The sad thing about this is that I am 54, played guitar since I was 15, been "lazy" about getting distracted about video games and other things--and could never play like this little guitar monster in my almost 40 years of playing. She is GREAT and obviously exceptionally gifted. (I love her vibrato!!)

I remember watching her go live on Reddit, during the time that she spoke of, when shelter in place is implemented. She used to sit on the roof of her house and just jam on an acoustic, it was amazing she had to have been 13 or 14 at the time. She is a natural, this young lady has had it in her for quite some time, it's cool to see her flourish into her own right, in the professional music scene. She deserves every bit of recognition & success coming her way, phenomenal gifted musician.

Gary, I've prayed that similar prayer over so many young guitarists, begging God to keep them safe as they navigate their way through the mire that is the music industry. I've had nothing but bad luck myself and when I see fresh young people coming up, and the same unmitigated bastards who ruined my career over and over, lining up to ruin them, it truly breaks my heart! Try and tell 'em though, and most of the time they just can't believe that I'm telling them the truth.

Years ago, l was so excited to discover Grace and her talent. Now after years of grooming by her production team, l don’t know who she is musically. And l’ve seen every interview. I don’t know if she is a great improviser, session player, songwriter, received any formal music education, produced music for artists, performed on recordings for artists, played in music festivals, produced her own videos, gone on a live tour, signed a recording deal, or really been exposed to the public for scrutiny. But I have been told by every interviewer that she is a wonderful person and has individual characteristics that make her unique and amazingly special. And it’s been years of this. As someone who believes in her, l am beaten to death by the People magazine aspects of her life and need to be satisfied musically by her playing achievements. And years later l’m still waiting because of only two reasons- her production team doesn’t want that or she isn’t capable of that. Time to cut the bullshit.

I'm glad someone said this also People act like I'm a hater when I say it. Or I'm sexist, and outright shut down when I point out the obvious.Undeniably talented, but I also feel like we are getting a created and groomed scenario. I hope it's because she's young that it feels so vapid, but I'm afraid the last few years have not evolved forward. It just feels off. But I'm still rooting for her fully.

Exactly....I have been watching her videos, and can't believe the crazy hype. She is not evolving as a guitar player, she is regurgitating the same handful of licks, and goofy noodling she been doing since she started. She never floors me with some incredible solo. I am always left wanting something amazing, but I am continually disappointed. This is what I refer to as the "Taylor Swift" Syndrome. They find a pretty girl that can "kind-of" play guitar, and then her team makes sure they insert her onto as many stages, or events as humanly possible. The video with her on stage with Christone Kingfish Ingram is very painful to watch, and showcases her very limited ability on the instrument. More people need to speak up, and hold her feet to the fire. It's great she has a nice personality, but it's a sham to elevate her as the next Clapton, or SRV. I agree, it's time to cut the BS...

Grace is absolutely phenomenal, especially when one considers that she is only 17 years old. On another video, someone said that the song she did was nowhere near as good as a well known and seasoned guitarist. My reply was simply, "and how good was that very experienced guitarist at the age of 17?" People tend to forget that when she is in her late thirties or forties, she would have improved exponentially with experience and just how good will she become if she is already so accomplished at her tender age of 17? For Grace, the world is at her feet right now and I expect great things from this young lady. So should you!

I’m looking forward to hearing her new album. Funk/soul is a great idea. Every time is watching a reaction video to a disc or funk song the reactors wish they were around when that music was played. I think it could work:

Guitar Hero is no joke. It may not have all the options but it does a bang up job of teaching people to change shapes in a rhythmic fashion. It's what got me started and I'm a drummer.

She’s got that “touch”! Can’t wait to grab her album and see her band play live! This gives me hope for the future of blues, soul, funk, etc.

I was at the Basement for the album drop and remember seeing her play Jimmy Page like a natural. She has more talent in her pinky than most people have in their entire body. Keep going kid. Just keep going.

Been followin this gal for about a year and everytime I see or hear her I’m impressed even more. Amazing artist. People throw the word visionary around a lot these days but Grace, you’re a real one. Btw my dad’s favorite song in the world was Maggot Brain. He just loved Funkadelic. Loved that guitar music. My mother passed when I was 3, she was 25, she was an instrumentalist. From what people tell me, she could play anything. And sing like a bird. So your music is very striking to me. Love seeing young people make amazing new music. Keep on rockin! Great video Tyler. Maybe my favorite yet.
