When you said that song seemed personal to her... that's how good she is. All of her songs feel that way; especially in her performance versions if them. There are plenty of talented singers but very few can capture an audience like Reba.

We all wore our hair like that in the 80s and 90s, it was the style back then! It was called " Big Hair " everyone had perms in their hair in those days! 😂😅😂 It's coming back in style now so, look for it, hahaha 😂 Reba was called the Queen of Country back then, she's a great singer/song writer and also a comedy actress, you should watch her show, it was called "Reba " she was also in some Western movies and, other movies too during those days, great memories this brought back, thank you for reacting to Reba, please react to some more of Reba, she is really great ❤

Grew up singing along to this ! Got perms to try to have that hair. She was my first concert!!

Aqua Net was a fairly inexpensive hairspray that set hair like concrete. I used a combo of teasing, perms, curling irons and Aqua Net to achieve "big hair." I actually think the era of "big hair" is what damaged the ozone layer. My ex-husband used to complain that he couldn't slow dance with me because he was afraid that hard hair was going to poke his eye out. 😂 And yep, as many others have said here, "The higher the hair, the closer to God!" Add a single stark streak of blush on each cheek and you had some of the most important elements of the mid-80s to mid-90s style. (Some of us couldn't let go of that big hair as quickly as others. Go to Wal-Mart in NJ or some places in the south and you can still find it in the wild. 😂😂😂)

When this song came out me and my ex-husband were 20 with a newborn and 11 month old. That man was so unfaithful to me and always lying to me about women. I was young and hopeful though. We married in 1992 had a 3rd daughter in 1993 and divorced in 1996. This song hits me hard and floods me with memories that I thought were buried.

Lol.. the hair ..well i am from Texas and we called the big hair and specifically the bangs "wall bangs" because they were straight up like a wall.. and lawdy the bigger the hair the closer to God..Aqua Net hair spray in front of a fan or a blow dryer.. and pray nobody was smoking..lol.. or poof !!! I can remember that on a fri,sat,night combined i would use a whole can of aqua net cause we didn't want it to move ..lol.. Whitney even sported a little of one in Dance with somebody..just look back at 80's videos and you will see it everywhere.

Reba's husband was her manager all through her music career, he was caught cheating on her, he was dating a younger woman while Reba was touring and, their marriage ended in divorce! Reba was very sad for a long time over it. 😢,
