This is so true. All these people complaining about women not making enough in sports, or about female led movies not making enough, all wanting to blame men. If women showed up for The Marvels the way they did for Barbie, 50 Shades of Gray, Twilight, etc they'd be billion dollar franchises. People just need to accept that men like things, women like things, and those things aren't always the same. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just how we are.

Most people who went and watched it was men. It's more women than men in the world so if they showed up for women stuff like men do for theirs, anything involving women would make those women richer than the men if the women actually cared

You're spot on about high school basketball. I live in Minnesota and our WNBA team, the Lynx, were a dynasty. Yet I've never actually met someone that has been to a game. At the same time I watch both the boys and girls state tournaments every year. I actually prefer girls HS basketball. It's a different game. The WNBA is women trying to play men's basketball. I was working at one of the schools here when the boys won a state title. The team had 3 future NBA players, and a 7 footer. 7 kids on the roster over 6'7. The idea that a WNBA team could beat that team is silly. Do you want to watch Westbrook throw the ball down, or watch Britney Griner attempt to dunk?

  • @TheRealSevYT

For some odd reason, in watching reactions to this particular individual Bill Burr Belly-Busting Basketball-Basic-Babes-Business-Bid Bit, as far as what women might be more inclined to support in the way of entertainment and types and means of polemic conflict in general, etc., I'm always reminded of the one scene from "Red 2", wherewithin which the characters played by Messrs. Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, and Lee Byung-hun, respectively so speaking [Frank Moses, Marvin Boggs, and Han Cho-bai], are discussing the relationship in the movie between Frank Moses and Sarah Ross [played herself by Mary-Louise Parker]: Frank: "She's going to get killed." Han Cho-bai: "It's tough when they leave the nest." Marvin: "Frank, c'mon: a little trust ...? She has talents you and I will never have." Frank: "What talents?" Marvin: "People like her." Han Cho-bai: "If she lives, this'll be good for your relationship." Marvin: "You're right. And if there's one thing I know, it's women and covert ops." Frank: "That's two things." Han Cho-bai: "No, Grasshopper: It is not." Hehehe. 🤪🤪🤪

Shaq gave an idea to make the WNBA more interesting ''not sure if he was the first to voice that opinion'' but he said lower the rim and use a slightly smaller ball to make it easier to dunk and he got chewed up a little for that comment.

It’s his best bit I think. He nails every point and shows us the huge flaws in modern feminism and female “empowerment” they hate men but they want them to do everything for them so they can sit back and root against all the women the secretly hate. And then give the worst of the worst all of their money because makeup is cool or some stupid shit. It’s his best social commentary and that’s like saying Michael Jordan’s best dunk. He has so many!!

@@timmcfarland2853 Possibly but I do think they have a chance. Look at all the attention that the Clark/Reese thing got last year. People like myself who normally don't give a flying f about women's basketball were interested. Clark is a generational type superstar and there's potential mass appeal there especially with Reese coming in with her if they market it correctly. If it fails with this set up though then it'll never happen.

Clarke/Reese already make 7 figures from NIL money alone. There is no incentive for them to play in the WNBA and be thousand Aires when that won’t even cover the NIL taxes.

Something I was wondering if he'd say wasn't just about ticket sales-- like y'all mentioned-- I was hoping he'd also say something like, "Have you ever watched a WNBA game? and compared it to an NBA game?" And following up with a rant like (in Burr's voice), "I have. It's a tragedy to watch, comparatively. They don't have the same athleticism, half the time they're missing shots, aiming too high, missing passes, running fouls so the game stops practically every 5 fuckin' seconds-- they aren't as tall as men so they don't have the same reach, right? It's just not compelling to watch compared to an NBA game. NBA games, you've got guys literally, fucking jumping over other guys, making shots across the court, dunking-- it's riveting television. There's athleticism there that women just don't have. Not saying the women in the WNBA aren't talented, it's just... comparatively-- would you rather eat chicken, or steak?"
