But what matters most is what kinda effect we can have on your behavior tomorrow, by spending time together tonight. We're happy if y'all enjoy our live, and greet the sunrise tomorrow feeling happy. I honestly feel like One Ok Rock is so underrated on the world stage.. Even considering how popular they are.. they really should be as well known worldwide as the big ones like Linkin Park. They sure have the talent for it and bring as much emotion to their shows as LP did.

One OK Rock is underrated? I went to some festival in Coachella in 2018 (no it wasnt THE coachella it was just some music festival in Coachella) and they got booed off the stage. They sang Cry Out, the japanese version, and as soon as they started singing the second half in japanese, the croud started booing pretty bad, and so they restarted the song but they sang the english version... but everyone was booing so hard they just left after that. They were supposed to play for like 45 minutes. They barely played for 5. It was so fucked up and sad and wrong. They were pretty much the only reason why i went, and i only got to see them for half a fucking song. I was pissed. VERY VERY VERY underrated band. motherfks didnt even give them a chance.

TAKA'S BEGINNING SPEECH: Any night and any morning will always come. Whether those are good or bad, they will always come as long as you are living. But what is important is how this night we spent together will influence your tomorrow; if you can welcome tomorrow with happiness after tonight's concert that would make us incredibly blessed and grateful. Please welcome tomorrow with open arms through this next song. Thanks for the reaction and appreciating Japanese music!

Yes, Taka wrote their songs and sometimes the other members also but mostly him cause he's the composer and lyricist of the band. I swear, he's so inspirational when it comes to writing their songs you can really feel his passions towards music and he's also always doing some sort of motivational speeches to some of their concerts to inspire their fans, especially the young ones. Ps; in the English lyrics sometimes he asks for help to his american friends to help him in the grammar. Taka can speak English, i can say that he improve through the years. im so proud of him 🤧

I don't think you're the only one, instead when I see you talk and say: "There's something different in this band"... I just repeat "It's true, it's true..." It's been almost 7 years listening to them, and although their style musical has been changing, I have never stopped feeling that his interpretation has changed. It can be an emo rock or a pop-rock (as they say) but for me it's always One Ok Rock... Because regardless of the song, that feeling! that feeling is always there. One that makes or presses your heart, that makes you fill with euphoria, scream and desire to be there with them... It's that feeling that makes your hair stand on end and moistens your eyes. I have listened to their music for years, and they have never failed to give me the same feeling 💓❤‍🔥 *I wrote this before hearing more of what you were saying and it turns out we were talking about the same thing 😳🤭

I really hope that everyone can get to see them performing Live one day. Genuinely. The only thing is, once you see them Live you'll want to do that again, even more 😄 but yes, they sure are amazing and very deep and comforting, their songs have been supporting me since 11 years ago or so. I still remember that feeling when I travelled alone to another city at the age of 17 to go to my first ever J-Rock concert, and then Taka started hitting those high notes as I stood right in front of him in the first row. He had the stage light pointing at him in the dark at that moment too... that's almost like a core memory. I can say they've been helping me grow and even influencing my personality in a good way through all these years. Not to mention, they are always giving me hope. And I, too, really hope to see them Live again one day... If anyone read this far, thank you - I've just been feeling down for sometime, and watching this video reminded me that I have things to look forward to :) and OOR songs to back me up Thank you for the video!

The audience receives joy and healing from their performance, and the members feel the power of the audience and the joy of sharing the same time. I completely agree with you that their song really touches the heart. I first stumbled upon One OK Rock by chance back when I was in highschool and the fact that they're about the same age as I am, I can relate to every single words in their lyrics. Their music's been with me through all my ups and downs. When I have no way to let go of my repressed feelings, their songs heals me in unimaginable ways. Their older songs are more cynical than they are now but I still hold them in my heart very dearly. Most of their songs are very deep and meaningful. Throughout the years, their music changes; the styles, the polishing and the overall mood and tones. Being their fans for so many years I feel like I'm going through life's journey and maturing with them. From cynical teens, to understanding more of the world, to going out of the comfort zone, experiencing setbacks, rising back up, empowering others and finally going back to the roots and take a step back to reflect back on what makes them who they are; their identity and what kind of music they want to produce. So yes, I understand if you feel connected to this band 💖. Also, you should do a reaction video on "Mighty Long Fall"

I KNEW YOU WOULD LOVE THIS SONG!!! :D Here is what Taka said before the song: The night definitely comes, and so does the morning. It comes as long as we live, whether it's good or bad. But what matters most is what kinda effect we can have on your behavior tomorrow, by spending time together tonight. We're happy if y'all enjoy our live, and greet the sunrise tomorrow feeling happy. Please welcome tomorrow warmly with this song. This next song is called Wasted Nights." (Not my translation. I found it under the original video.) I really really love this song and Taka's voice is incredible as always. - Gonna edit my comment as I continue watching the video to answer your questions. - YES! Taka writes and composes pretty much all the songs. Of course there are other songwriters, composers and producers involved, but he writes like 90% of the lyrics. Even for their fully english songs he writes the lyrics and only for grammer or a few words do other people add to the lyrics. In their early days (2005-2007) Toru (guitarplayer and leader/founder of the band) used to compose and write their songs and Taka would slowly join in. - As always: loved watching you get mesmerized by Taka's vocals knowing what was coming at the end of the song :D - Sadly I've never seen them live as I've only discovered them at the beginning of the year. I really hope they come to Germany this year... I have however invested in their concert dvds and watched them all. I've never seen a better concert even tho I watched it on a screen. - I was grinning the entire time watching your reaction. As always it's just so much fun watching you. Thank you for that!!!! - You guessing that Taka may have been through something is actually correct.. When he was 13 (I think) he debuted in a idol group. He was kicked out when he was 15 because he had a girlfriend and that is considered a scandal for an idol. After that he had to live a normal live and go to school (which he didn't really do while being an idol) and he couldn't keep up with the other students. He attended a cram school for a year and was only home to sleep for like 5-6 hours before going to school again. That was really ahrd for him and after a year he started messing around and his parents threatend to disown him. He ran awat from home, dropped out of highschool and worked part time. It took a long time for him to fix his relationship with his parents who got divorced after he ran away. (Listen to Nobodys Home (and read the english translation for the lyrics) if you want to know more about that. This song is like an apology to his parents). He said before that he would have been someone who couldn't be helped if Toru hadn't asked him to join the band (he also said a long time ago that he was sure he would be dead before turning 20 if it was't for one ok rock) - I would recommend Change form their Field of Wonders at Stadium concert next. It's an online concert they did in 2020 because they couldn't finish their tour. Their Netflix documentary is kind of the behind the scenes of that concert with a few live performances from that concert and a little bit of background story of how the band was formed. I would looooove to see your reaction to this even if it is over two hours with you pausing and giving your thoughts. I don't know if it's possible to upload a reaction to Netflix content on patreon, but like I said I would LOVE to see it. (just copied my comment from patreon :D)

One Ok Rock really know how to impress people with their meaningful lyrics, I can say that they never disappoint. A song that I would like to recommend is "I was king" with the fantastic orchestra from the Japan tour but if you want something different with a little bit of nostalgia then I would say "grow old and die young" definitely worth listening!

I have no idea why KZread recommended your channel to me a while ago.. but i'm glad that it did! I really enjoy watching your reactions. They feel genuine. Not only that, but I discovered ONE OK ROCK through your videos and they have also become one of my favourite bands. The past few months have been tough for me in my personal life and their songs have helped me through a lot! So, a massive thank you for that!! You're not crazy, their songs genuinely do make you feel something. Every song feels as though it's been written for you and you can relate to them so much! I think someone has already mentioned it in the comments section, but you should definitely react to 'I Was King' the Live Orchestra Version! It's another great song and performance!

I loved seeing them come through the states because they play in super small venues (compared to what we usually see in their Japan shows). I am and will be forever grateful for the times I’ve seen them. I’ve seen them play in Phoenix and the venue had a small balcony. I paid a little extra to be the only one up there. All through the show the entire band kept pointing at me. 😁

Fun facts about the band. Ryota, the guitarist is married to Avril Lavigne´s sister. They have a beautiful daughter. Tomo, the drumer has 3 adorable babies at home, too. By the way Tomo has his own KZread channel, playing drums on OOR songs. It is really good.

OOR is a very special band. We all feel the same way about them. You are not alone. You should check out "Be the Light," "C.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h.," and "Nobody's Home." Live version if possible, but please don't do the fan made live mixes. They're nice videos but I just don't think they're good for reactions because it's edited by a fan and not the way the band intended the song to be presented.

Binged all your videos one after another after getting it recommended. I absolutely love reacting to people finding this band 😊! I saw the comments and remarks also about them being compared to Linkin park in feeling, lyrics and greatness. One ok rock was a very big fan of the band and looked up to them. They were supposed to be the supporting act for Linkin park in the upcoming tour in America, unfortunately Chester passed away before this happend 😔 they did meet each other before though and had contact before they were asked as a supporting act. For their concerts: they have had a europe tour each year from around 2013 till 2019. I still remember how thrilled I was the first time they came to europe 😭 They are doing an America tour again later this year, so I'm positive they will come back soon to Europe as well 😊👍 Recommendations: Might long fall, Clock strikes, Jibun Rock, Yokubou ni michita seinendan (song from 2007, full japanese and different style)! And maybe you don't have to do a live reaction, but also really recommend the 18fes version of We are! One ok rock made that song for the 18 year olds in Japan who were able to vote from that year on. Older generations were mocking their age for being too childish to vote. One ok rock made a collab documentary and started the first 18fes, where 1000 18 year olds were chosen (based on sent in video's where 18 year olds told them their dreams and aspirations) to record a song with them together. No vocal talent required to enter. You can watch the documantary online with subtitles and the song is also found with subtitles on youtube! The documentary is so good, because it not only follows the band picking the 18 year olds and writing the song. It also follows multiple participants and their hopes and Dreams. Sorry for the long ass comment, just got really excited and couldn't stop 😂 Keep up the good work and love to see more reactions 😁

It's really nice to get acknowledged by the people you look up to, in hoping to you doing more of their reactions, here's my suggestion The Beginning MV. This is pretty much where it all started for most fans a full 10 years ago. I was lucky to know them a year before they dropped this banger but I was having a lot of trouble trying to get my friends to have a listen until they dropped The Beginning as the theme song for Rurouni Kenshin Live action movie. Since the movie was released globally, a lot of people got to listen to their song and well, they exploded! It definitely was a huge factor in them blowing globally on top of their already amazing music. So yeah, looking forward to a reaction for this banger from a decade ago kzread.info/dash/bejne/epxt27yQlbfThrA.html

Maybe someone already wrote about it but there's a lot of comments on your OOR videos (very happy about them btw!) so it's hard to look through everything: - Taka was chosen as a member of a j-pop group NEWS but he left them - it's such a different sound to what he ended up doing that it's still astonishing! But I'm very happy about him becoming frontman of OOR. I can't imagine him singing e.g. NEWS 'Sayaendou'. You still can find his performances e.g. "Takahiro Moriuchi before One Ok Rock (NEWS performances)" - Taka's brother, Hiro, is a frontman of a band My First Story - when I first heard their song I was confused because I thought it was Taka... I highly recommend "mine" and "Accident". - also, they have great Japanese/older songs - "Liar", "The Beginning" (theme song for Rurouni Kenshin movie), "Be the light" (another heartwarming message), "Answer is Near" or "Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer" - and yeah, live they are awesome
