You mention seeing them live well I just saw them in New York City how they perform in Japan it’s just the same as they perform anywhere else in the world the audience reacts the same no matter what they just bring the energy out of you when they sing and you’re talking about the song we are where everyone just goes silent and then we just start singing along I’m telling you it’s the same thing here in America with them performing and I literally lost my voice I couldn’t talk after the concert because I was singing my heart and soul out with ONE OK ROCK they are just the best band in the world and I can’t wait to see them again when they come back to America

I think this one was the first song I heard of them... Fitting because after this I was hooked. You should listen to "Taking off jam session", it's incredible. I dont remember if you reacted to "We are" live. It's so emotional how they interact with the people around them in a square. You see some of the crying One music video, Bedroom Warfare, I love how he changes back and for between languages.

This is one of my fav songs from them like almost everyone here because this is what their music WAS. It’s a perfect representation of their music before it became ‘I want to fit in with the US’ bullshit. My all time favorite song and the first one I ever heard from them is Kasabuta which is a song probably only 10% of their fandom knows. I LOVE The beginning but I hate how it’s every’s fan favorite song. Just because it’s the most popular. When the beginning just came out it was my absolute favorite song but now it’s just cringe to like it.

Actually, Taka said, during the concert that I got to go to this year, that the crowd reactions are different between Japan's and other countries. He said that Japan's crowds are too respectful sometimes when he want to see them go nuts with there music, but NA's crowds reacts more with the group. However, Japanese are well organised when they react with the band so they will interactt perfectly with the band but in NA, it's fucking chaos, it takes fewe seconds for the crowd to sing in harmony. Taka also said that either way, they enjoy the different crowds goes it give them different energy and vibes. 💙

💙 This is hands-down my favorite song by them, since it's what got me into them years ago. I saw them live just last week, and they interact wonderfully with the crowd and the crowd went all went crazy when he asked for it. It was an AMAZING concert and the openers were just as amazing (Fame on Fire and You Me At Six toured with them). Also, when I saw them, I got to meet the band with my friends and I cannot express just how awesome and caring they are. My friend was injured and they all jumped over the barrier and helped her out for our picture with them, while asking why she was hurting and asking her if she was ok. That was all for my (like a sister) best friend. We all joined and took a group photo with them. I loved them sooo much already, and meeting them and seeing how much they cared about my friend made me love them sooo much more (if that's even possible. Lol!). Anyway, I'm glad you finally got to react to this! I know I was one of many excited to see your reaction to this one. Haha. I'm gonna chime in and suggest a few other songs: Wherever You Are, Heartache (studio jam session), Bedroom Warfare, c.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h., Hard to Love are still among my favorites. also, among their new stuff, I definitely love Vandalize, Prove, and Let Me Let You Go. In response to your collaboration with LP, Taka did cover a song at the tribute concert for Chester. I believe it was "Somewhere I belong." Granted, I recall reading somewhere thay it wasn't his best performance, as it was emotional and he was nervous to perform on stage with Mike Shinoda. I still enjoyed it though.

💙 Also the live of "Nobody's Home". It's a song he wrote to his parents. He actually ran away from home as a teen and was going through a rough patch. He gets so emotional during the song he has trouble singing at parts. But the band and the crowd help carry him through. 😁

💙 Just recently went to a concert of theirs, and the crowd was so nice, the staff, and all the one ok rock members were super polite too. Funnily enough that concert was the last of the tour, and how it actually worked was that there were three bands total playing, and One Ok Rock went last (trust me this is relevant), and as Taka and the others started singing the song all of a sudden all the people who played at the concert rushed onto the stage and started singing and dancing. I'm all the way with you, if one day I get to see them perform in Tokyo Dome, that'd be a dream come true. Shout out to Fame On Fire and You and Me at Six

I was at the 2nd concert on this tour. It was fantastic. We got to take pics with them and they were super nice and humble. We sang with them on almost every song and Taka was encouraging everyone too. When they came back out for the encore and he said they were playing a song they've never done out of Japan, I almost died when I realized it was "Always Coming Back". I was very surprised when very few people new the words. Lol it turned into more of what you'd see a there japanese concerts.

You should do both! See their concert if they ever come to your country and in Japan! It's very different because of what Japan values vs the rest of the world. I've seen them in Montreal and it feels different because it's more intimate and the venues are usually smaller because they're not as well known in the rest of the world. I like it because you can actually see each member, while they perform. In Japan, you can't really see them performing because the venues are so big and you could be very far away from the stage, but the point is to listen to the music and appreciate the artist. 😊

💙 I saw someone else suggest Paper Planes live for the next one, I second that, if you like the audience interaction it has to be one of the most fun! While I think it would be awesome to see them in Japan, I don't think you have to in order to have a good experience. They (and most Japanese bands who also tour outside of Japan) have commented that the audiences are different, but that they love both for different reasons. At the concert that I went to Taka was constantly encouraging the crowd to be loud and sing along to everything, so I don't think it's correct to say they mean for songs to be experienced a certain way. Also seeing them outside of Japan would be supporting their goals since they want to be able to sell out arenas all over the world, not just in Japan. I don't think a band would focus so much on international shows if they didn't think they were also good. 🙂 Also! I'm sure other people have pointed this out, but Mike Shinoda produced a song for them! It's a little more on the pop side so not everyone likes it, but I think it's really good anyways! The song is One Way Ticket 👍 hopefully they do more in the future!

One of my life goals is also to attend one of their concerts in Japan, need to experience it raw at least once! Some of my other favourites that I'd love for you to react to: One Way Ticket, Wherever You Are, Heartache, Cry Out, Decision, etc. Tbh any of their songs would be good.

I love how interactive and polite their crowds in Japan are... I wonder if venues overseas filmed the concerts and sold them afterwards, if we'd see less people holding their phones to record. I'd definitely pay for it.

I've seen them live in Europe as well as in Japan multiple times. It's VERY hard to get tickets in Japan, even as a fanclub member, and the stadium atmosphere feels very different. The good thing about overseas lives ist that you can experience them in smaller venues, which is simply impossible over here in JP. So go for it"! it'll be amazing!

Love your videos my guy! As far as seeing them live, I've only seen them in Texas and Florida. Considering Japan is still being a b***h about COVID restriction, I'll definitely recommend seeing them in the states.

💙 Always loving your OOR reacts. Surprised you didn't cover this song sooner - because I think it's safe to say The Beginning was their big break into the larger mainstream music due to its use as the OST of a major anime live-action movie that's loved the world over! Back then, Taka had yet to be comfortably conversant in English, and the way he pronounced the English portions of this song in the recording wasn't as great as the way he sounds performing it live these days. But! The impact was always there. This song was my first time hearing OOR and learning of their existence - Ever since then, I dug up all their then-existing songs, loved them and the way they were grew, kept up to date with every new single/album release, and continued loving how they evolve. Never missed any of their live concerts in my country (Singapore) since then, too.

💙I have to disagree with needing to be in Japan to get the same experience. The silence you are talking about i literally got that exact experience right here in my own country. I've seen them live over 5 times now and every single time is the full on experience. No matter how big or small the venue. On a couple of shows, One Ok Rock even threw out the full English versions of their songs. And that was because us, the crowd, knew the full on Japanese versions and sang along with them at the top of our lungs. And we clap along the same way and we bang our heads along with them. That said, the band likes the diversity in the crowds between all the countries they play in, because every single one brings the same vibes, but in different levels. Japanese crowds are actually quite known for being the silent and calm ones. Especially compared to other countries where we full on show our emotions and join in where we can. And Taka will make full use of that where he can ;) creating walls of death with his cheeky little grins and what not, cause over here he can ;) So yes being able to see them in Japan would be an experience on its own, but i don't immediately agree with ''having'' to see them in Japan to feel their music the way they mean it. Don't let your chance to catch them live depend on the place. They bring it everywhere they go. Every single time..

ive seen them a few times live, as recently as last week, and i have to say, it's worth it to watch them tour in north america if you can. I feel like their venues in japan are these huge arenas and its great to get that huge crowd interaction. But the smaller indoor venues in NA mean you can get even closer to the bands. A few years ago, I got to see them in Boston and was on the second floor of the venue, maybe 10 ft away from the band the entire time. they're so good live!!!

💙 As always love your reactions, this one might be their most famous song, or at least the one that is mostly recommended, quite a powerful song, and knowing that you like them heavy songs I'd recommend either One by One or Reflection for the next reaction. Also, about Taka and Mike, check out the Live Hollywood Bowl 2017, Specifically the song Somewhere I Belong, Its not Taka's best performance, but Knowing LP is one of the biggest inspirations for OOR, this sure was quite an emotional performance of both.

💙You mentioned how Taka hits hard whether he's singing in English or Japanese and I got reminded of someone else's videos where they do reactions (one of the people is Japanese and the other is an American who knows Japanese and they talk a lot about the music and how angelic Taka sounds, haha) and one of the things they've mentioned that stood out to me (I think it was specifically when they were watching the video for "Save Yourself") is that Taka's accent doesn't really change when he switches languages. So like he sings with an English-speaking accent, I think? Something like that. (which is interesting because when he speaks English you still hear his Japanese accent) So it makes it hard, almost, to tell right away when he switches because it's so smooth from one to the other. Anyway, just an interesting thing you reminded me of. :)

One OK Rock are amazing especially in a smaller venue. I recently saw them live in Denver, CO. There were many people who had flown from Japan to see them in the US as when you see them in the US you can get a lot closer and the interactions are different but way more personal it feels like.

I’m sure someone somewhere has mentioned it but Linkin Park and OOR are actually friends and they had an entire tour planned out together before Chester passed away… Taka even sang Crawling for the Chester Bennington tribute concert with Mike Shinoda and the Linkin Park band. There’s also an early video where Taka was interviewing Mike and Chester when they were in Japan… Good luck getting tickets in Japan, it’s hard for foreigners outside of Japan to buy things online there, and it’s almost a lottery in Japan for locals to get their hands on tickets too! 😆 The good news is that they just finished their US tour in support of their latest album Luxury Disease and are now planning their tours in UK/Europe, Asia, and of course back home in Japan. You should definitely be able to get tickets to see them in London. My son just saw them a couple weeks ago in a small venue in the US with less than 2000 people there and said it was still amazing! Cry Out for the next song!! 🤘🤘

💙 I'm always happy to see you reacting to ONE OK ROCK and you finally got to react to this amazing song. They just finished and wrapped up with their NA Luxury Disease Tour and hearing them play this song always gets the crowd roaring here in the US. Taka's vocals are still absolutely amazing as well as the rest of the band. He even went down the platform and stood right at the edge to sing this song near the end for his fans. Truly amazing to hear him LIVE and I'm glad to see him doing well. After a whole month performing, I hope they will get their well deserved rest from touring and come back to Japan to perform live for their newest album. There's many of their older songs that they have performed LIVE at the 2014 Mighty Long Fall YOKOHAMA STADIUM, that I can highly recommend checking out. Songs like NO SCARED or Re:make with Toru's amazing guitar solo live performance, are absolutely bangers and a classic of their older rock style. If you ever have the time, I would highly recommend seeing their entire whole hour and a half performance for this as the 2014 Yokohama Stadium was one of their biggest performances. Their energy to perform this was absolutely insane with many of their best songs performed live including this version of The Beginning.
