Wanna hear a fantastic song by Stevie? Look up her first solo album "Belladonna" , close your eyes, run your finger down the song list and stop on any random song. The album is THAT good.

😂 but true!
Stevie called him, and Prince showed up in the studio within an hour. He listened to the track, sauntered over to keyboards, played the duh-duh-duh-duh low bass sixteenth notes and then the high dunh-duh dunh-duh dunh-duh notes that you hear mostly in the background. Then he left. That's the story Stevie tells. (He is uncredited.)

“Phone Ringing” Hello. Hi, is Prince there? May I tell him who’s calling? Stevie Nicks. Wait what. 😮
She stated that her team reached out to Prince about a working on a song. Stevie said he showed up at her studio, set up his synth, played his part, packed up his stuff and left. Just like that. She said he walked in, played it and "walked out of her life forever" .... and Stand Back was born.
Her song,”I Can’t Wait”. Has a similar intensity. Definitely can’t drive the speed limit, to either song
Stevie is a force of nature.
Prince and Stevie! What a great combination
Prince did the synths.

The official videos for this and 'Gypsy' pretty much cemented her as a severe celebrity crush for me. They both came out when I was 18 and the combination of her style and voice just drew me in and smote me.

You were smitten, huh? 😉
Inspired by Prince’s “Little Red Corvette”, Price actually played synths on this one. He showed up at the studio, listened to the song briefly and added that oscillating synth part and then he left without speaking to anyone.
I loved Stevie's voice in the 80s, it matured a bit but I feel like she was in her prime. Started going down hill a bit around the "Street Angel" album. It happens. Her vibrato gets stronger the harder she sings, that's when I love her the most.
The look on your face after she belted the first line is exactly how we all that love her feel when we hear her, welcome to our club!!
Seeing this live is great. So is Edge of Seventeen and Gold Dust Woman. In concert, this song often gets a nice tasty guitar solo from Waddy Wachtel, guitar sideman and studio “first call” guy extraordinaire. He’s been part of Stevie’s touring band for decades.
Stevie did the soundtrack for one Of my favorite Halloween movie Practical Magic and I love the songs she sang with Cheryl Crow

She excels at writing songs that perfectly suit her voice. She is killer on this song synths or no synths. She has a raspy voice but this song showcases that side of her voice.
Do your self a favor and watch the official video. So worth it, Stevie is amazing.
This is a classic Stevie Nicks song. It is a powerhouse vocal, synth and rock track all in one, the video shows Stevie at her most beautiful. Prince absolutely made the vibe of this song what it is. It is a stand alone song in her massive catalogue !!
She is more mature and she uses her vocals and music writing to meet the times of the 80's and she became very successful and an Icon in the 80's!!!!! This is when the younger generation like yourself really paid attention to Stevie and really fell in love with her and the young girl started dressing like Stevie Nicks.
This is a great song, and to hear it live is amazing! Prince popped into the recording studio to play the synths, and left!
Hell yeah! All of Stevie nicks is a great choice.
Dude they have to be seen live! Stevie is a real Diva, not like those screamers!😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I like SN no matter what. She' # 1 female lead vocalist & song writter.
Oh wow!!!! SalvoG!!! HEART AND Stevie Nicks reactions??!!! You just struck gold! Stevie is a rock goddess! She is also lead singer on many Fleetwood Mac hits (Dreams, Gold Dust Woman, Angel, Sara, Rhiannon, SIlver Springs). You are about to go down a HUGE rabbit hole. If you thought HEART fans were intense, watch what happens when you review Stevie !!!!
"Bella Donna" "Leather&Lace" and "Edge of Seventeen" from Bella Donna album are my picks SalvoG!! Promise!! 👍🏽❤🤩
You should see her sing this live on the Solid Gold program.

....ahhh...dancing with Vince Patterson...her lead dancer in the video for the song...and it's now part of her concert performances to perform it with him...he is legendary for his work...with Michael...he is the lead white guy in Beat It...and he also went to choreograph for Michael....but most iconically....smile...if that is a word...Madonna...i have worked with Vince...my 1st major dance gig...1st commercial...he could not have been nicer....or cooler....i love to see him and Stevie dance together....a serious part of rock history....the bewitchingly beautiful woman draped in lace......and the frenetic male dancer...that moves with her at the most dynamic part of the song....the break...the romantically 80s break.....

BOOM! I just commented the same thing. 💯👊
Man, she was trapped with narrowed musical styles on Fleetwood Mac, her solo stuff is all her and is totally different. Much more wide spectrum of music, she is a rock and roller, honorary heartbreaker, loves pop music like the Beatles, etc. You have just scraped the surface, please get into her solo work more, it will better your life!! In your dreams album is my favorite, 24 carat gold is also very good, she gets better with time
My ALL time favorite song EVER!!! Love Stevie!!!
I imagine what the writer meant by "vamp posture" was a combination of Stevie's style of dress (Gothic and witchy with lots of scarves and long hair flowing) and her music videos, which define the word Vamp: a seductive woman who uses her sexual attractiveness to lure men.
One of my favorite Stevie Nicks recordings!! She knows how to rock out!!
I was bopping my head I can't lie. I had forgotten about this song, thanks Adam Sal, you crack me up
You have become my favorite reactor because of your love and Emotional responses to their music 🎶🎵💙✌️😎👏
My favorite Stevie Nick's solo song is "Violet and Blue" she put it on the 2016 release of the Wild Heart. Used to be so hard to get, only released on the "Against All Odds" movie sound track from 1983. Her best solo song to me. Also "Insider" her best duet with Tom Petty. Love the Mac. Loved them and Stevie when I was young. Oh, and you are fun, great reactions. Love from California.

Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks!
I just had to go and buy this vinyl record album when it came out, then later, the CD. I still play the CD in my car. It's my hit the road song! ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️
“Wild Heart” is a fantastic album listen. ❤️🔥
She ows the geniuses of Prince for this one
I hadn't heard the story about how this was conceived. But now that I have, I can totally hear Prince's "Little Red Corvette" in this song. Wow! If you haven't heard that song, you should give it a listen.
5:26 - Speaking of "Little Red Corvettes" - I think you would enjoy getting into the artist (formerly known as) Prince - or Prince for short. One of his funky hits is called "Little Red Corvette" - just like you showed in this video. Prince has a unique funk, rock, rhythm fusion sound and was very talented. RIP.

Do yourself a solid and watch her concert live in Chicago to really get a sense of what an amazing storyteller she is! She's amazing, im taking my daughter to see her live in August with Billy Joel!❤
Something makes me think you might love 'Sussudio' by Phil Collins.
I cant wait is a must listen to from Stevie...for me it's a classic masterpiece!
This is my favorite Stevie Nicks song.
I recommend listening to the live version recorded in Boston in 2004 on the PBS Tour. Now that one was incredible! Written by Prince and Stevie it was already a great catchy pop song but when Fleetwood Mac joined forces with Stevie's team they took the song on another level. Lindsey's guitar, John's bass and Mick's drum...wow and Stevie was on fire that night
She spent half the 70s singing stadium concerts in support of Fleetwood Mac, Rumours, and Tusk. Her rasp is earned. She suffered from polyps on her vocal cords in the late 70s from overreaching vocally. Prince wrote the synthesizer riff throughout.
Must watch movies: Rear Window, 12 Angry Men, Mr. Roberts, Bridge over the river Kwai, The Quiet Man, Poseidon Adventure.
Great DVD is Stevie Live at Red Rocks!
Really like this song by her. So good! So powerful!
Watching you realise you really are a fan and fan girling is a beautiful thing to behold! You a so bloody good at what you’re doing… ☮️ ❤️ 🏴
The Original Videos is FIRE and features Great Dancers :-D
Synths Synths and more Synths by an Artist called KiM CARNES -Undertow** this song has some of the heaviest Synthesizers sounds from the famous Oberheim Synths of the 70s and 80s.
Stevie nicks is a lighthouse, a glittering star, and an great icon/legacy will always live on.
I was so nuts about this when it came out! Wish you'd done the video. It's cool.
Have you not done EDGE OF SEVENTEEN yet? (off her first solo studio album??) you must.
She'll always be our Gypsy Queen.
Stevie could sing the phone book and I’d listen…I know I’m dating myself 😂

You hotta watch more of FM and Stevie's concert videos. So incredible! This song was so great in concert. I saw her in 2016. Incredible!
Prince put that on the track if I’m not mistaken actually I’ve heard her tell it In several interviews
Hotel California & so many more Eagles songs were written about her. Do your research. She is the woman in the hallway.
The video to this is great! You should check it out! They used to play it on MTV when MTV was good and actually played music videos!
She is gonna do concerts all over the place this year and she is going to be 75!!!!! She is amazing 🤩
I still have my Belladonna album! Nothing to play it on, but I have it.
One of my favorites... And yes, in this one her voice is just a boomin and a doin..💃🏼🔮🌙🎼 I love the "...If I were you, I'd cry"... And, the genre is Rock... And, Stevie is the Goddess of it💃🏼🔮🌙🎼 9:24 9:26
Awesome
I went through a phase... at least 3 mths where I played this on repeat..only this.. i waz a mood 🙃 i will forever love stevie❤.. can you react to silver springs I like the newer version live w lindsey so much 🥰😍
Great track! Prince is on the synth 💜
You should look up here on KZread her performance of Stand Back on the old TV show Solid Gold. Also, Stevie Nicks Stand Back Live in Chicago.
She wrote this song after hearing Red Corvette by Prince. So it's weird it reminds you of cruising in a red Corvette. You can clearly hear the similarities between songs, Nicks gave him credit though.
"Little red corvette" by prince was the inspiration... Stevie says you can actually fit stand back into that song.
My favorite song of hers, personally. Wild Heart is great, and Matt Pond did an amazing cover if you want to check those out.
She was exactly this way in concert
Here is a little reference on the background of the song "Stand Back", as the song was inspired by Prince "Little Red Corvette". In Stevie's own words, Prince came to the studio and played some of the synth's part for the track! kzread.info/dash/bejne/d4KZr9aje8K2qKQ.html
Also never listen to critics because they are judging what they cannot do and they wish in their pants that they could it does not make them a master ones that are doing it are the Masters
When you watch Stevie singing live the early songs from Fleetwood Mac, you could here more of her edgier, raspier tone to her voice then the way she sounded produced in a studio.
Great reaction! Did you ever do one for Kate Bush? If not I think you'll love her
🕊️🌬️💨
fleetwood mac live version its great too.
Try "Sorcerer" and "Trouble in Shangri-la"
Vamp posture refers to overt sexiness, a visible come on. Comes from vampires using smoldering, sexy glances to draw in victims.
Movie for you.. Gone Baby Gone... With one of my favorite actors Casey Affleck.. Ed Harris and Michelle Monaghan, I'm not a fan of her... Morgan Freeman too... It's fabulous... I just discovered you today...I have several music and pop culture groups, that I've created on Facebook.. I love Stevie Nicks 🕊️💗💗💗💃🏼🔮🌙🎼💗💗💗🕊️🌿🌸🎧💌 4:36

@@donnabruhn6907 She's lying. Lol. You think witches tell the truth? I'm not condemning her, I love Stevie but truth is truth. You cannot make albums unless certain deals are made. That's just fact today and because we were a generation who at least respected God, it's hard to believe they all did witchcraft. But there's something authentic about the music, 60s through the 90s, which says to me the artists really loved music and their fans. It became a relationship that's never been seen since.

Stevie has always had that edgier tone, but I can imagine her voice here is a combination of maturing and excessive cocaine use. Her tone drastically changes from 1979-1985. Her vocals were definitely sharper and more nasal by her 1985 album and the drug use caused a dime-sized hole inside her nose.
This is a great song, but reckon you might prefer her song Edge of Seventeen, it's a banger.
1983 was Stevie's cocaine days.. maybe her voice was raspier then because of it and she was very thin & hyped up then. Her dr. told her if she kept up with the coke, she would soon have a hole in her nose, so she has said she gave up coke due to vanity. She did not want a hole in her nose. The keyboard arrangement was Prince's contribution.
STEVIE NICKS WROTE STAND BACK TO LITTLE RED CORVETTE AND YOU NEED TO ALSO REALIZE THAT HE WROTE PRINCE DID RIGHT WHEN DOVES CRY TO EDGE OF SEVENTEEN AND ALSO HE WENT TO HER AND ASKED HER TO WRITE LYRICS FOR PURPLE RAIN SONG AND SHE TOLD HIM IT WAS TOO MUCH FOR HER TO DO... FAR TOO EMOTIONAL
Geez, you are so cute. Wish I was younger
Do yourself a favor and check out a live version!!
Stop Dragging My Heart Around and Leather and Lace where on her 1st solo album, Belladonna. This song is edgier. I prefer her previous style, tbh.
Smell poppers
Belladonna was great… this album wasn’t as strong (still solid).
Just to watch Nader, guess and not raise your hands too” .. it would s nuts You guys don’t know what we saw n heard ,. ButcWE see n hear what is polluting kids kinds It’s a Crime to not understand the music from those years
Did that say “new wave synth pop”? Because it’s totally not new wave. Synth pop-rock maybe. Her voice is in a category all it’s own, and it’s not new wave. Don’t get me wrong, new wave is my favorite genre. This isn’t that, though. Stevie is Stevie, there is no other like her.
