    I assume the Batman V Superman in this set is the remastered Imax cut? I've been hoping they would remaster Man of Steel because of its less than stellar ancient HD 4K master. Snyder said he wanted to. But who knows with WB.

  • @CollectorsEntertainmentNetwork
    @CollectorsEntertainmentNetwork11 күн бұрын

    Funny you should mention that, because I just overpaid for three issues from the UK lol I obviously bought mine here in the US, but in 1995, three of the issues have different covers in the UK than they do in the US. I wanted to show them off on the show. So, after a while of procrastinating I finally just ordered from someone in the UK who had all three on eBay. While they were more than I wanted to spend, having them all from one seller who combined shipping just made it easier. As for value, the earlier the issue, the more expensive it is. Even though people on eBay ask for ridiculous prices, those early issues shouldn’t go for more than $60. By the time you get into the 90’s, they’re like $5-$10. Thanks for watching and commenting. Love hearing everyone’s memories of these magazines.

    I think I had some of these too, but not as many as PWI and Inside Wrestling. And that's the hugest microphone I've ever seen on any youtube channel lol. Von Erichs and Steve Simpson, sweet. I remember Shaun and Steve Simpson. They were good in WCCW. Oh yeah and The Wrestler I used to read too. Flair's most satisfying had to be either beating Harley Race st Starrcade 83 or maybe beating Dusty Rhodes by that point in his career. Crockett it would probably be starting his promotion and getting Dusty as a booker. They had some of Dusty's old books at a recent WWE exhibit by the way that Cody gave on loan. Harley Race I'd see winning the NWA World Heavyweight Title, since he was already an 8 time champion at that point and was King of the Ring by the end of that year. Sullivan and Brody I don't know too well. but I know they were in some memorable feuds. Or Slater for that matter. Hansen maybe one of the titles he won. Or his classic match with Andre in Japan in 1983 that was 2 matches in one, since it was restarted. First it was a double countout, then a DQ win for Hansen. Ivan Koloff would probably either be the Koloffs feud with Road Warriors or beating Bruno for the WWWF World Heavyweight Title at a house show that was somehow not televised. Kerry would either be one of the classic matches with his brothers and the Freebirds or maybe winning the world title from Flair. And if you have any of the older Stanley Weston mags aka The Weston Mags instead of just the Apter Mags, I'd be down to check those out too. I think I heard on the Jake the Snake DVD that Wrestling 2 was the guy Jake was working with when he came up with the DDT finisher in the Crockett territory. Seen him on my Andre and Bret compilations. He's not too bad in the ring. Speaking of the Von Erichs, have you seen the Iron Claw movie yet? I'm planning on ordering the DVD this summer. And yep, started just before Wrestlemania 2. I believe his face turn was early 87 on The Snake Pit before turning heel again in 91 when turning on Ultimate Warrior with the king cobra. Oh nice, The Road Warriors won the Crockett Cup? I remember sometimes they would also put together 2 singles wrestlers for that tournament too, like when Sting and Luger won it. Or Rhodes and Nikita the year before in 1987 as The Super Powers. Looks like they only did it from 86-88 until a new NWA promotion came along and brought it back in 2019, which I don't watch. If you want something current that's the closest to old school wrestling, I'd say check out AEW (All Elite Wrestling) or ROH (Ring of Honor). WWE is starting to improve without Vince McMahon, but not enough yet for old school fans. Looks like Crockett Cup happened over 1 night.

    My brother lost the Return Of The Jedi DVD so now I only have episodes 4, 5, and the bonus content and I remember watching it in the car on road trips. However, I did recently order the Return Of The Jedi DVD so I can finally complete the trilogy! Btw do you have a playlist link for all of your Star Wars videos? Although I don’t really have a “collection” per se, I am big on physical media Edit: One more quick update: I only have the outside of the DVD box (with Vader), and not the inside part that seals up the box. I have a bunch of different screenplays. I have the UK printings of the public screenplays they aren't the shooting scripts, i have the continuity scripts from the Executor boxed set. I have the Special Edition Artbook with the A New Hope screenplay. I have the 3 film screenplays from Suncoast back in the day, the also did the Indy movies and a couple of the Star Treks premiere movie script library. I also downloaded all the different drafts and printed them up in binders, the shooting scripts, the unused ones. Wish the earlier Phantom Menace drafts would surface, or even George's sequel scripts would leak. I like to read and collect scripts so I'd even read Last Jedi if it was made available it's not available. I found the screenplay for Force Awakens quite valuable because it shows a far different plan than what they did. Things like Star Wars 2 by Leigh Brackett, or Duel of the Fates are like what might have been movies.

  • @CollectorsEntertainmentNetwork
    @CollectorsEntertainmentNetwork28 күн бұрын

    Yeah i want that version too. But I think Spielberg got backlash from fans for the changes in the 2002 version (just like Lucas did with the SW Special Editions) that he reversed course and put the movie back the way it had originally been. And then only released it that way.

    I have a lot of Star Wars Laserdiscs, sadly the early releases have laser rot. For Star Wars 1977 both my first issue Us pressing and Japanese pressing are very full of bright speckles and snow. My Japanese making of Empire Strikes Back the rot was like the deleted sandstorm from Return of the Jedi. Amazing how the making of SW side was clean with only a couple dropouts. Early 1980s laserdiscs are generally hit or miss. The worst SW rotter I know of is ROTJ pan and scan Japan Pioneer pressing I have like 3 rotted copies. Buying Mutiple copies allowed me to make a clean copy based on how some of them had sides that were fine. I won't do that anymore if a title is a rotter i avoid it I won't try again, Ghosbusters Criterion CAV and Willow THX taught me a lesson. Money burned.
