As a blues musician for the past 40 odd years, I salute this beautiful young lady. She exceptionally talented when one considers that she is just 17 years old. So to those people who are negative and downright rude, stop with the jealousy. Give her the credit she deserves because I seriously doubt that most 17 years old's have got over picking their noses, let alone being able to play a guitar at the incredibly high standard she does. Get over yourselves.

"...metaphorically speaking" is not the best term to use, *_but,_* while it still smells like clickbait, it's meant to be interpreted as 'poetic license'. It just means this chick has some excellent feel and admirable ability that you wouldn't expect from someone her age, or from a girl, if you want to be regarded as a chauvinist. If you thought you'd see her and John Mayer in a chops throwdown, you were silly. From Merriam-Webster, ":deviation from fact, form, or rule by an artist or writer for the sake of the effect gained - poetic license"

@@c3N3q I think, most of the popular music is limited to 4/4 and there is 6/8 in many blues tunes. Also, melody wise, there are great guitarists in this young lady's genre but most of them are limited in that Nashville etc areas. Good and enough to entertain the audience though. I can enjoy a Bonamassa, but a Josh Smith or a Scott Henderson are my favs in this music.

So John Mayer needs a better promotion team? Is that the story? I'm seeing a whole lot of promotion and some C+ and B level performances.Less promotion, more playing and practice. ASTERISM - Church ( watch the Live in Studio version) Hal-Ca wrote when she was 14. That is showing how it is done. There is hundred other young bands that good. Just not so much in the US. Grace could be great, right now she is promising. Don't ruin her with this overhyping.

She’s good but Nashville has dozens of guitarists that are just as good or better. She’s getting attention because of her gender. Don’t get me wrong, I think she is super talented and I hope she makes it but there are so many dudes in Nashville that surpass her and they get overlooked for some reason. She had someone helping her to get to the right places and meet the right people. It’s great that she has a manager or whatever that knows the landscape and is putting her in the right places to succeed. Comparing her to SRV and others is just silly. Just my unimportant opinion that makes no difference whatsoever. I am glad there are young people that want to carry on the music, whether it be country, rock or blues.
