Germany are absolute certainties in this group and I think they will win the tournament. They've got added unpredictability to the side in 2014 who were more pragmatic and relied on retaining the ball well with a technically gifted midfield 3 and then utilised the likes of Ozil and Muller coming inside off the flanks. Schurlle was probably their game changer with his pace in 2014 but I don't think he will be missed too much, given they have Werner up front to give them that and either Reus or Draxler who will play on the left who give them that dimension in any case. The experience they have lost is Schweinsteiger who was near the end Lahm who was still world class , Klose who they've upgraded on from 2014 with Werner and Howedes who wasn't a left back. With Schweinsteiger I think they will cope, Kimmich is also world class and they've got Hector at left back who's a specialists. Add to that the experience that the core of 2014 has gained and a lack of world class teams at the tournament and I think they'll win it again.

I agree that Mexico is decent but to be honest they are waaaay overrated. Wouldn’t stand a chance in Europe, probably just americans saying Mexico has the best team in the world. As a swede I’m not saying that we Will beat you since we’re not the best of teams either rn, but I think many Will agree that people rate Mexico too high.

However they're definitely not overrated, most people are very aware they cant beat any top tear euro teams

I think Mexico have a very good chance at an upset. The Swedish team lacks creativity, the Koreans pose little threat and Löw will have a tough time controlling all this talent. Remember that the last two winners were knocked out it in the group stage. This Mexican team is young but experienced so I wouldn’t be surprised if they pull out a draw against Germany.

Spotting a few misinformation about South Korea. Jung Woo-young is not a right midfielder, he usually partners up with Ki in the center. Koo is not a starter, he is a backup for either Ki or Jung. Also, since Kwon Chang-hoon didn't make the team due to injury, Lee Seung-woo or Moon Sun-min is likely to start out wide along with Lee Jae-sung.

B Park I haven't seen much of Lee Seung-woo but from some highlights and being a swede I'm a bit concerned. Especially that friendly against Honduras. Lustig is no way near as quick as he used to be and is getting old. If you guys want to have a chance against us, target Lustig with Lee Seung-woo and have combination play with Son and Sweden will have problems. Many experts have been sleeping on him and maybe it's just me but I feel like he's a big threat and a real talent.

Honestly I’m really curious what Osorio might do with Mexico. Yes he shouldn’t experiment as much as he does, but he might as well found a great lineup to at least challenge the great ol’ Deutschland.

Loved it when people were saying, Group A Brazil 9 Croatia 6 Mexico 3 Cameroon 0 because Mexico is trash, Croatia will stomp Mexico because they have Mandzukic, Kovacic, Perisic, Rakitic, Modric, etc. Then the World Cup arrived and it was, Group A Brazil 7 (GD) Mexico 7 Croatia 3 Cameroon 0 and thats not counting the 2 goals that were disallowed because of “offsides” and that handball from Croatia in the PK box, Mexico would have topped that group. So it will be, Group F Germany 7 Mexico 6 Sweden 4 South Korea 0 and I would bet on it.

I dont understand in the Asia Cup 2015 South Korea only conceded 2 goals(that too in the final only) Iran were knocked out in the Quarter finals. I think their team might have undergone a big overhaul to finish first in their AFC qualifing group.

Deepa Hans I feel I can explain,having followed the tournament. Iran were really good in the tournament.They controversially went a man down in the first half itself and the GK Haghighi did not have a good match. They were way better than Iraq and could have easily won in normal time.Overall I feel than Iranian team could have defeated the then Korean team. The current team is equally good though.Haghighi has been replaced by Beranvand and the exciting Ghoddos(who was the only Iranian playing in European competitions this year,I think) is also in the squad.

the mexico formation reminds me of my napoli fm2010 champions league winning team. deep deep deeeeep into my managerial career, i got bored winning everything at real madrid and went on a euro tour challenge. first getting sacked at nott'm forest after demanding extra funds. then a few seasons at villarreal and as roma, who were in serie b at the time. i was then offered the napoli job and took then the the champions league title in my second full season. something i couldn't do in 8 years with milan. i eventually overtook sir alex ferguson as the most successful manager of all time. it's was funny watching real madrid winning the hat-trick of european cups, mirroring almost exactly what i had done during the long scottish winter of 2015-16. i don't play it any more. and the new versions look awful. i didn't have enough experienced full backs after submitting my squad list, so reverted to the 3 at the back with a sitting midfielder in front. i'd like to think this year's world cup will provide lots of upsets and surprises, but it's very unlikely. if there is is changes to my predicted outcome of the 8 quarter finalists, i'll be more than a little shocked. every game is a virtual stick on. just count the number of champions league players in each team and then sum quick arithmetic and bob's not your aunty, but yer uncle. no minnow team will be allowed to progress past the quarter final stages and the referee's will make sure of it. var or no var. in fact, the introduction of var is probably just to make doubley sure this will never happen. it's all a big fix. as much as i'd like to believe it isn't. always go with your first instinct. i've predicted the winners since 2002. never change yer mind.

Die Mannschaft definitely one of favourites to lift the trophy. Germany has one of the most consistent teams ever since the establishment of their youth system, performing well at the biggest stage. Entered the last four in the previous four world cups. Finalists in 2002 and the third place holders in 2006 and 2010 before going all the way in 2014. But Lahm, Klose, Podolski and Schweinsteiger will be missed. Also regained no. 1 spot in FIFA rankings.

tifo football: I must differ in some tactical awareness, you ruled out Hector Herrera from the squad, also its possible that diego reyes may not be at the WC because of a torn harmstring. mexico most of the time play with two defensive midfielders jona/diego, guardado. with jona and guardado they can do the deeplying playmaker/defensive midfielder, but with reyes and guardado, reyes role is pure DM lecturing the high balls and anticipation with guardado as a defensive supportive, if reyes gets the ball he will give it to guardado so he would carry the ball towards the creative wingers. Of course in any of those cases HERRERA will be as a CM/ AMC coming from the back because he is cappable of good mid-range shooting. herrera can perform as a DM. I have more stuff to say but I just wanted to add this info TIFO! THANKS FOR THE GREAT VIDEOS!

Araujo actually played Right Back for Osorio. Reyes rarely plays midfield with Mexico he wont really play theres no room. The center backs arent the problem we have no full backs that are good at both defending and attacking. In every other position we have good players

why all the hate for Osorio? he's not the only one that makes mistakes as a manager. When Germany starts Nueur, who hasn't played in a year and looked bad against austria and saudi arabia, over steer stegen, mexico will take advantage of his mental mistakes and all of a sudden osorio will look like a genius after mexico goes toe to toe with Germany and ends up with a draw

Sweden is pretty underrated. We defeated France, NL and Italy so we could very well beat Mexico for the 2’nd place in the group.
