    Mine is the same as yours, a great gun with a high number serial #.

    I consider myself a high power aficionado. I own 6. 4 Fn and two browning. All of them but one have the sloppy floppy spring thing going on. Working as intended. Does not affect anything.

    Awesome review and updates. I've had mine for several months and I love it more than my original. Very accurate and such a smooth shooter. So glad I waited for a later model. No malfunctions after 650 rounds.

    The more you shoot a pistol, wear will occur. However on metal frames and slides, I have found applying Enos Slide Glide light gun grease helps a lot..

    @kc0lif The gun grease will help prevent excessive wear, with the break in, and beyond that.

    Very nice review. Thank you, Mine is serial # 28XXX. So far no problems. My left side front of slide is wearing like yours at the front and is a visible loss of finish. Hoping they fixed launch problems.

    Good review. I've had several original Mark 3s & a couple Praticals dual tones. What are the 'issues ' that you had with it? I wanted one the last couple years but stayed away because too many problems.

    Is the spring being that way allow the SA35 to shoot +p ammunition?

  • @juandiegas8211
    @juandiegas821110 күн бұрын

    The spring was pretty sloppily done. Since they were updating the design, they should have done a self-contained spring assembly or double spring like so many guns today. Maybe they could still offer those? They also need to offer several different sight options at least after market. IF the extractor issue has really been solved, then all good otherwise.

    I'm pretty sure J.W said Springfield slightly altered the hammer spur to reduce or eliminate hammer bite. As far as slide contact, it's not a likely problem as long as the shooter grips it correctly.

    If I were to get another 9mm handgun, it would be either this or the Sig Sauer M11A1. As it is, I am loving my Beretta M9 and am going to be looking for a companion Century Arms AP5 (MP5 semi auto clone)

    If I was to improve this gun I do the following... A) Make it optics ready B) put some groove across the top to minimize glare C) Maybe put a really short rail on it but this might take away from the classiness of the gun overall

    spring looks crooked, it shouldnt be bent like that, just straight. might be the cause of your nick on the end of your slide being one-sided.

    The Springfield is hands down a much better weapon than the Girsan. The Girsan has a magazine disconnect. Meaning that you have to have a magazine inserted to fire the weapon. The Springfield’s trigger is a much MUCH better than the Girsan. In fact I think it is better than the FN made hi power. Yes I do own a Browning HI power. It is a FN made in 1968. I do not like the magazine disconnect. It is frustrating and takes away from the trigger pull being smooth.

    Nice, but I would prefer the Indian made clone of the WW2 era Canadian Hi-Powers made by Inglis, the 'Pistol Auto 9mm 1A' from Rifle Factory Ishapore. Better for WW2 reenactment for a start. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pistol_Auto_9mm_1A
