Interesting story. Tom Petty’s wife at the time told Stevie she had met Tom when he was the age of seventeen. She had a southern accent and Stevie heard “age” as “edge”. Stevie asked her if she said edge. She replied that she said age, but her edge and age sounded the same. Stevie was enchanted and told her she was going to write a song called Edge of Seventeen one day. Tom Petty’s wife politely said ok. She was FLABBERGASTED a couple of years later when she heard the song and found out that Stevie had thanked her for the inspiration of the title. Stevie’s only had four or five female backup singers over the past 40 years. One of the two 1981 singers, Sharon Celani, is touring with Stevie in 2023. The other singer from the video, Lori Perry, was once married to Stevie’s brother Christopher and has a grown up daughter with him named Jessica Nicks, Stevie’s niece.

I was mesmerized by Stevie when I was a young boy in the 1970’s. I am in my late 50s now, and nothing has changed. She has a one of a kind voice, and anything she sings is gold in my book.

Babe, I was there in the crowd. She delivered like a A MFUKR.

You are so lucky to have witnessed that performance in person! ❤
Waddy deserves more credit to Stevie's sound.
One word… ok, maybe two… “Icon Goddess” We are blessed she still with us and touring in 2024.
In the 80s, every man wanted her singing this to him!
She’s had so many of under her spell for decades! She’s now 75 and still selling out arenas because of her legacy of performances like this! I’ll be seeing her for the 11th time and soo looking forward to it!

Most beautiful woman in the world in this moment.
She knows how to command a stage.
So, now you know why Stevie is the reigning Queen of Rock n Roll!
My forever QUEEN 🙌🖤
“Mesmerised by Stevie Nicks.” Yeah, she was mesmerising. 😊
Her performance of Leather and Lace from this same show is hypnotic.

That was actually my wedding song
On one hand, I feel so fortunate to have grown up during the time that this music was first released. On the other hand, I'm so jealous of younger people like you who still have this huge treasure trove of music and performances that you still get to experience for the first time!

One of the best. The greatest. Lasting wayyyy past our GenX lifetime. Go on Stevie. Remind them all.
And that's how it's done folks!
Riveting, powerful, haunting, unique and beautiful.
Every guy fell in love with Stevie nicks back in the day
She is the Queen of Rock n' Roll.
……..I saw it in your eyes SalvoG 😂❤ You have Stevie Nicks fever like the rest of us had growing up with her in the 70’s & 80’s ❤️Stevie will always be my SNOW Princess ❤️ ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
Stevie has the best fans because she connects with them at her concerts.
Impossible to imagine Fleetwood Mac without Stevie Nicks and her vocals, real talent
this is one of the most incredible live performances of all time by any artist
At 64 y/o I still want to grow up to be Stevie Nicks ❣@SalvoG , thanks for pushing this through to us! You know I love *all* of your reactions 🤗
Stevie's slightly gravelly voice with the uncontrolled vibrato was unmatched in the color of the voice.
Side note, "Destiny's Child" (the band "Beyonce" started out in) used that same guitar piece in their song "Bootilicous" and if memory serves right, Stevie appeared in the music video for it.
I was mesmerised by Stevie as a little girl. My dad bought Belladonna and Wildheart on tape for my mum and she didn't like them-but I did and I still do. I think she's beautiful. She's a goddess. I still think she's the most beautiful woman on the planet!
I love that this made you feel so much!! You are bang on with your perception! She is a special kind of artist woman and the band is exceptional! She’s an eternal legend!
She put me under her beautiful spell from a tender age. She will continue to be the most gorgeous, talented human being I have ever known. I am so glad that she still touches us.
My god, does she put on a show! I’ve seen her a total of 6 times. Every year that she’s around on my birthday (April), I ask my husband for 2 tickets to one of her concerts. 1 for me and 1 for my sister. Weather it’s her alone or with Fleetwood Mac. Once you hear her voice, you cannot forget her. I’ve been lucky to have listened to her since the early 80’s up until now.
That performance is legendary. She was a wild an unstoppable storm.
Yet Another male reactor who was mesmerized by Stevie!! ❤

The goddess of music. ❤she deserves all the love she gets .
Always held the stage and audience captured! She's so witchy!!!!!
That's why she is The Rock Goddess!!!
My 60-something body still gets up to rock to her music! Fleetwood Mac, or just Stevie! Awesome!
That backing band is something else. I spotted Mick Fleetwood on drums and Waddy Wachtel on guitar.
You have just witnessed the best Stevie Nicks live performance ever captured on video. She was in her absolute prime then, her voice never better. This was the final performance of her first solo album tour. Top-notch backup band, and singers, with Waddy Wachtel's amazing driving guitar work... She never looked or sounded any better than this....

'Stevie, how much coke did you do before the show?' 'Yes.' I'm not sure she even knew where she was lol
She is and always has been a star in the stratosphere!!! ⭐🎵🎼🎶🥁🎤🎙🎸🎹🔥🔥
What’s great about these classic artists is that they always have the best bands standing alongside and behind them. She tells the story of how she met one of her backup singers. Apparently one of her singers was performing at a bar in Hawaii in the early 80’s while Stevie was vacationing or living there. They struck up a conversation and Stevie told her she was looking for a piano. The next day the woman found a piano for her. She’s been a backup singer for Stevie ever since. I know I don’t have the story down 100% but it’s pretty accurate.

Yup - that's Waddy Wachtel on guitar and Russ Kunkel on drums. They've been behind so many great performances! I'm so spoiled to have seen Stevie and her bands so many times I've lost count.

That's pretty much the story that I heard too. If I recall correctly, Stevie wanted the piano to write music while she was in Hawaii.

@@steveullrich7737 yes, Stevie tells it better because if I recall the woman was literally pushing the piano up a hill to get it to Stevie.

Waddy is a hero.
All of this power from a little 5'2" woman that is so sweet and funny in real life. She's a dynamo!!! I'm so glad to see the appreciation in your face, genuinely enjoying her performance. Stevie is like a way of life ,a feeling within, that she taps into, like a frequency that strikes my inner core. Once you feel that thing that she stirs, you feel naked without her songs in your head and heart. It's hard to describe. I love her!!!
Welcome to the club young man. I've been that way for close to 50 years.
I wanted to name my daughter Stevie back in 83..But the wife said we already had 2 Steves in the family..so i said how about Lindsey...bingo...she agreed..
You should watch her do this song live in Chicago in 1997….she is much older but she completely Rocks it but in a different way.
Isn't she just so lovely and graceful? I hadn't realized you hadn't done this one yet. This is my favorite version by far out of all of them, that whole concert was fire. And I hope they remaster it and release it because I only have it on VHS 😂 Russ Kunkel (drummer) was working his a** off, that's a pretty relentless song.
Stevie at her best, one of the all time greats.
She did this same show when she was last here a few years ago in Australia. I felt like I'd been transported back in time. Truly amazing to experience considering I didn't exist back in the 80's. Stevie is indescribable. Just magic.
FYI, that concert was Stevie's first "solo" concert (without Fleetwood Mac) and it was shown in it's entirety on cable (HBO or Showtime, I forget which).
She had a lot of experience commanding and sharing the stage with Fleetwood Mac.
One of my favorite all time songs. I would defy anybody to show me a bad live performance of this.
Yep. Queen of Rock right there bro.
Mesmerized by Stevie...a legion of us feels the same way my friend.
I had such a crush on Stevie. Shoot, who I am kidding? I still do.
One of the greatest ever.😊
The Queen of Rock ❤
She's the Queen of Rock
2:53 My same reaction every time I hear Stevie
I love your passionate response to every video you do. Your the best buddy. And of course stevie live cannot be compared to anyone else. Beautiful. Thankyou so much
SalvoG, I’d like to suggest to you to look up Edge Of Seventeen, live in Chicago (about 12 years ago). IT. IS. EPIC!!!!!!!!! Stevie has a small orchestra behind her and the music just builds and builds. It leaves me speechless. Who ever arranged it is a genius. So spectacular!!!!
She is just so bad ass!
Love all your reactions to Stevie and Fleetwood Mac! You can't help falling under her spell and loving her. I am 64 and she can still make me feel 17 ❤
Stevie is a force of nature. Beautiful woman, great singer-songwriter
My BFF and I are heading to Houston to see her tonight! This will be our second Stevie concert and I can’t wait! 75 and still killing it!
Another thing that always blows my mind is that when you see videos like this of her live performances she looks larger than life on that stage but in reality she is just 5’ 1” tall! First time I saw her live I was like 🤔 it just shows how she commands more than the space she inhabits!
As someone who was alive in the 70’s and grew up in the 80’s I was always aware of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks but mostly chose to listen to hard rock and heavy metal. As highly regarded as Stevie Nicks is, I actually think she might be underrated. In my old age I find myself listening to more of her a FM, which sounds so timeless.
Stevie is QUEEN! I love seeing her arms full of flowers. Not one is more beautiful than she is!

Love the flowers. That is how queens should be treated!
Love Stevie Nicks. Been lucky enough to see her live a couple of times and she never disappoints. This though was the solo track that just knocked me out as stand out excellent!
I have seen this amazing lady at least 10 times, twice with Fleetwood Mac. I saw her last year and am seeing her again this year. Thank you.
No, I'm pretty sure that was Russ Kunkel on drums, just as he played on the Bella Donna album.
I was fortunate to see her twice. Once with Fleetwood Mac, in Dallas, TX 1978. And again, as a solo artist in Seattle around 1984. She was crazy beautiful & so charismatic!😏❤️🎙😎🤘
I've seen Stevie several times, both solo and with FM. She is truly mesmerizing. I can't take my eyes off of her. Her talent is immeasurable. ❤❤
Thank you, my friend. As always your presence, and your sheer love of music, touches me deeply, and reminds me of how it's music like this that saved my life. Blessings. Keep on.
Such an amazing performance.. love the emotion and intensity coming out of her. And the ending is just so adorable, the way she says "Snoopy" is so cute.
All time classic live performance!
Stevie has always been this very bohemian-witchy Goddess of rock to me. Her style of clothes, her stage presence, her writing, her magical and hypnotic voice, and her sheer passion for her music. She leaves it all on the stage and on the records. Hands down my favorite solo track.
Great review....and nice to see Mick Fleetwood on the drums & YES the backup vocals are on point! Rightly so, this is one of those songs that stands the test of time and is fire after all these years. Kudos for picking this performance....it is the best version I've seen!

The lead guitarist picked the entire lead throughout the song . he was to,d it was planed to be done digitally but scoffed at that and did it LIVE !
My fave female artist. Love her !!
I wasn't at this concert but I was one of the lucky few who got to see her on this very short tour. She only did about 3-weeks worth of shows. I've seen many performers but I've never seen anyone with the charisma and magnetism that she has to absolutely hold an audience in her hand.
Im a huge Stevie fan from the beginning. Each of her songs holds its own special spot in my heart. This one is a stand out as i was coming of age, literally on the edge of seventeen when it came out and i was learning about love and life. i still find her absolutely captivating all these years later. And watching you, watching her was so awesome. I was like....dude, i so get it. its more than beauty..She just takes you ....especially with that side eye so intense....and that's alright. Check out No Spoken Word when you have a second. Think you'll like it. Cheers
Gotta love some Stevie!!!!
Don't forget to listen and be blown away by her vocal partner Christine McPhee. What a talent!!
Saw her in huston at the summit 81 or 82. She's awesome. One of the best
She was absolutely mesmerizing. Exactly what you want to hear at 5.45 in the morning, with the sun rising, and you've been up dancing since 1 am.
Just a magical track! ❤️
Ooo_ wee!!! Hit on this forever grand classic . That never gets to much play!!! BIG PROPS to the backing vocals
Excellent Choice. Stevie is a force. She is powerful yet so feminine......an amazing figure in rock. Such impactful music.
Love her... Leather and lace from the same album is beautiful ❤
Hey Salvo! This one is long overdue....a real classic!
lets not leave out shes drop dead gorgeous here I belive thats Mic Fleetwood on drums
And she gets to me!!! i am a wreck!!!! I have seen her four times i concert....very very humble and nice person....and always gets flowers after and during her and Fleetwood Mac's concerts. She has gotten roses from me in every concert I have seen her in. Also she is on Tour....you need to get tickets and go to her concert!!! You will not regret it!!! lol...you will be a "WRECK' but very Happy!!!
Since you're mesmerized and fascinated by Stevie Nicks like so many of us are, a pretty good biography on her - "Gold Dust Woman" by Stephen Davis. Just finished the audible version of it. Might want to check it out.
