Grammy was for the arrangement

The Trio (Mitch, Kirstie, Scott) all wear glasses/contacts IRL, so the cheap blue cosmetic contacts didn't cause them much problem. Avi doesn't normally wear glasses/contacts, and they really bothered his eyes (hence the red eyes), but he powered through for the video. Kevin just couldn't stand the contacts at all, so he went with the big goggles to stay in keeping with the overall feel of the video. Mitch: I'm just going to wear this old sweater. Scott: I'm cosplaying as Jack Frost! Kirstie: I'm going all out with the blue - contacts, makeup, wig, the whole getup! Kevin: I'm wearing these goggles, they really fit into the mood of the video. Avi: …You guys are wearing clothes?

If you like this one you're going to LOVE 'Love Again', only that one is an EDM original. The aesthetics are even better and Kevin's beatboxing goes to another level. (But be aware that Avi also contributes to the vocal percussion as well as providing bass). 'Run to You', as mentioned at the end is another an original and an absolute must-hear in a very different style.

@@LoccdWolfReacts They did it on about a $400 budget, there is some disagreement just how far that money went, and they had to spendd more than that, but I'm one that when they said $400, I think $400, not $400+, but that's just me.

They have original music too.

It is hard to believe it’s all with their mouths/bodies but I’ve seen them live and believe me it’s true. PTX are so phenomenally amazing, not just their voices but their arrangements and chemistry, they are truly special ❤🔥🙌

Definitely get tickets if they're near you. Seeing them the 20th for the third time. If you can get VIP tickets, I love the question and answer time with them. They are better live IMO. Love your reactions, you make me laugh. Try 90'S dance medley or something original. Sing, coffee in bed, love again or anything it's all amazing.

At 6:29, when you talk about watching all 5 at the same time ... i laughed. It's not possible. Many PTX fans will watch each video 5-6 times to concentrate on each member, then the full ensemble. Any way you listen, it's a treat for the ears.

Their back story.would make.a great movie they do have a documentary tho

Love the reaction! Yes PTX does get blocked a lot, a lot of reactors will put a filter over the video so that their content doesn't get blocked. A lot of PTX fans do not get bothered by this because by now we know the game. And if people want to watch the actual official video after the reaction a lot of people will just put the link below for them to do so. But that might be your best bet is to put filters over their videos so you don't always have to dispute with KZread.

Love your reaction! Yeah, the first time they did that skip was when they were competing in The Sing-Off in 2011 and did the old tune Video Killed the Radio Star. Shawn Stockman (of Boyz II Men) was one of the judges and it blew him away, he loved it. (You can find all The Sing-Off performances here on YT.). The bass drum effect is Kevin beatboxing along with Avi's bass notes. And yes they were so young!

@@LoccdWolfReacts Here's a link to their live performance at the Hollywood Bowl 2022 it's the best live video. There is a "private performance" on their channel, that is them doing this just in a room no mics nothing, problem is it was recorded on a cell phone, and it's hard to hear Kevin, or Avi, and some of the other vocals, but you can tell they are doing all this by their mouth, and nothing else, if you want look it up, it's under the private performance, in the video you can see a bathroom behind to the right of them.

A hidden gem that doesn't get the hype it deserves . Please do "Oh come all ye Faithful"

This video won them their 1st Grammy! Great reaction... Your face, priceless... Your dancing, great!!!! You need to start reacting to more PTX. We are going to their concert in Aug. This will be our 4th time seeing them. Kevin is for sure the best beatboxer around. Have you seen him beatbox and play the cello at the same time? If not. do yourself as favor and check it out... The contacts were irritating Avi's eyes, that is why they were red. Kevin couldn't wear them, that is why he had the glasses on.

PTX does upgrades not covers. And sure people have told you that. This was done on a $400 budget filmed in a kitchen recorded in the closet and that is how you win a Grammy Pentatonix way. If my information is correct they created us special category so videos such as this and others can be nominated for a Grammy. This is their first Grammy. They are going back out on the road I think the beginning of the summer so they may be in your area. I've seen him in concert and I always knew that you sounded the same live as they do Studio but to actually be there in witness it was really something. They never do a song that they cannot reproduce live what they've done in the studio. HAHA Avi's red eyes have been a running joke same reason you mentioned, since this was released in 2013. But actually the contacts just really irrated his eyes. Kevin was wearing the glasses, because he coud not even put the contacts in, as soon as they touched his eyes, they had to be forcefully removed. Those glasses just happened to be laying around (I think they were a crew members), so he grabbed them and wore them, they just happened to match the other outfits.

You really should see the the song that litterelly launched them on the charts (at this time 3 of the five were still i high scholl skipping classes to go to these auidit9) but " born to be wild" won them the top spoy hou should really watch that one😊

A fun thing to do with a lot of PTX videos, but this one especially, after you've watched the whole thing, go back and rewatch trying to focus on just one person. Pay attention to what that person is doing and singing. Watch it again focusing on a different person. You can do this for each of them and hear and see things you don't normally catch when trying to take it all in at once.

Lol the contacts irritated Avi’s eyes, that’s why they’re red. Kevin couldn’t wear them at all, that’s why he’s got the goggles. It does look like he smoked though 🤣

Kevin doesn’t sing very much at all. He pretty much only beat boxes/makes sounds. When he does sing, he sings pretty high notes. All low notes are SUNG by the Bass singer. In this video it’s Avi (current videos it’s Matt). There are basically 4 singers and one Beatboxer/singer.

It's been reccomended you watch each video 5 times to concentrate on one member at a time. Btw the contacts were very irritating. This is why Avi's eyes are so red. Kevin went with the visor because he couldn't wear them
