It is a superb carry option!!

Now we just need Springfield to figure out why pistols are losing extractor tension after 600-800 rounds...; I've seen this mentioned as happening on 6 out of 7 reviews of this model on KZread....

Check out the BH spring solutions channel. They fix it with their own parts. But this is something that should come correct from Springfield.

Tension is cause by Springs, Wolfe Springs are the beset in the industry. There is a little known company, Cylinder And Slide (Sarcasm here) that has a plethora of Hi Power Parts, Including extractors And that is why I don't listen to other KZread Channels, I don't come in with Preconceived ideas!! I do the testing for myself!! Oh, last thing, Springfield has a wonderful warranty, your $.10 Extractor Spring goes, they will spend $100 to make it good for you!!

Just got one after waiting for 1 1/2 years. Shoots well. I have my Browninf ahigh power thar was tuned up by Terry Tussey so I swapped thr sear and hammer into thr SA35 so I have an instant tuned trigger.

Give them time, it took them a while to get these out, there was way too much demand!! I would be willing to say that yes, there should be a SS version sometime in the future, I hope.

I don't unerstand the reluctance with the magazine safety. I have several guns with magazine safety's which have never impeded my ability to fire the weapon. What is your concerns with the magazine safety?

For me, is the difficulty to remove the magazine, this design puts pressure on the magazine. That is why Browning came up with the Mouse trap magazines in the .40 Hi Power. Once you remove the magazine safety, the magazine releases very easily!! IMHO, I think this magazine safety was an afterthought.

Mine looks great, feels great and shoots great... when it works. Almost consistent FTE on each mag fired and trigger locking up after reset. She'll go back to Springfield and we'll see what happens afterwards.

@@yrsued Interesting just got mine a week ago and was hearing about the extraction failures. I was hoping having a later serial number that the issue was fixed. I've only put a hundred rounds or so through it and haven't experienced any issues yet.

I love the Hi-Power pistols. I may have to get one just because...Yamil, if hammer bite is bothering you with this pistol, try out a CZ-75. It feels a lot like a Hi-Power, but no slide bite and it holds more rounds. I like them because the grip is longer and fits my hand better. Hi-Power grips a just a little too short for greatest fit to my hands, but the CZ is perfect. Have a great day. I am looking forward to seeing what you do to your SA-35. Thanks.

I didn't get Hammer Bite on this pistol, but the solution is to get a Cylinder & Slide No Bite Hammer!! I love the CZ-75, I want to pick up a surplus one, a beater so I can have CZ Custom in Mesa, AZ do a complete upgrade to it!!

CZ style for ppl with bigger hands, but the Hi Power is sleeker and thinner. It's the perfect size for a 9mm. No one can design anything better for the 9mm cartridge. Same with the 45.

@@yrsued Nice! Last question, what range is your serial number? I just bought this gun two days ago. My serial number is in the 18xxx range. I read the ejection issue was fixed at around the 7000-8000 range.

@@colt10mmsecurity68 HP16XX. The Serial Numbers are NOT that high, I just received some for transfers and they are in the 1200-1600 range, they are NOWHERE close to the 7K-8K range!!

@@yrsued I bought one two days ago. My serial number is HP18xxx. My dealer received 12 guns last week. I looked, handled and compared three guns before I settled on the one I wanted to purchase. All of the guns were in the mid- HP18xxx (5 digit, 7 if you count the “HP” before the number range of serial numbers.

NO, they DID NOT!! Bill announced his retirement. They are in the process of selling the company. The company WILL continue under new ownership.
