Japan now is exactly one of the place in the world where rock music more then just alive! During the most of young generations over the world is hooked on the same-sounding depressing rep I guess only Japan and Finland can be proud of them selves for saving and spreading of rock&roll ! If you're more into metal and haven't checked them out yet - Coldrain is an INCREDIBLY UNDERRATED Japanese metal band (they're actually very good friends with OOR too). They have plenty of live videos that are all pretty good, for example PARADISE (Kill the Silence) or their Coldrain TV videos that are basically live videos shot as music videos (MAYDAY feat. Ryo from Crystal Lake, which is INSANE fun, or Gone). One of their new songs on their new album called "Cut Me" is AMAZING too and I will always recommend watching The Side Effects.
