Never touch the bow hair cause you'll get it greasy and when you wanna apply rosin it won't grip well on the horse hair!

Very nice! I just ordered my first Fiddlerman violin after playing for 1.5 years. I'm ready for an upgrade. You went REALLY nice for your very first violin! WOW!

You stated with rite violin, I bought the same violin to start with so I don't have to upgrade as I advance in my playing. Have fun with it. That tube is a string tube, never touch the hair on the bow with your fingers. Rosin is rosin, some is better than others. You will learn as you time passes. Fiddlerman uses all quality stuff for his violins, he plays all the violins to make sure it sounds great.

Have fun fitting that Fiddlerman…chinrest. 😄 (And I will say it takes pure confidence to buy a $1300 instrument before starting to play. Most of us begin with basic instruments that cost around $100, and only upgrade after we know we're not going to give it up. You’re all in from the very start. 👍)

That's cool. But violin being a difficult instrument, many people loose interest through time..so it's advised to use a cheap one initially, or rent one. It would be a shame if someone invests 1500 dollars to buy a violin and he later finds that violin not his cup of tea which is sad because the instrument would probably be never played again

In any first violin lesson, we learn never to touch the bow hairs with our fingers, and not to touch the varnished wood of the violin but to handle carefully only by the edges of the instrument or the neck and chinrest area. And never to touch the strings between the top of the fingerboard and the bridge, which is the bowing area. Unless you need to, but should cringe while doing so, not keep on and on and on, in a wild way!

I say that because you need to research the violin much better than you have and the bows. Never touch the bow hair as you transfer oil to the hair. Don't over tighten the strings, and wipe of all finger prints from the varnish if you want your violin to last I have the exact fiddle you have and I enjoy it very much. Hope this helps, enjoy your fiddle young man. And get a violin humidifier so the wood stay at constant temp always in the case.
