Black and Muslim for that matter too. Arab Muslism conquered and enslaved Africa with a "convert or die or be enslaved" strategy. How else do people think Islam spread through the world so fast? That's how. Both Islam and Christianity spread through slavery in different ways...(but Christianitys version of slavery was clearly worse). But I digress.

This applies to most american black people, but some african countries were christian way before when the slaves were taken to the america's. I am not sure though how was the situation in west afrca where most of the slaves were taken, if christianity had reached them yet at all at that point. BUT Chris is right in a larger scale too. Though it's also true in case of most people of the world. Many european countries were also forced to christianity, my background included. An middle east, where it all originated, seems still be killing each other for the same reasons.

George was one of the best to ever do it. What many people don't know is how much work went into these specials. George was writing new material and refining it all the time and each of these specials was the product of at least a years work. If you can catch various clips of his floating around youtube you can see the same bit at different stages performed at different times. The language, the mannerisms and facial expressions all of it was refined and honed into the final performance you see captured in these specials. In some ways the most impressive thing about them is how the fruits of such meticulous labour appears so casual and conversational.

George turned into a philosopher. Check out Saving The Planet, Politicians and It's A Big Club. If he was alive today he would have a field day with what this country has become

The Professor of Comedy. He speaks the truth in a very funny way... A real savant with his act. It is sad we lost him too soon. He would be flipping out if he saw what we are doing today.
