At 8:38, I know his pain. I had a 500lbs cable coil fall off the back of a 5T truck right onto my foot. Of course, I was wearing my regular boots instead of my steel toes. After my nail turned black and I could barely walk, I finally went to BAS. The Corpsmen there fucked with me like the damned boot Marine that I was, and ripped that freaking dead nail right out by the root. Still brings shivers thinking about it.

It might have been a good thing. A friend of mine was wearing steel toes n was standing at the front of a forklift kind of walking with it making sure this big tractor part didn’t fall off. It hit a little bump, fell and landed right on the steel toe part of the boot, but it was so heavy, it smashed it down into his foot almost cutting his foot in half. Broke all his bones across the top of his foot and cut into the top of his foot real bad they had to do all kinds of surgery n stitch it back together. He didn’t lose his foot though, but had to cut the whole boot off and bend the steel back up to even get his foot out to work on it… 500 pounds is a lot. I’m not sure what this tractor part weighed, but had to be at least that or close to it. Glad you’re alright.

@@benyoung552 without steel toes there's a good chance his flesh and bone would of been mashed like ground beef. Also, steel toe is becoming a thing of the past. Most quality work boots are a safety composite toe these days. They rebound back, aren't as cold, and aren't conductive.

@@jonyemm Oh yeah. True… I guess with the steel toe it was more of a clean cut opposed to being smashed. And those new composite work boots and shoes are great. I have a pair of the shoes because my job Requires a lot of climbing and I love em.

@@benyoung552 I think my favorite thing about them is that while working outside throughout the winter my toes aren't freezing cold every though I'm wearing insulated boots. I often used to get tempted to get a non-safety toe pair for the winter just for the warmth. I almost never wear sneakers/shoes. For my day to day activities I like the ankle support provided by a pair of quality tall work boots. Last 4-5 years I've went with a pair of Timberland Pro logger boots. Though my most recent pair I'm not to happy with the lack of longevity.

One day in the Navy I had a toe nail flopping around only connected at the base. I broke it out in the shop to mess with the pregos and my buddy says let me see that and gets real close. Dude rips it off before I realize what's happening. It was awesome.

I had a ingrown toenail get removed like they show here. I was out at sea for the first time getting no sleep and cranking. I got a few days off of cranking and it was the greatest.

If you are new to the military, hold off on the marriage and having children. Get your career established, get your sh*t together, build your body, build your bank, get tight with God, and knock out all of your training, college, deployments, and so forth. There is nothing wrong in purchasing a $2K love doll to get you by. Seriously. Marriage is a critical investment and those who choose poorly by thinking with the wrong head will endure long term consequences. The paternity test issue is very common than most people think. There are likely many male soldiers paying child support for children that are not even theirs. If you had a child around the time of deployment, get a paternity test. Fortunately, the family court system is picking up on this dire trend and are requiring paternity tests before a divorce is finalized. Many lawyers are requiring it too. Lastly, just before receiving and opening the paternity results, have someone ready to talk to, especially those going through divorce and feel like they are losing everything.

Having my toenails removed was one of the best decisions i ever made No one needs toenails Dragging a deflatable one day barefoot it caught on my big toenail ripping it almost completely off, i just grabbed it and yanked the rest of the way off and toss into the water “dont need that anymore” It grew back all fucked up, leading to more constant pain…. Eventually i had both big toe and both middle toenails removed For sure the right call

Only had to report to medical for foot problems and intestinal problems from deployment, but the white board sign is spot on!

4:16 i’m eating my midnight chow after midnight---been retired almost 7 years now---and that fire alarm went off and I jumped up and I’m ready to grab all of my kids and evacuate my house!!!!!!
