According to CDC it looks like post exertional malaise is the key difference (if you sesrch post exertional malaise it comes up ME/CFS). Post exertional malaise is one of the requirements for ME/CFS diagnosis

I did find this video very helpful. I am on a years long discovery of what my issues are, how they effect my functioning and how to manage them (RA, Fibromyalgia and Adhd etc., etc). I've just recently started to wonder if I may have chronic fatigue because, with great disappointment, I've become less energetic and more fatigued over the past 10 years (I was more active when I just had chronic pain) I'm starting to not be able to remain awake throughout the day or sleep at night. It's very overwhelming because im not able to keep up with my nieces, nephews and other family and friends as I was able to before. And engaging in activities that give me great joy and fulfillment has dropped dramatically. But apparently according to a lot of other people, there isnt anything wrong with me. And I can't seem to find a doctor that will pay attention to how the fibro and all other issues effects my life. I'm discovering more and this video has added to my knowledge, helping me to try to find other avenues to take so i won't feel like a prisoner with no life. Thank you 👍

Thank you so much for this video! I have fibromyalgia and I've been confused for years as to what the difference between it and CFS is. Your video is the only thing I've ever seen to clearly explain the difference!

It's so helpful. I had a fight with chronic pain last year and Curable was so so so helpful i can't even explain how thankful I am:) But now that i am on top of pain and almost free of it, the fatigue is what makes my life suck. When I started tracking those both symptoms back in time i realised they were with me for years but i (and doctors) always tried to find other explanations. Now that i fall asleep on playgrounds it hit me that its probably Real CFS and not me being lazy/me being mom/me being stupid/me being weak/searching attention/ not believe God and so on.

Yeah that fatigue is very real. I've found yoga nidra/ non-sleep deep rest meditations have been very helpful with my energy levels and getting some quality rest throughout the day. Even the 10 minute ones on KZread. Hope your fatigue improves 🌺

I have been eliminating and reintroducing foods like gluten and caffeine in my system for over a year. Both wreck my body and I eliminated caffeine first, and have been gluten free for 4-5 wks now (it has helped bring my anxiety down as well as improving my gut health). I am still having arthritic pain in my hands/wrists and elbows, as well as ankles and feet (my feet crunch in the morning when I start walking and y wrists and shoulders have started popping too). My eye pressure was abnormally high at my recent eye exam to warrant further tests that revealed that I am borderline for developing glaucoma. So close that he wants me back in 3 months to recheck pressure. I’ll also be retesting for confirmation LA antibodies and the rheumatologist already stated I have iron deficiency anemia. I’m asking about doing a nail fold test since she is leaning toward just fibromyalgia without possibility of an autoimmune because the tests aren’t aligning neatly within the clinic setting.

You got a lot going on, but I'm glad you're discovering some of the food triggers for your symptoms. How are you feeling about all of these different findings?

@@RestfulRheum now that my gut health is better, my head feels clearer. I felt tightly wound and impulsive before cutting gluten out of my diet. I am calmer and back to being more rational. It is also helping me pin down where I am feeling pressure and realizing that a full day (or even half a day) of errands and activities drain me. I can usually get a second wind of energy with a short nap, but I try to push through since I go to bed fairly early anyway. I am also realizing my chest pain is worse at the top of my rib cage, especially after a long day of being on my feet all day. Also ear and eye pressure is higher and more intense in the evening. It is making me feel there is something else going on.

@@RestfulRheum thanks, much appreciated and received. I’m being retested to confirm LA antibody presence in early May, and already have my next appt with the rheumatologist at the end of next month. I am going to push for at least a nail fold test because my raynauds is behaving more like secondary. I also want to have my ferritin retested since it was very low back in late January and I have been actively eating more salmon to see if that boosts my iron levels. I don’t feel like it has, but even if it bumped up slightly would be better than a 4.
