Feeding Pet Alligator Gar on New Inflatable Dock!

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

In this video, I get a new inflatable dock to be able to step out and feed my pet alligator gar. The dock worked great and will be used in many feedings in the future. Thank y’all for watching!!

Maybe the turtles won’t come up to eat becz they need some cover. Also, perhaps there are wild animals at night when you aren’t there in the beach trying to eat them. They may be scared to go on the beach anymore. It would be interesting to use a night vision recording camera to see if there is any activity

Yeah, there might be some covering vegetation needed like tall grasses. The stuff I've seen in those ponds seems to be all below-surface aquatic vegetation. Some thick grasses might be needed.

Maybe get a couple of bushes from roadside ditches? A few big rocks for the bank. Dress it up a bit so other life can come to the ponds. Dragonflies, smaller insects will bring bird. The birds can be bait for bigger birds or smaller birds can defend their new home. They are new ponds, it’ll take time but whatever you do, I’ll be watching!

Wow, those Gar are really growing. Those ducks won’t be lasting too long. That’s why, when you see a river with Alligator Gar, there’s no fowl on the river or creek. You should build a “real dock”, with angle iron for legs and boards on top. The agar are most likely feeding on the Blue Gill too. Do you know, the Gars head can expand, when it eats something wider than it’s mouth. They are the same as Northern Pike and Muskie. I had a Northern Pike in my tank and I put a Rainbow Trout, that was 3/4 the size of the Pike, and the Pike ate him. The Pike’s face looked as flat as a dinner plate, but after 3 days, he got him down.
