One of my favorite country songs of all time. "I don't believe that heaven waits, for only those that congregate." That whole verse is so special.

If a person is going to believe in anything, he provides a pretty good list, and that verse, if more folks could approach the idea as openly, might bring a lot of people together, and heal a lot of wounds.

I absolutely LOVE that song -- and the tenor in that recording is amazing!
Some Broken Hearts Never Mend is a great Don Williams song
I guess Don Williams "Tulsa Time" is a natural for this channel. "Some Broken Hearts Never Mend" is a favorite.
Don Williams is called the gentle Giant !
I can't imagine someone not liking him. Such a wonderful soul
“Lord, I hope this day is good” and “It must be love” are two more Don Williams song you have to listen to……

Thank you for reminding me about these songs. I can't believe they slipped my mind. My mother would listen to them on the radio and I would sing along.. thank you for bringing back a happy moment.
LOVE this song!!!!! Now u gotta react to “Tulsa Time” 🤘🏽❤️🤘🏽❤️
Don's voice was butter love his music
Good ol’ Boys Like Me by Don is profound and beautiful at the same time.

She Never Knew Me, Say It Again, Amanda, Till The Rivers All Run Dry, Tulsa Time, Love Me Tonight, You're My Best Friend, Rake and Ramblin' Man are great. He also does a duet with EmmyLou Harris called If I Needed You, which is completely fantastic!!!❤❤❤
The "gentle giant" does a fantastic rendition of "Sing Me Back Home" A MUST LISTEN
For another wonderfully wholesome expression of love, listen to Mr Williams's beautiful "You're My Best Friend"

Yes! Couldn't agree more!
My daughter had colic really bad when she was a baby, rocking her in the living room to Don Williams greatest hits was the only thing that got us through. She found his voice very soothing, and frankly so did I. I liked him before, but I loved him after that. ❤
Don Williams and Emmylou Harris were basically the singers that first turned me onto country music. This is such a great song. I especially love "If Hollywood Don't Need You".

Don Williams say's "If you see Burt Reynolds, tell 'ol Burt I said hi". Don Williams was in a movie with Burt. WW and the Dixie Dance King's and of course it had a car, a rocket 88 olds.

What he actually sings is, "So if you see Burt Reynolds would you shake his hand for me? And tell old Burt, I've seen all his movies." Don was also in Smokey and the Bandit II.
A smooth, velvety voice..With a bit of deep southern drawl.. RIP Don Williams❤😇
It's funny that Jay said Don is a gentle singer because he was known as the gentle giant.
LOVES ME SOME DON WILLIAMS!!! He was my GO-TO for SMOOOOOOOOTH, SWEET COUNTRY!! SUCH a GREAT VOICE...and, his lyrics are just SO GOOD! HUGS!
I can't listen to this song without getting emotional! Rest in Paradise Don! I wish you would have done a live performance, so you see the expression in his eyes when he sings! When he left us, the media referred to him as "the singer of plain-spoken country songs" and the music industry referred to him as "The Gentle Giant". 🤠
This one always brings tears to my eyes. My late wife sang this to the kids when they were babies. She was a huge Don Williams fan.
Don Williams also released the first and original recording of Tulsa Time. You should revisit Tulsa Time, but Don Williams’ version.
One of my absolute favorites!
Yall should definitely check out “Rose colored glasses” by John Conlee
I was a young man when he sang this and I'm an old man now. It is nice to know somebody is singing about old folks.
Gentle is such a great description of the man. Back in the day, all country greats had "Nick names". They don't do that no more and for good reasons ... Don was, and forever will be ... "The Gentle Giant".
My favorite Don Williams songs are I’m just a Country Boy. And If Hollywood don’t need you. Please add these to your list. Love love love Don❤️❤️
"If Hollywood Don't Need You" another great song.
Love Don Williams
One of my favorite voices of all time. Try his songs *You're My Best Friend or Tulsa Time*

This was my father's favorite song. We used to sit at the table and listen to music in the evening. He's been gone almost 17 yrs and hearing this brings a smile to my face.
Try. Tulsa time by Don Williams and. Remember when by Allen Jackson
Got to know him well as a young man, my mother was friends with Don. He was EXACTLY the person he sounds to be! A true gentle giant of a man, I miss him immensely and I'm more than grateful to have known him.
Another Don Williams song you would like is "Good Ole Boys Like Me". Beautiful!
He’s such a good artist. Soooooo many good songs,, try - I wouldn’t be a man, Tulsa time, heartbeat in the darkness, listen to the radio, you’re my best friend, if Hollywood don’t need you…So many more
Such a smooth, mellow voice!
The opening guitar riff immediately takes me back to my childhood, love Don Williams.
As the father of the bride, this was our father daughter dance song. As she was growing up and going through all the crap that young lady’s have to go through, I always tried to encourage her by telling her that i knew that she can conquer whatever stands in her way because I believe in you. It seemed to give her the strength to say to herself if dad says I can do this then I can do this.
Peace, Love!! RIP Don!
Voice like melted butter! Easy listening at its best!! More Country music please!
I've always felt he is singing to his child as they are getting read to launch.
Such a great song!
Thank you for this. Don is one of the most beautiful Baritone singers.
So many good Don Williams songs. Cast my vote for 'Til the Rivers All Run Dry for his next one -- if you want a positive love song. If you want your heart broken, Some Broken Hearts Never Mend would be the choice. Listened to that one over and over again after my divorce ... not so much thinking about my ex but my kids. I know, TMI!
Being that you two are from Oklahoma, you might want to give his “Tulsa Time” a listen. It’s very upbeat, fun, and worth your time.
Don didn’t rush much that is for sure. Having seen him perform live many many times it was a treat every time. He was a gentle giant of a man and was completely no frills. It’s really cool to see an entire audience captivated by 1 man sitting on a stool playing a guitar and singing. No flash no pyrotechnics no extras, just plain and simple good music.
Supposed to get a message that said this guy didn't get all the recognition that he deserves
The Gentle Giant. If Hollywood don't need you ❤
Don had one of the finest voices in country music history. You kids should check out one of his earliest recordings, as part of a U of Texas group called the Pozo Seco Singers. The name of the hit song was "Time."
You should try Amanda next. It was my step dads favourite song. He went to see Don live and when Don asked for requests, he played Amanda for my step dad. It is also my name
He changes the words each time he sings. I remember him singing he believes in puppies
One of my all time favorite songs. I could listen to song everyday for the rest of my lfe and never grow tired of it.
I adore Don Williams, his voice is so smooth!!!! I think you'll love this song!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
His voice is like a big warm hug. Love him so much! You’re My Best Friend is another good one. 🥰
“LISTEN TO THE RADIO” is a beautiful song.
"Good Ole Boys Like Me" is a good one by Don Williams.
Every time I hear this song, I think of my dad. We played this album a million times when I was growing up in the 80s. I miss those days.
Til the Rivers all run dry and Your my best friend are fire 🔥 ❤❤❤❤ love Don Williams he has a catalog of Hits!! More soon!!
He was known as the Gentle Giant.
I remember this sweet song from way back when- I haven’t heard it in years!
YES!!!
Don Williams, definitely a great balladeer ."Lay Down Beside Me" is one of my favorites. Such a kind soul.
I have a personal Don Williams story if you bear with me. A man named Bill Hall from Beaumont Texas started a music studio/artitist management/ and publishing company in Beaumont Texas. He was friends with and discovered George Jones, The Big Bopper, Johnny Winter…. He later moved to Nashville and became big in artist management and publishing. At the time of his heart attack where he died 3 days later, he had come back to Beaumont to visit his 99 year old mother. I met Mr. Williams and his wife in a surgical waiting room. Don Williams had just canceled a European tour (he was huge there) to rush to Beaumont to see his friend. He is just like his songs, the Gentle Giant. Don is the real deal! As a further musical history lesson, Bill’s friend and song writer, Alan Reynolds, sidekick of “Cowboy” Jack Clemente (Jack was the engineer at Sun Studios that 1st recorded Elvis and worked with Johnny Cash putting the trumpets in Ring of Fire) called my dad to meet him one day. I drove my dad to the bar where we met. Alan informed my dad that he and Jack had broken up after 40 plus years in a disagreement over a young artist that Alan believed in and Jack did not. I sat on the bar stool and heard Alan tell my dad we would be hearing about this new guy who he said would be the biggest ever. That artists name was Garth Brooks! This is all 100% true! Check the forward in Garth’ auto-biography.
Good to hear a good classic country I grew up with me Williams is just that classic. Tells stories RIP Mr Williams
"Rake and Ramblin' Man" and "Amanda" are two of my favorites. You won't go wrong . . .
Love this song. Thank you
Don Williams was in a popular country/pop group back in the 60’s before he went solo. The group was called The Pozo Seco Singers. It was a trio and they had some popular hits on the top 40. Try listening and reacting to “Hey, Look What You’ve Done” and “I Can Make It With You Baby”. Big hits in the mid to late 60’s.
You can tell a person's heart by the songs they positively react to and Amber my dear you have a good heart.
Finally my husbands favorite artist and song!!
I have always said, when I grow up I want a voice just like Don Williams. I'm 79. I was fortunate enough to see him live many years ago. I forgot how many great hits he had. Try "Amanda".
Just listen to this song today. Love Don Williams. I'm 70, I like when you play older music. Also Love the Bee Gees. 🥰🥰
Don Williams is from Portland Texas which is my home town. He graduated from Gregory-Portland High School in 1958 and I graduated from the same high school in 1972. He was in a folk trio called The Pozo Seco Singers and played all over Texas including Portland. My parents were friends with his parents but I didn't know of him until High School. I'm glad he made it. He deserved it.
This is the only country concert I’ve ever attended, my mom loved him and she got tickets from a friend, my dad was being a jerk and wouldn’t go with her so my best friend and I went with her, we were 17. It was actually a great time, he had such a fabulous voice
I wanted to grow up and have a voice like Don's, but it didn't happen. This is the music I grew up listening to which I still love. Pure country that needs to come back.
Don Williams was known as "the Voice", he has some great duets you should look at. Emmylou Harris and Don Williams "If I Needed You", "I Just Come Here for the Music" with Alison Krauss,
He was, and is, the gentle giant. God bless Don Williams.
Some Broken Hearts Never Mend, She Never Knew Me At All, Tulsa Time, Till The Rivers All Run Dry, My Best Friend, all gems from this wonderful artist. It Must Be Love. I'm Just a Country Boy. Rake And Ramblin Man. Do a reaction as well to And When I Die by Blood, Sweat, and Tears.
sometimes i believe someone was reading my mind when they wrote this song thank you for playing it.
Whenever I hear this song I am taken back to over 45 years ago when my first husband passed away in our 20's. This was not only his favourite song, but this was him!
Like Don Williams
'I recall a Gypsy woman' is the very first Don Williams song I heard, over 50 years ago! I still listen to it, & now play it myself on my old guitar!! 🎸
I think he was called the Gentle Giant and one of the most laid back performers I had ever seen. Love so much of his music. Good Ol’ Boys Like Me and Gypsy Woman come to mind. Found some gems in his catalog. Love your reaction channel. In my top five always. ❤
Thanks, guys, for this old country classic from Don Williams. Cool look back. Peace and love. Later.
Beautiful I have had this song on my playlist for decades … glad you kids enjoyed it!!❤️✌🏼 from California
Got to see him back live back in the 80's and it was a great, intimate setting. Wonderful!
I love Don Williams
This is the sound of my youth. There was always Don Williams, Charlie Rich, Merl Haggard, Johnny Cash and many more playing in our house. Proper Country Music.
I love this song!!! This was my Mom's favorite song ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Terrific, guys. Don Williams' "Good Ole Boys Like Me" is an intelligent, thought-provoking, beautiful song and I hope you'll give it a listen if you haven't already heard it.
I love this song. I loved country from the mid 80s to the mid to late 90s. I can't get back into it now. For about 10 years or a little more I was deeply in love with country.
Tulsa Time is also one of his best.
"My Best Friend" and "Lay Down Beside Me" are a must reaction, He's one of my all-time favorites
His song Some Broken Hrarts Never Mend is another great one.
Another artist I haven't thought of in ages. The Gentle Giant! Thanks RSR!
Funny story. I actually listened to 8 of his records this afternoon. He is absolutely one of the greatest voices in country music history
I’m crying! One of my Dads favorites from Way back. We lost him in 1986 and I still remember him dancing with mom to this song. Dons voice is like Heaven. Thx for this one. 💙💙💙
Some of faves of his are: Lay Down Beside Me I’m Just A County Boy
I remember hearing this song on the radio the first time. Then hearing it on jukeboxes. As soon as I could find the cash I bought a 45 of this (I don't remember what was on the flip side). This is one of my favorite songs growing up. Thank you for playing one of my suggestions (I know that I wasn't the only one). Your reactions were exactly as I thought they'd be! Listen to his Gold in the Morning Sun. Yes, I do remember a loud beautifully messy house.
Love me some Don Williams!! Makes me miss my dad. We’d often listen to Don Williams when we’d sit on the front porch on a Saturday afternoon just being together watching the world go by.
