@@thomasanguita6568 madvillain is a formation, a team, not a persona, the guy was right in the first place, it's madlib and doom aka the villain. Now yes the illest villains suggests some other larger persona, but that is from the sum of them, doom is rapping though, he's the villain. If you consider all the personas, even the ones mentioned it will get real interesting and complicated but, the overall theme is just in the album title simply meaning the two guys working together.

some things I noticed while watching this: 1. Fancy Clown is more than just a joke about DOOM cheating on himself (wears a mask all day, tinhead, tin crown face), it’s self deprecating because he’s heartbroken and yet he would just as easily do the same thing to someone, thus they are both himself. He’s acknowledging his own hypocrisy 2. The “shot a cop day around the way” etc bar in Figaro is one of the best bars in the song if you really break it down 3. Didn’t realize how good of a bar the “quadruple” one was either on Money Folder 4. “Overthrow 'em like throwing Rover a biscuit A lot of bitches think he's overly chauvinistic Let go his dick if that's the case Rats, what a waste, there's more cats to chase“ although obviously and self-referentially misogynistic, DOOM was spitting pretty decent advice ngl my favorite album of all time and I still constantly find new details about it to love

So if you want to go down the DOOM wormhole I would suggest taking it back to the essence, to when he was still a young emcee by the name of zev love X in a group called KMD. Their first single "peach fuzz" will show you just how far he came to become DOOM. Or you could check out "the gas face" which is a classic song by a group called 3rd Bass featuring him(still Zev Love X). But I have a Collab that you'll love.... Called "Angels" by him(as DOOM) featuring ghostface..... Yeah. Nuff said.
