I read that the director and producers had a Stevie Wonder song with the beginning scene. Boz Skags also had songs in the movie but was not used. At the final viewing, they felt they needed a different sound. Robert Stigwood (manager) asked the Bee Gees for songs. They submitted that song and 4 others. Robin said they had no say as to what song to use for which scene. The beginning strut had to be re-synchronized with Travolta's walk to the BG's song.

I have seen them singing with their sister at one of their concerts but just can’t remember which one. She came on as a guest singer. She had a great voice to and they all blended beautifully together

I refuse to believe that someone hasn't heard this song. It's absolutely impossible.

BeeGees were big in the Disco Era. This song has been in a lot of movies. It is also the best they say to use when giving CPR.

These guys were the kings of Disco. They did the wound track for the John Travolta Disco movie 'Saturday night fever'. Tons of great music. The one singing lead is the only living member & his name is Barry. The others are his twin brothers Maurice (balding with beard) & Robin with the long hair. The name came from them being the Brothers Gibb. Bee Gee's. LOL They had a younger brother Andy Gibb that went solo, that sounded like them too. Those genes are strong.

Bee Gees are great. I recommend starting with the 60's and going all the way through 2002 with their songs. There's nobody like the Gibbs brothers. Sadly, only Barry, the oldest brother is left. All the brothers passed away but him. Andy Gibb was the youngest and died at 30 years old. He had a music career of his own, and he was great too. Check out his hit songs. He had 3 number one hits. Love the Dee Gees /Taylor Hawkins' version of Shadow Dancing as well. Better than the original and as a Bee Gees./Andy Gibb fan, I feel guilty staying that. But I prefer it over the original.
