As a Serbian, I don't see us going through. We had a great manager which helped us top the group only for him to be sacked for dumb reasons and replace him with a manager that has never managed any team before. Serbia has a tendency to disappoint and I won't be surprised if I see it again.

Excluding Brazil (who I expect to qualify unbeaten) I agree with you tifo, Serbia are the strongest team. I saw Mitrovic play at Wembley against an albeit ageing, but international calibre centre back pair of John Terry and James Chester. He was terrific and gained promotion to the premier league. Add into the mix the quality of cross kolarov can produce and I think we have a scoring machine in front of a defensively astute team. 1st Brazil 2nd Serbia. Really intriguing group, looking forward to this one! P.S thanks for all the work Tifo, you're getting me even more excited about the WC!

Tough group, i think everything is possible, for every team!!

I liked all the analysis except Switzerland's. That analysis had a lot of wrong info.

Dont know which game you have watched but it‘s usually Xhaka who drops deeps (behrami is not a passer), further embolo is not even an assured starter since shaqiri is on the right flank. Furthermore Djourou probably wont even play a single game bc he got replaced by akanji from bvb. It astonishes me how badly you and many other pundits rate the swiss team, they are probably even more capable of an upset than serbia.

Yes, Xhaka is hugely important, you saw against Spain, that they struggle to play possession based football without him. Most importantly we need Haris Seferovic to step up and be a good finisher, altough I prefer to play with Drmic or Gavranovic upfront...

MPrime Not as tough as Group H. Poland, Senegal, Colombia and Japan. In this group, anyone could beat anyone so you can't really predict who's going to go through. No "big teams", they are all a "dark horse". This is the real group of death.

Pundits and KZreadrs are seriously underestimating the Swiss ability to get results. They rarely play great, but effective enough to see out group stage opposition. Furthermore, Switzerland have shown that they can challenge big sides and edge out points when needed.

Shaqiri is more than a freekick specialist. He's the star of this team, the playmaker, the dribbler, the creator.

I thought so too, maybe he would start instead of Agusto. Casemiro can cover in defence and Paulinho can move box to box so it frees him up to play his natural game instead of having to come deep to collect the ball or defend when not in possession.

They have enough attacking talent with their front 3 and their full backs. Especially when Alves wasn't injured they didn't need additional creative force coming from the midfield, so Tite sacrificed it for a stronger defense as Augusto is a much better fighter in the midfield than Coutinho. I think having to replace Alves with Danilo or Fagner, who are both admittedly terrible (should have called up Mariano imo), Coutinho might get more playing time, at least when they aren't playing other contenders.

Nope Switzerland will beat Serbia, the talent level is even but Switzerland is more experienced. Switzerland will make the game and Serbia will counter. It's close, Switzerland will get more chances but Serbia is more clinical so it will be an interresting game.

Brazil will surely top the group, They’re one of my favourites to win the whole tournament. Under Tite, Brazil look like a real force again. I think Switzerland will get 2nd, ahead of Serbia. Costa Rica could pull off a shock, just like in 2014.

Brazil has a very good overall squad and their form against Croatia in the friendly is a very good predictor of their performance in the world cup. As a Man utd supporter, so happy to see fred signed. They have a good chance at the title, as long as players are in form.

Yet, they did beat Portugal 2-0 just after they were crowned European Champions. They just drew against Spain (who many believe to be another title contender) and smashed Panama (Not like they're good, but hey, they did beat Costa Rica 2-1 ;-) ) Guess we'll see next week...

Great video, but I have no idea why you said Renato Augusto will start for Brazil instead of Coutinho. Coutinho has played most games for Brazil recently, we all here in Brazil are almost sure he will not only start for Brazil, but be a key player. The most likely starting line-up is: Alisson Marcelo Miranda Thiago Silva Fagner Casemiro Paulinho Philippe Coutinho Neymar Willian Gabriel Jesus OR Firmino (either one works)

Brazil seems to be the obvious team to top the group. However the fight for 2nd seems intense all teams especially serbia and switzerland could get 2nd and I truly feel it will down to 1 or 2 points, or goal difference to determine who goes through this
