The Bee Gees were the Best. Their voices were absolutely beautiful, especially Barry and his falsetto. You don't hear voices like this today. So gifted, so talented and pure raw talent. No auto tune, no yelling and screaming, they Just could sing and the Harmony was ridiculous! Amazing, amazing voices from God!❤❤😊😊❤❤😊😊They are brothers and their music started in the 1970's!

In the sixties! I saw them on TV in Australia when they were young teenagers. They moved to England in 1966, or, 1967, and started recording hits. A year later they moved to the U.S. and started getting big hits in USA and all over the world. Great songwriters and one of the best bands ever!

Stayin Alive is not only one of the best-selling singles of all time with 31 million copies but is also the goat song of the 70s. Sir Barry Alan Crompton Gibb only had two solo album without ever landing a number 1 hit, but with the BeeGees and with other artists like Barbra Streisand, Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross & at least Celine Dion he landed more than 50 number 1 hits around the globe. To this until today unmatched and all time world record. No one wrotes more No.1 hits than Barry Gibb.

The Bee Gees, Barry, Maurice and Robin (maurice and robin are twins) started singing together when they were really little, earning money to support their family. Their dad had a group of his own as a drummer. Their dad was in a band before they started singing together. (Their dad wasn't successful with his group) In the late 60's, early 70's the 3 brothers had a fall out and had solo careers for a little but they didnt feel "whole" without all 3 singing together (maurice and Robin were 18, Barry older in his 20's when this happened) they started singing together again....the rest is HISTORY! Their career lasted over 40 years!!! From when they first started 1960's till their brother maurice passed away, 1990's. Thanks for reacting! Love, love, love the Bee Gees!!

Love your reaction to the Gibb brothers! The lead singer, Barry, wrote and recorded a duet with Michael Jackson in the mid 2000s. When MJ died, Barry released it on to KZread. It’s called ‘All In Your Name’ - really worth checking out. Michael was the godfather to Barry’s child.

No movie, that I know of, defined the disco era as well as “Saturday Night Fever”. The clothes, the music, the clubs - they nailed it. You really need to watch it to get a feeling for that time.

I'm 65 years old. The Bee Gees have been my favorite group since I was a teenager. Maurice and Robin are twins. Barry is my favorite but Robin had a voice that is amazing. Robin had a solo career for a while due to Barry having more lead songs. When they got back together they wrote How Do You Mend A Broken Heart . Robin's most famous song is I Started a Joke. An amazing FYI, they don't read music. They do everything by ear. Also They have written countless songs for other famous singers. Both Maurice and Robin died from cancer. I really enjoyed your reaction. I'm going to subscribe.

Bee Gees were active end of the 1950s through the '90s. This song is from the height of their career in the second half of the 70s; it was part of the famous "Saturday Night Fever" film soundtrack (which is the prime reason the Gibbs are often thought of as a disco group, when in fact they were very much more than that). Barry Gibb, eldest of the three, is now the only surviving member of the trio. He is still fairly active in music. He was interviewed on one of the US network talk shows just this past week... there's a new documentary streaming about the Bee Gees, Barry has a new album out, and a biopic about the trio is in the works...

You have an infectious smile! Your reactions are genuine and you're very funny. The Bee Gees were amazing. Barry Gibb was the lead (& now, sadly, the only surviving member of the group). You asked for other Bee Gees tunes you can react to - there's "You Should be Dancing", "Tragedy", & "Nights on Broadway" (a favorite of mine). There are many more, of course. I'm an 80's "girl" but I adore the Bee Gees, listen to them all the time. Thanks for what you do, you do it well No Limit Twon!

The Bee Gees lead the way for the disco era. The craziest thing was how fast these guys wrote their songs. They were truly amazing. I’d love to hear their process from start to finish and making a song. Was it a melody that came first. Was it lyrics that came first. They were known to write multiple songs in a single day or weekend. How did the lyrics come to them who were the true writers. Did different brothers write different songs or different parts to songs. Same for the music. Who and how did they decide on their harmonies who does what when? It would be great to have an in-depth interview with Barry Gibb before it’s too late. I think a lot of fans would find it very interesting. I think that a lot of people who love music creating music writing music. And learning to be a performer would benefit even more. It’s like learning an art why the original artist is still alive. Let’s go hit me up Barry!

Disco! Best time EVER in the clubs! All three had exceptional vocal talents w chest, head, and falsetto ranges and interchanged lead and backup vocals depending on whether they were singing live or in the studio! And they never read music....Barry said once that they didn’t even know what a harmony was until well into their career. It was all produced spontaneously at the start of their career. 99% of their careers were spent w each other....they remained close their entire lives.

Their career started in the 60's and Robin (long-haired guy) was the lead singer. In the 60's, a few songs were real big hits ("I started a joke" "to love somebody" and "Massachussetts" mainly). When disco music hit the street, Barry took over the lead vocals with his unique distinctive falsetto vocals. The BeeGees were HUGE.

The BeeGees started in the mid 1960s with mostly slow sensitive pop songs, but when the disco craze began in the mid 1970s they changed their sound and became THE biggest disco act. You couldn't turn on a radio in 1976-78 without hearing the BeeGees. This song is from that era. "Jive Talkin'" should be the next one to hear (and before you ask, the title means "Talking B.S.")

Sir Barry Gibb's falsetto (and his ability to sustain it in this very song...) is legendary... He did do a few stints as a solo artist - as well as sing with Barbara Streisand on her album, "Guilty". His younger brothers Robin and Maurice (twins...) also went solo - for a while. However, it was the three brothers doing their harmonies (as well as composing lyrics and music...) TOGETHER that turned The Bee Gees into Living Legends... These three Musical Geniuses not only wrote their own songs, they also composed songs for Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Parton, Diana Ross and Dionne Warwick (to name a few...), as well as produced their own albums. If You haven't done it already, check out these videos; "You Should Be Dancing" (where their youngest brother Andy is also performing with them on stage...), "Jive Talking", "Tragedy", "One" and "Wish You Were Here" (their tribute to their brother Andy...) - these three guys were a force to be reckoned with, for 5 decades... Today, Sir Barry Gibb is the last brother standing - still active composing and singing with his children - as well as his niece, Samantha Gibb (Maurice's daughter...).

Barry (lead) is in middle & is the oldest, Maurice had the shortest hair to Barry's left & is a twin to Robin, who is on Barry's right. They did a few times when they're split up due to rifts in their relationships over their long career (they were brothers after all) during which each had solo albums. However, they always got back together. Beyond their own successful songs, they also wrote many, many hits for lots of other artists...they were prolific songwriters along with being phenomenal singers & musicians!

The Bee Gees were formed in Australia by three British brothers. Their early stuff is completely different from their disco music of the 1970s. They returned to England in 67. The band wasn't always a trio band. Up until 1972, the band included unrelated members. Maurice and Robin have since passed. The latter is buried in Thame, a village west of London in a church yard, not far from the house he lived in.

If you ever watched Saturday Night Fever featuring John Travolta, the whole sound track is the Bee Gees! They were the kings of Disco! They were so big, for so long, had so many #1 hits in a row, that they OVERSATURATED the airwaves and a certain point and there was a backlash against Disco and them! So what did they do? They wrote songs for other artists, and those songs still went to #1! Legends!
