope to be any where near Nathaniel but I love the fact that it inspires me, and hopefully others, to experiment and try new techniques. Lee's face at the end was a picture......then I realised that I was pulling the same face! In the words of Shakin' Stevens, Lovely stuff!
Thank you, Awesome show
Great player and video, thank you!
Love him!
Awesome guy, awesome guitarist. Thanks
Comin’ up in the 70’-80’s I was a major Hard/Metal Rock guy & thoroughly despised Nirvana, etc., but then got into STP, Alice in Chains & Soundgarden & I was finally won over. However, as the 90’s rolled on I heard a couple bands like Big Wreck & Nickleback & I was HOOKED! I’ve went on to FFDP, Ghost & Disturbed (not that I like everything they do, but they have their place). I’ve seen Motely Crue, Ozzy & Zak, Tesla, Posion, Def Leppard & went on to see Nickleback, Alice In Chains, Puddle of Mudd, 3 Doors Down, etc. Like mentioned previous Bettencourt, Satriani, Maumstein, Lynch & they were “God’s”, to me back then, but hearing this younger guy Nathaniel Murphy makes me realize Rock both Hard & Metal are safe! Great stuff guys!!!! Love it!!!
Wow, such a great person and guitar player. So amazing you could sit down and do a video together!
