So happy you love the Bee Gees as much as I did when I first listened to them as a teenager in the 1970s. I'm a black woman and had their poster on my wall back in the day. I also made a huge poster in Art Class in High School with their names on it in big bold letters! I was obsessed and still listen to them on a regular basis. I never get tired of their music. You have a lot of years of listening pleasure coming your way:)

That high voice of Barry's was discovered by accident when recording Nights on Broadway. He didn't even know he could do it. After that singing in falsetto was what they did in the disco era. And the rest is history. His regular voice is beautiful too. Listen to Nights On Broadway where it all started. You will hear his regular voice.

Also, please check out the audio of their songs 'Tragedy' and 'Love You Inside Out' which were massive hits (on all their Best Of albums) but didn't get their own music videos - trust me, you want to listen to the audio and hear it clean, as it was intended. This is the opening theme of the John Travolta movie Saturday Night Fever, and was one of the biggest movies of the 70s...very gritty and realistic portrayal of the late 70s New York disco scene. This song was a MASSIVE hit, and you literally couldn't go anywhere without hearing it. I just commented on another reactor's channel about a song that kinda dissed disco music at the time and he said he didn't agree with it because the Bee Gees were so great. I told him I agreed that the Bee Gees WERE great, but most disco music was really lousy, and as a result, a LOT of rock fans hated disco. The Bee Gees had started out as a soft rock band in the 60s who just kinda fell into the disco scene, so they were still consummate professionals, and as such were making just about the only disco music that was worth listening to. And they managed to continue on in other genres after disco music came crashing down literally in flames in the early 80s.

I grew up listening to the Bee Gees, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! All three brothers had amazing falsetto's, however, Barry Gibb, in my opinion, has the most unique falsetto, because in his falsetto, he also used his vibrato, which is rare! They were brothers, & Barry is the last one, but please review more of their music, you will not be disappointed. They span over many decades, & crossed quite a few genres. Looking forward to taking this journey with you!!! ❤️❤️ Just to give you an idea, they started as kids, but first really started to become popular, was with the song, To Love Somebody in 1967!!! Make sure you select the 1975 live performance from The Midnight Special, and not the one with the studio version dubbed over it, you will appreciate their voices and harmonies even more when you hear them sing live. You should also go way back and check out some of their music from the late 60s. This video was filmed on MGM's back lot #2, in Culver City, CA. Fun Fact; the drum beat (previously recorded...) was literally stretched and turned into a loop, since the drummer had to leave the U.S. and go back home, due to a family emergency. During my medical training in the early 1990's, this track was used in our CPR class to keep the correct rhythm while practicing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The Bee Gees Catalogue is vast - these three Musical Geniuses wrote, sang and performed over 600 songs. "JIVE TALKING", "NIGHTS ON BROADWAY", "WORDS", "ONE", "MASSACHUSETTS", "FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS", "I STARTED A JOKE", "MAN IN THE MIDDLE", "FANNY BE TENDER (WITH MY LOVE)", "BLUE ISLAND" (donated to the children of wartorn Bosnia...) and "TRAGEDY" are but a few that showcase the extraordinary talent of these three Legends.💖💖💖

You'll LOVE The Bee Gees hits: 1). "MORE THAN A WOMAN" 2) "JIVE TALKIN". 3) YOU SHOULD BE DANCING". The smoothest disco hits ever! AND during the same Disco era (Mid-Late 70's) is a group you'll absolutely love: ELO (ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA), their bit hits were: 1) "LAST TRAIN TO LONDON OFFICIAL VIDEO", 2) "ALL OVER THE WORLD", 3) "MR BLUE SKY, 4) SWEET TALKIN' WOMAN. For "LAST TRAIN TO LONDON" be sure to search "Electric Light Orchestra - Last Train to London (Official Video)". That's the original video of them playing in the 70's.

Adogg, the whole album had almost all their hits. They were massive! The songs were used for "Saturday Night Fever", the movie, starring John Travolta, was "Saturday Night Fever" and that album exploded. So did Discos with lighted floors and disco balls.

Funky song and fun reaction. I'm a 60 year old white man who has been grooving with the BG's for almost 5 decades. They have a wide array of hits to enjoy. It's hard to pick a favorite, but if I was pressed to pick two, I'd probably pick 1) For the Whom the Bell Tolls, and 2) Alone. Robin's solo parts in these songs just seem to propel these songs to new heights. Thanks Adogg for all the great reactions.

Not sure if anyone has told you, the Bee Gees stands for the Brothers Gibb. They were born in Manchester, England and emigrated to Australia when they were young. They have been performing since they were children. Barry is the oldest & Maurice & Robin are twins. They are all also amazing songwriters & there are a lot of their songs out there sung by very famous singers. Also sadly Barry is the only brother left now. This music is timeless isn’t it? Love to watch you seriously enjoy the music. Xx
