The older man is Andy Griffith most of us here in the states that are around my age grew up watching him. Either on The Andy Griffith Show or Mattlock or in my case both lol. Now I could be wrong on the timing maybe I just stumbled across the video but it seems like this was put out not to long before he passed away. This video is always a little more emotional for me because of that.

@@GOTGames I would see if you can track down some episodes of The Andy Griffith Show. Not only was Andy great (though he had to play straight man to Don Knotts' genius comedy), but a lot of older country and bluegrass musicians guest-starred on the show. Also, director Ron Howard got his start on that show as a very small child playing Andy's son.

If I remember correctly Brad made sure Mr. Griffith got some of the rights to this song because he heard he was struggling a bit. Actors didn’t get paid as well when he was really big. My dad still loves the Andy Griffith show.

So this is Andy Griffith and I saw Brad Paisley in concert about a year after he passed away in Virginia, and when they played this song, just north of the North Carolina border at the Virginia Beach amphitheater(Andy Griffith was from North Carolina) it was a highly emotional time and a beautiful testimony for him. Brad sang and performed the song but they played a tribute video on the backdrop for Andy. He was a legend himself. And Brad paisley is an incredible performer and musician. Love seeing someone see him for the first time. There are so many other artists and songs I can’t wait to hear you react to. Just found your channel and I’m already addicted. It means something more to me truly, These songs are my childhood and really my life, just by what I was raised on even. Watching someone like you who has never heard them, makes it feel like I’m hearing them for the first time. And that’s something really special. I really look forward to more country music reactions! It’s a genre that has such a bad name and I truly enjoy seeing people enjoy what I enjoy about it. 🥰

Brad is super talented. As a singer, writer, amazing guitarist & special human. He & his wife opened a charity in Nashville called 'The Store'. Folks without food, come in, grab a cart & fill it & leave with free bagged groceries. They named it that so people would not be embarrassed when they use it. They can just say, I gotta go to the store & no one knows they mean the charity store. They are both heroes as far as I'm concerned. ~ Also, FYI~ Toby Keith also makes amazing minimovie type videos too. I know you watched his 'Courtesy of the red, white & blue, the angry American', which was different. His regular songs have fantastic videos. You will die laughing at his videos for 'As good as I once was', 'Trailerhood', 'Red solo cup' or 'How do you like me now?' to name a few of his funny ones. In fact, other than for his patriotic songs (American soldier & American made') he even makes you laugh at the videos for his serious ballads, like 'It's a little too late' & 'You shouldn't kiss me like this'. Probably his all-time best video is for his duet 'Beer for my horses' with country legend, Willie Nelson. It is like a made for TV movie & you would love it. Run these songs by your friend & I bet he will agree. Love watching you react to these things.

Saw this video again and I can't stop hoping that Andy would get off that bench at the end and still be with us. Guess it wasn't long after this video that he passed away and I keep expecting him to fade away on that bench on that beach. RIP Andy. BTW, if you like Brad Paisley, you can watch some funny songs as well, like Alcohol, or how about I'm Gonna Miss Her (not what you expect), He Didn't Have To Be and so many others. He's fantastic. BTW, I'm Gonna Miss Her features his girlfriend in the video, but is his wife in real life and they have 2 boys together.

I’m 34 and even I grew up with Andy Griffith. Even as young as I am, if you grow up in a more rural setting, with the type of family that listens to country, you probably grew up with Andy Griffith reruns. And Mattlock reruns lol. He’s just a part of wholesome Americana. The idyllic kind of simple yet fulfilling life. He was absolutely PERFECT for this music video. I’m really glad he agreed to do it. He died seven years after this. But he touched our hearts and he won’t be forgotten ❤️.

I took a quick look at your channel, and it looks like you haven't yet checked out Reba McEntire. You like good storytelling, she's got it. Of course, Brad's great at that, but I promise you'll like her, as well. When she started her own comedy show, the filmers thought they'd have to teach her how to act, but her music videos had been mini movies for so long she already knew what she was doing.

This is a wholesome song but then I think how rude the girl is to Brad Paisley, like he's been waiting, 3(?) hours by now?? He said something about was it this hour or the next one at this minute or is it the one after that because its almost getting to that. And she hasn't replied yet. In my books, if you're gonna be late, tell me before you ARE late. If the meeting is at 10, tell me before 10. Don't wait till 10:05 or later saying you're late cuz buddy, I've figured it out your late based on the fact you ain't here. That's all I ask, common courtesy. If you're running late, TELL ME. I don't have patience anymore and if you're constantly running late I'll also show up late. I don't see the point bending over backwards trying to rush myself to be on time if you don't put in the effort. Sorry but I've dealt with chronic tardy people and I can't anymore.
