I have had this (1-14) since 1998 and technically got it for free. It was a great box set, especially back then as a young kid to be able to watch all the wrestlemanias and get to know the history of the 80s and early 90s

Yes it is a great set. Especially with them being (almost) uncut. When I was a kid, the only way to watch 1 & 2, were the very cut down Coliseum Video releases.

I remember when this was released, i bought the individual tapes of the first 5 , 8 and 14 as those were the ones i didn't have recorded. When i was able to do so i bought the first version of this box set with 1-14.

When they first came out I bought 1 and 2 because they were the only ones I didnt have the broadcast version of. I only had dubs of the Coliseum Videos. I got this set much later.

I remember having the Wrestlemania 1-13 box set. I never had the 1-15 one though, which looking back would have been the one to have since you got 15 Wrestlemania events in it.

I am glad I have this set with 1-15. I wanted to get the original 97 release, but I heard there were issues and cuts made. I don't know if anyone who owns that particular set can attest?

7-13 have different artwork then coliseum tapes

Also on 97 version of 11 it’s the encore with roddy piper interrupting a bunch of stuff which makes me wonder about this set of it has salt n pepa without encore piper or if it’s a coliseum video copy

I’m not that familiar with WM11. I can’t tell you the last time I watches it. Possibly when it aired or shortly thereafter. Though I believe I ordered off PPV at my house and have the original live feed.

@@CollectorsEntertainmentNetwork I had free cable boxes that got every channel for free plus scramble/ blurry wishi record those clear ones and the 97 version of 11 is encore version with piper idk about attitude version it might just be a coliseum copy

I have the 97 box set no water marks n salt n pepa with all original music for 1. 5 during pipers pit they wide shot when brother love gos up ramp n edit out gorilla n jesse commentary also jesse in main event bashing Elizabeth 13 had some different shots n for some reason after street fight king says where’s my crown is edited out

Yeah for some reason there seems to be slightly different edits of them released.

I have this VHS set as well, but I have the year before 1997 version with black and gold coloring. So it’s manias 1-13. I agree, the one reason why I think this set is gold is because in mania 1 Hogan comes out to eye of the tiger, Cyndi Lauper comes out to girls just wanna have fun, and US Express comes out to Born in the USA. I’m still shocked they released it this way. So really there are 3 versions of this set.

@@CollectorsEntertainmentNetwork yeah, and the 1997 version of 1-13 the box looks completely different. And there was no pamphlet that came with it. I remember buying from wwe shop over the phone in the very beginning of 1998. The videos did not come with a individual case either.
