1974. I was a young Air Force Airmen. I worked with a Senior Master Sergeant Luigi, a BEAUTIFUL woman, in her early 30's. It took her 14 years to make E-8. She was absolutely dumb as a stump....and at the time, was dating the Wing Commander (seriously against the UCMJ). She made Chief a couple of years later.

Not sure how it is today, but back in the 80s/90s not so uncommon. That's why a good LT will specifically call this out (e.g. no weapons in rooms) prior to when an inspection about to be made. Mad scramble from the barracks to the POVs typically ensues.

Like my housing in graduate school. Better than a dorm where you had to share a room with someone else and the bathroom with the whole floor. At least I can cook my food on a stove, ironically no microwave. University housing food was rather bland and got boring after a while.
