The most balanced and unpredictable group. Don’t underestimate Senegal, by far the most exciting African team on paper. No words for attack, defensively solid with Koulibaly and Salif Sane at the back. Full of physical powers combined with pace up front. A team to look out for

Each of these countries relying so much on their main man. Poland had Lewandowski, Senegal had Mane, Japan had Kagawa and Colombia had James. If their main man doesn't deliver it would be tough for them, though they are not the only good players in their team. Poland had the strongest defence in the group with Szczesny/Fabianski in goal, Glik in CB and Piszczek in RB. Gueye would be the engine for Senegal. Japan just wouldn't quit until the referee blows the whistle, until that they'll keep running, literally. And Colombia is always unpredictable. This is one hell of a group. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Norbert Mikołajczyk the fact that Croatia are favorites should mean that they are in no way a tough group. Nigeria is a shell of its former self, Iceland "could" be a darkhorse, but I honestly doubt it. Croatia and Argentina are going to progress in a heartbeat. This group has Senegal (Mane, Keita, Koulibaly), Poland (Lewandowski, Kuba, Piszceck, Milik, Gilik) , Colombia (James, Cuadardo, Falcao, Ospina) which are really equal imo.

Your videos are so well done and understandable and I absolutely love them! You definitely deserve much more recognition :)

You can hear the struggle with Polish names haha. Great analysis though, I only doubt if Szczęsny will even get a chance to play this World Cup considering he's been in the shadow of Swansea's Łukasz Fabiański for the last few years.

Wow Lewandowski was drawn only 4 times :) no wonder actually BTW Mączyński was not picked up for the World Cup, and the other system Poland was pracitising is 3-5-2, rather than 3-4-3. Cheers and thank you for the great content!

Ismaila sarr is a very good young and talented player for Senegal, and could provide the creativity that they lack. However with their direct style of play, could really see them going through to the next round. Probably the most exciting group to watch🔥

I think Poland has the quality to make a deeper run than expected. They have a stronger defensive spine than it looks on paper and are very dangerous on the attack.

you got Japan spot on the only diffrence i can see is that Japans coach might start Betis and formerly of Eibars left midfilder Takasi Inui instead of Honda with Kagawa filling as the Cam or number 9 behind either Muto of Mainz another one you forgot to mention or Shinji Okazaki

Tifo Football has given me something I didn't realise I wanted. We've been crying out for honest, accessible, well-researched, entertaining content about tactical analysis of football for over a decade. Especially given the sorry state of football punditry that we can only get from a hefty subscription fee, from ex-pros who are often more concerned about publicising themselves than analysing football. Then Tifo Football came along. Great visuals, light but insightful and a channel that can teach you something new every day - no matter how knowledgable you are.

As a Colombian if guys you pardon the comparison I'll say we are Conmebol's England, lots of talent and Hype, very a good at self sabotage and not living up to anything lol. I think we'll do alright tho.

There's always this one group in every world cup where none of them can are favourite to challenge for the title & each member is as likely to progress through as the other.

I think this group is the most exciting so far.

I remember 4 years ago I always thought he would be better than James Rodriguez, unfortunately he hasn't got enough play time until this year, I still believe he can better than James in terms of skill. The part about Japan has a lot of mistakes. Japan doesn't press. Hasebe will probably be paired with Ryota Oshima in midfield. Kagawa probably won't start. Honda is expected to play as a #10, not out wide.

Erik Elias I doubt Hasebe will actually play full 90 considering that he's already 34. Kagawa is definitely going to start, the game yesterday showed how important he is to the team. I feel like Honda should be used either as one of two DMs, CMs (up front), or as a striker. Seriously would rather start Shibasaki than Oshima or Yamaguchi. Defensively they need to be more organized and stop making rash challenges.

They played a B-squad yesterday. Kagawa started for this B-squad (and did very well.) We'll see if that's enough for him to covince the manager. I'd put my money on Usami - Honda - Haraguchi behind the striker. I like the idea of Honda as a striker though :)

Yeah Honda always plays centrally for Japan that means either Kagawa doesn't start or has to play in the wing which isn't his best position.

Erik Elias same imo Usami should play in the center tho. Haraguchi isn't the best as crossing but is great both in defence and in cutting inside (just look how he got the ball from Robben and assisted vs Bayern last season), so he should really play on the left.

TDOT RTZ or they play as two CM behind Okazaki who can track back to defend. Or Okazaki can just be one of the two CM with Honda as a striker.

Most interesting group imo Senegal has a promising team!

Predictions before tournament and tightest group to call 1.Colombia they gave flair and slick players I believe last 16 but not going to be as good as four years ago bit do alright but they be aggressive this time 2.Senegal they have some quality as mane been great this season and have strength and durability and second 3.Japan I think they be tough to beat and they show heart but relying on Honda,kagawa and okazaki they need to them to have good tournament 4.Poland shocking I know but I believe they be the Serbia of 2010 and Austria of 2016 teams who didn't live up to dark horses hype and lewandoski will not score mark my words

For me this is the most fascinating group and it really could go any way depending on how the results go.

I'm Polish and I am a big fan. but I think Senegal and Colombia will make it out of the group.

3:05 Kobayashi is killing it in the Japanese league, he might start over Okazaki

I really think this is a 3 team group. I never got convinced that asian teams got what it takes for the WC and was proven right time and time again. I expect Japan to finish last with Senegal the only team they can be hopeful of taking 3 points from. Senegal meanwhile got a strong side and CAF qualification got way tougher in the last 2 decades so just qualifying kinda prove they can hope of making it to the next round, however I fear Colombia and Poland's quality might mean that their match against Japan is a must win, because it's unlikely they'll win against the other two. The polish and the colombians have no place for errors and I believe they'll qualify if they do as they did in the qualifiers and friendlies.

Hi Chester GC, we have done that sometimes but it actually makes it harder to see and read as the names have to be quite small. Given the nature of these videos as well, and the fact that teams don't select consistent first XIs, we decided not to. Hope that explains.

Japan tried a 3-4-2-1 un recent friendlies with Hasebe droping as a libero, two defensive midfielders and Kagawa with Honda or Inui (their most impresive hidden talent) behind the no 9. Colombia tried a 4-3-1-2 with two 'box to box' midfielders such as Aguilar and Lerma, having only one player dropping wide in the forward position: Muriel playing as a second striker alongside Falcao.
